Chapter 4 - BRIGHT LIGHT SUMMER CAMP

Jade Thompson stared at Emily.

' Cousin don't go to that summer camp.' Emily Thompson says.

Jade raises her eyes in interest. She was the first Thompson persuading her to not go.

' I just feel that the summer camp isn't safe enough as you're a girl and the majority population are boys.' Emily Thompson says avoiding Jade's gaze.

' I'm sorry but I have made up my mind. The camp isn't safe but do you think staying here is safe. But don't worry I'll take care of myself.' Jade says as she flashes a smile.

Emily Thompson is stunned. Her cousin just smiled at her.

' Well..Well then beware of someone surnamed Mark.' Emily says and leaves in a fleeing manner.

Jade chuckled. Emily Thompson reminded her of her assistant Lucy. But that same Lucy made her a villain in her novel.

If she remembered correctly, the summer camp was the beginning of the establishment of Jade's villain base. Most of the rich second generation heirs became her lackeys but later fell out with her after being affected by Ruby Thompson's "Kind Nature"

Jade followed her memory and arrived at the Thompson House.

She went to her room and lay on the bed. Suddenly she remembered that System Jade hadn't spoken for a while.

' JT are you there?' She asked.

' What do you want?' System Jade replies.

' How did you die?' Jade asked.

That part of her memories was hazy.

System Jade was silent for a moment.

' Ruby fed me food containing aphrodisiac and I borrowed Emily's tank to cool off. She helped me pump out the water, so I could hide there. It was all going fine till Wendy's right hand woman connected a pipe to the tank and released a gas inside which I suspect is Carbon monoxide. I tried to get out but I discovered the tank was tightly sealed.' System Jade says.

Jade Thompson fell into deep thoughts. It seemed like a conspiracy but why would "her" twin team up with "her" stepmother to kill her.

Who cares? As long as they don't involve her.

' Reminder; You have a pending mission.' System Jade says.

' Sh*t! I totally forgot.' Jade sat up and hurriedly went through her book. She was good in History, English, Literature and Music. So she skipped those and opened a Biology notebook.

She was surprised at how detailed and concise the note was.

' It seems like teachers here are better than in my world.' Jade commented.

' I'm your dreams! I made that note myself, noone can do it better than me.' System Jade says as if she was talking to the most ignorant person in the world.

Jade purses her lips, the book mentioned something about Jade Thompson being narcissistic.

Jade pushed away all distracting thoughts and read

the notebook. At first it was somewhat confusing but it later got simpler, she was so engrossed that she fell asleep at the break of dawn.

***********

' You knock.'

' No you do it.'

' Someone has to knock.'

' Then do it.'

Four maids were arguing outside Jade's room.

' What's going on here?' Wendy Thompson asks.

The maids shuffle awkwardly till one said,

' Well First young Miss has to be at the camp by 9.30 am but its 9.47 but she hasn't woken up yet.'

Wendy Thompson frowned. Was this a tactic to escape camp? She should have known that this evil spawn could do nothing right.

She suppressed her dissatisfaction and knocked on the door.

' Jade! Hurry up you are late for camp.' Wendy says in a loud voice.

Inside,

Jade swore and cursed as she took her bath quickly.

' F*ck I haven't even packed my bag. JT you didn't even wake me up.' Jade complained as she stuffed clothes into the bag in a disorganized manner.

' Stop nagging. Do I look like your Nanny Brown?' System Jade replied fed up with Jade Thompson's incessant charter.

' What do you..... Wait How do you know Nanny Brown?' Jade asks. Nanny Brown was her childhood nanny.

' Maybe I mentioned it before. Girl are you like an all day mourner? No red, no blue, just black and white what am I? A secretary?' Jade kept nagging.

Two hours later,

' First Miss we are here.' The driver said.

Jade looked at the Plaque.

BRIGHT LIGHT SUMMER CAMP was so old that the plaque now said;

_FIGHT LIGH_ SUMM_R CA_P

Jade chuckled as she got down. The book wasn't kidding when they said it was old.

She opened the gates and about 60 pairs of eyes turned to her.

Now This was VIP.

She arrived during the morning gathering at 11pm and right now every single camp member was staring at her.

She smirked.

Bright light summer camp, say hello to Jade Thompson.
