Mechelle pov
I pouted as I sat barefoot in the room, playing with a 3D puzzle. Small wooden pieces were scattered across the carpet, and I meticulously tried to assemble them according to the instruction manual. Each time I managed to piece together some of it, it would collapse again halfway through. After several attempts, I started to feel like maybe 3D puzzles weren't my thing after all.
I had just wanted to put together a majestic sailing ship for my little one. When they were older, I could tell them, "Mommy finished this for you when you were just over forty days old."
Lost in concentration, I didn't hear the footsteps approaching behind me. Seeing my puzzled expression, Alexander Duncan couldn't help but smile faintly.
"Looks like you're struggling there. Here, it should be like this. See, isn't that better?" He crouched down and took the partially assembled ship from my hands.
