Chapter 23 - 23

All Might's POV

The boys have been acting suspiciously recently, running off and only briefly tackling me in a hug before yelling that they were going to go and train for the sports festival. What could they possibly be up to?

Last night I went to the dorms to check on them and their classmates ended up roping me to ask questions and it was getting late before I even knew it. I got all the way to their door and when I cracked it open I heard them talking on the other side.

"I mean how long am I supposed to sleep with an old married couple," Hitoshi chuckled and I heard the other two chuckle too, Izuku like he was embarrassed and Katsuki like he was put on the spot. Dear lord, how nervous the boy got when he heard that Hitoshi wasn't going to be with them anymore.

"If you change your mind just come on in, it's not like you have to quit right away or all at once or anything," Katsuki coughed, clearing his throat and I had to stifle a chuckle at how innocent he still was. Even in his twenties he really was terrible at saying what he meant.

"Right, right stop mothering me already. Brother," Hitoshi teased and now they were all laughing properly and I gently closed the door before taking a breath and knocking.

"Dad?" Izuku asked, his face immediately breaking into his big smile that could melt the hearts of puppies and kittens in a heartbeat.

"Good evening Izuku, are the others here too?" I asked as if I wasn't listening in on them just moments ago.

"Yeah of course, come on in Dad," Izuku's big smile stayed exactly where it was on his face as he pulled me into the room and the other boys looked up smiling at the sight of me. Times like this really make me happy, I must have done something right while raising them for them to be so happy. Right?

"I just wanted to see how you were all feeling about tomorrow?" I motioned to the open door, reminding them that anyone could hear us and they just smiled bigger.

"We are doing great Dad! Toshi and I already have plans but Kacchan-," Izuku pouted and I laughed out loud at his eagerness and Hitoshi and Katsuki chatted too, eager to hear my thoughts about their training methods.

"No but Deku almost broke his arm when he-," I flinched at Katsuki's words. Ever since we came back we have all been extra careful so that Izuku wouldn't break any of his bones. The amount of pain he had to have experienced during our first life wasn't anything any child should ever have to endure and he did. Multiple times over.

"Kacchan!" Izuku whined, making the rest of us laugh as he pouted.

"It's true!" Katsuki teased some more.

"Now, now, we all know Deku can't help but hurt himself," again I flinched. Even in this life he gets hurt far too often, just not nearly as severe. Hitoshi was smirking but kept talking anyway, "but it's better than Kacchan who can't go one day without freaking out about Deku getting hurt."

I let out an awkward chuckle, I can't say anything to that because it's true. Katsuki often gets hurt just because he is trying to prevent Izuku from getting hurt. It's really a never ending cycle with these two.

"What am I ever going to do with you two?" I asked myself, chuckling.

"Love us forever just like always, Uncle," Katsuki answered without missing a beat. I stayed for a little longer but soon enough it was time for bed and Hitoshi walked out with me and I ruffled his hair a little before he went into the room next door. It was time for lights out.

But now here I am in the morning and I am pacing back and forth in my office. I mean I have a job to do but the fact of the matter is that all three of my boys will end up fighting each other at some point and I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.

"Yagi, it's time for us to leave now," Nezu said, opening the door and I groaned thinking about what all was about to happen but followed anyway.

"What's wrong with you?" I looked up to see Aizawa eyeing me.

"I don't like the idea of my boys fighting each other. Sparing sure, in a controlled setting preferably with either my wife or I there. But this? I don't like it," I answered, still fidgeting while we walked. I will be riding in a different bus with the general studies students while Aizawa will be with my boys.

"Just if they stop talking to each other then be on your guard, that usually means there is a villain nearby, or if they start rough housing then-"

"Stop," Aizawa raised a hand to get my attention and cut me off. "They will be fine. I'm not the only hero that will be with them and the entire event is going to have pro heroes working as security. They will be fine," he tried to reassure me but there is one thing that he absolutely must know.

"Aizawa, if Hitoshi cries, pull over." He looked at me funny but I can't explain it well. "If Hitoshi cries for any reason at all, pull over and take cover."

"You make it sound like he is dangerous," he tried to wave me off but I didn't let him go.

"It's not Hitoshi you should be worried about," I grumbled but I let him go anyway. How exactly am I supposed to tell Aizawa that Izuku and Katsuki would decapitate a villain on 'accident' if they crossed the line? Just how? I mean I know Izuku has grown very protective over Hitoshi over the years and that they were both incredibly fond of him but… Even Katsuki would end them without thinking twice if they crossed his line. It would be so much easier to judge how safe they would be if their lines were the same but they're not. That would be too easy.

I take a few deep breaths and show a smile before getting onto the general studies bus, "Do not worry, for I Am Here!" I called out and the students cheered. I made rounds answering questions and signing autographs while their homeroom teacher drove us to the stadium, laughing at dumb dad jokes that I told them and some of them even laughed. But I know they weren't actually funny, they were just excited that I was the one telling them.
