Mechelle POV
In the garage, a brand new Porsche caught my eye, and I slid into it. Soon, the car glided out of the villa area, winding along the mountain roads, a cool breeze brushing past my ears. It felt serene, like I was about to be swept away by the wind. Since all of our family's assets were confiscated, I hadn't touched a car, nor enjoyed this feeling.
Maybe it's time to catch up with a few old friends today! Otherwise, they might think I've fallen into a pit and can't get out.
Dad always said, to get something, you must first be willing to give up something.
The sacrifices I've made will one day be repaid in full.
I sped along the deserted mountain road, pulled out my phone, and called Melody, telling her I wasn't feeling well today and asking her to cover for me in class.
Melody was worried about me and remembered what happened at school yesterday. She wanted to say something but didn't.
