"Wow..."
The woman whispered to herself as she read the book within her hands. After the man had lead her to the history section, she grabbed almost everything on the shelves. Yet the man stopped her and was stuck with just bringing 3 books.
History of the Gasuthia Empire and it's Royal Family.
A book of the Blessed Udith Church.
and a generalized book about the regions and their stories in this island.
Athena was quick to find a spot in where she can sit in peace and quiet. She sat down at a table near the window off to the far corner, the man with blue eyes followed just behind her. More like someone worried that she'd steal one of the books. She turned around and raised an eyebrow at the man.
"Shouldn't you be doing librarian things right now?"
The man scoffed as he walked ahead of her and sat at the seat that would be across from where she was going to sit.
"I am. I'm keeping an eye on you, a commoner maid who isn't even allowed to be inside the Royal Library."
He spoke in a soft yet serious voice. He then opened his own book that he was holding and began to read on his own. The print was too small for Athena to see without leaning in, but she didn't really bother with trying to figure it out.
She then sat down across the black haired man and placed her books lined up in front of her. She stared down at all of them, trying to figure out what was best to start with. She felt she had to set herself up to know what she needs to do to "stop the current royal family" like the god told her..
The god...
She placed her hand on the "The Blessed Udith Church" A church was probably still the same as the one she knew about back on Earth right? She sat herself down a bit more comfortably and opened the book. She stared down at the book, before looking up at the man ahead of her. No comment, he just kept reading his book.
She took a deep breath and opened the book.

An hour or so has passed and she finally closed the book with both hands. She looked out at the window near the table to see how much time has passed, The sun was lower than when she looked at it first but there was still time in the day. She wasn't sure what else she had to do today anyways so she looked down at the book once again to organize her thoughts and information about the book she just read.
Firstly, Udith is the sole creator of this world. Similar to how God was, but actively interacting with the world through the churches with Oracles and blessings.
Secondly, even though he was unhappy with how the current Royal family is acting, due to him giving a blessing to the first royal family and a promise to keep blessing whoever was considered the royal family, he couldn't do anything to interfere.
Lastly, he's also the reason people have magic. Through schooling and devotion to him, usually priests and knights, are given a blessing at one of Udith's churches.
There was still a lot, but the most important thing was those. Who the god was, his reason with the royal family, as well as the magic in this world.
For a god to be the only one to worry and watch over the world, it must be quite a bit of work.
She looked up from skimming through the book to see the man still sitting there in front of her. He was still reading through the book he had, it did look like a long story. She didn't pay to much mind though and continued with her goal, to learn and read these books.
She pushed the one she finished aside and took a deep breath. Athena grabbed the next book, The Gasuthia Empire and it's kingdoms and region. Flipping through the Atlas, it showed 4 different sections.
Right in the middle of this huge island, was just Gasuthia. To show the empire's name as well as where the core of the empire resides. Flipping through, it showed the region. Gasuthia empire's city was also called Gasuthia. It was huge, it was like many different cities bundled up together, they even had their own names really.
Right in the center was called the "Sun", where the Royal Family resides. A large castle with large walls surrounding it. Yet the space between the wall and the castle was huge, there was enough from for farms within the castle walls, yet it was mostly Buildings for the workers, as well as where the royal guards train and resides. Different buildings as well that some aristocrats stay at, as well as the second prince's mansion.
Next was the North west region. Vrosa. It was where many aristocrats lived. The Duke and many more. They all had large properties but combined was still smaller than the "Sun."
North East, Yence, was for the high ranking. Royal guards commanders and such. As well as where the high end shopping district is at.
South West was called Lapos. Where wealthy commoners lived as well as lower end shopping district.
Then the South East. The place that gets the worst end of the stick, Amvine. Many of the poor stays there as well as where many criminal activities lay.
Gasuthia was already quite a lot to learn of, so many things to take account.
Then there was the 3 kingdoms.
Lurrovia Kingdom, where the Empress was from before marrying into the Royal Family.
Tevell Kingdom, who governs the Western side of the empire. Where most of the farming and food is at. As well as being the second largest from Gasuthia.
Aphuya Kingdom, The smallest kingdom yet had quite the important role. Governing the Sea entrance as well as the main go to for sea transport of each kingdoms.
"Aphuya.."
Athena whispered to herself. It felt familiar. Something deep inside her could feel that. Maybe a history of this body.
Finally finishing this book as well, she took a deep breath as she leaned against her chair. There was quite a bit of information she had just stuffed into her brain. It took a bit from her. She closed her eyes as she looked up to the roof. There was so much she had to think about.
One thought that kept poking at her though, why is she doing this?
Putting so much effort in where she was ready to end things at her old world.
She didn't owe the god anything, she didn't even ask for this.
Yet it felt nice, a purpose of some sort. So many new things. She still had to work, yet it was new, not something that wanted her to give up everything in life, at least not yet. For now, she just wanted to enjoy life because she never did before.
She finally opened her eyes and sat straight. Looking at the to the man in front of her.
"he... fell asleep."
She spoke softly, looking at the man who had his head on the table, laying on his arm. She let out a chuckle.
"What a great librarian."
She whispered before looking down at the last book in front of her on the table.
Lastly, it was the very thing she was here for. To learn about the Royal family.
