As her icy blue eyes shot open, Allegra realized that she was late for her lecture.....again. She groaned as she got out of bed, facing the fact that she had to face Mrs Josephine's wrath for the fifth time that week.
Allegra hated attending her lectures late but her eyes never opened before eight in the morning. The thought of hundreds of pair of eyes staring at her and possibly laughing at her, made her shiver.
Nonetheless, she lazily dragged herself to the restroom and got ready.
As she made her way along the cold hallway, someone bumped into her, causing all her books to fall. As Allegra fixed her glasses, she lifted her gaze to find a familiar menacing smirk. As her gaze lifted further, she found a pair of piercing green eyes glaring at her. "Amber", she whispered to herself.
"Lost? Four eyes"? Amber said with a wicked grin. Allegra gathered her belongings and brushed her clothes clean. She sighed and began to walk away.
When she reached the lecture hall, her heartbeat sky rocketed.
Gathering the courage, she made her way in only to find two janitors cleaning the place. "Wait what? Where is everybody"? One of the Janitors looked up from the ground to find a confused Allegra.
"Something wrong kid"? Allegra looked at him puzzled and said, "Yeah, there was a lecture supposed to be held here". The janitors then proceeded to inform her that the lecture was done over two hours ago.
Allegra left the hall looking dumbfounded. She walked up to a window and checked the huge clock. It was mid afternoon. She mentally face palmed herself and made her way to the cafeteria.
She walked up to one of the tables and left her bag pack there. As she proceeded to get some food, someone pounced on her, almost making her drop her food.
Allegra squealed in alarm, only to find her best friend Olivia grinning at her. "Hey Ally"!"Careful there Olivia. You almost made me drop my food".
Olivia gave her a sheepish smile and dragged her to the table. "Oh my god! Guess what"? "What"? She replied, her mouth full of food.
Olivia wiggled her eyebrows and said," there's a very cute guy who recently joined our university".
Allegra stopped chewing her food and raised her eyebrows. "So"? she said, not interested at all.
"So"? Olivia repeated, looking offended. "This guy looks like a rock star. His hair is as silky as my sheets. And his eyes oh my god. They pierce into your eyes every time you look at them. His face looks like it has been moulded by the finest sculptors. I could go on and on about him. He's just so perfect".
Olivia sighed as she started dreaming about the guy she had just described. Her hands slid through the table top, as she gently lay her head on it. In the midst of her day dreaming, Allegra snapped her fingers in front of her face, making her snap out of it.
"What"? she said, sounding annoyed. "I was in the midst of him asking me out".
Allegra rolled her eyes as she continued to munch on her food."We have a chem exam next week. You know that right"?
Olivia gave a pause before saying,"So? Exams come around every week. Boys like this come around really rarely".
Allegra sighed as she got up to keep her tray back. As she began to walk back, the bell echoed along the hallways loudly.
After that the day went by pretty quickly. Olivia wouldn't stop talking about the new "handsome hunk" in their university.
As they began to leave the building, a tiny blonde walked up to them. She looked at Olivia and said," Mrs Josephine is looking for you". Olivia raised her eyebrows and pointed towards herself. "Me"? She asked dumbly.
"There's no other Olivia here, is there"? The tiny girl said sarcastically. With that she swiftly turned around and left.
Olivia just blinked in the girls direction looking dumbfounded. Allegra coughed to break the awkward silence and said,"I guess you have to go then right"? Olivia gave her a sheepish smile. "I guess so".
Allegra jumped on her bed when she reached home. She groaned as her back throbbed with pain. Before she got back up to change out of her clothes, her eyes shut close.
It had been a week since the new guy joined the college and Olivia wouldn't stop talking about him. Allegra was fed up with her. But the more she heard about him, the more she got curious. Even though it had been a week, she hadn't seen this heart throb as everybody called him.
This heart throb as every claimed to be had never been eyed on by Allegra. "Who is this guy?" she wondered to herself.
