Mechelle's POV
As I arrived at the upscale café, a faint fragrance of freshness permeated the air. Beige curtains gently swayed against the clean marble floor, while sunlight streamed in through the windows, casting dappled shadows on the ground.
Linda was already seated, waiting for me. She wore a vintage silk gown adorned with delicate diamonds, shimmering radiantly against her chest. Ruby earrings added to her regal elegance.
"Sorry, there was some traffic on the way," I said as I took a seat across from her, offering a apologetic smile.
"No worries, I just got here myself. Besides, it's only right for the younger one to wait for the elder," Linda replied, gesturing for the waiter. "Mrs. Duncan, this café is owned by our Chen family. Feel free to order anything you like."
