Stepping on the wooden dock, the breeze of the night sea slammed Leo directly in the face, his nostrils taking in the fresh air compared to the world of The Incredibles.
'So this is the difference in air between modern and medieval eras.' Leo whispered under his breath, quickly noticing the disparity between the two.
"Leo? Are we in a ship?" Behind her, Helen got out of the golden portal and immediately, she felt the sea's fresh air mixed with the salty smell of the seawater.
"Yes. Look, I suggest you hide for a bit, I'll wake Elsa up and try my best to explain everything." With that said Helen thankfully didn't hesitate and found a good hiding spot behind three barrels.
Nodding his head at her, Leo slowly walked back towards the room where Elsa's position remained the same, her white skin glistening with sweat due to their activity was still there as if Leo never left the world in the first place.
'Time is truly a wonderful concept. I wonder when I will get a template that will allow me to control not only time but also several other aspects.'
"Elsa?" Softly touching her shoulders, Leo shook her slightly.
"Hmm~ Hmm?" Fortunately, it wasn't that hard waking her up, so in just a single whisper of her name, Elsa's eyes slowly fluttered open followed up by a yawn and stretch of her arms.
"Leo? Why did you wake me up? Are you going to teleport me back to my room now?" Shifting her body, Elsa faced Leo and wrapped her arms around his waist while still lying down on the bed.
"No. Not yet. But this is much more important. I have something to tell you." Leo fidgeted slightly and said, thankfully his fidgeting went unnoticed by the confused Elsa.
"More important? What is it?" Leo's words were enough to force her to fully awake and sit on the mattress in front of Leo.
"…I don't know how to break this down to you but I may have been with another woman aside from you." Leo closed his eyes, preparing for retaliation from Elsa.
"Are you talking about my sister Anna? Didn't we just agree that you'll wait for her 18th birthday before giving her a chance?"
"This isn't about your sister. It's a different woman, entirely different and you don't know he-" Lo did not even manage to finish his sentence when he was interrupted by a sharp and cold ice spike inching towards his eyes.
Looking back at Elsa, the warm and loving eyes that he saw earlier were no longer there. Instead, it was replaced by a cold and emotionless one.
"Who?" A single word was uttered, enough to make Leo almost shiver, literally since the entire room was coated in ice except for the two of them.
'Maybe I shouldn't have said it all in one go and break it down instead?' Whispering under his breath, Leo gulped his saliva hard when the pointy ice was gaining an inch for every second that passed.
"Who. Is. She?!" Elsa repeated with a much more cold than her ice in her tone.
"C-Calm down, Elsa. I'll introduce you to her but promise me you won't make things bloody. This was my fault, okay? But before all this, at least hear me out. It's time I tell you the truth…"
Holding her hands to keep her in place, Leo ignored the sharp tip of the ice spike trying to pierce through his cheeks, and started narrating his story.
***
"What's taking him so long?" Helen muttered to herself as she was getting tired from crouching behind the three barrels for way too long.
A few minutes later just as she complained, she finally heard footsteps coming up into the deck.
Peeking through the gap made between two barrels, what Helen saw almost took her breath away.
Walking side by side with Leo was the same person she saw in her dreams! In fact, the woman right now is more beautiful than the woman she dreamed of!
"So she's the first," Helen muttered to herself, squinting her eyes, and stared very long at Elsa's figure that exhibited coldness.
If Helen was a cat, she would definitely start purring and meowing as if registering Elsa as a threat.
"Helen, it's okay now."
Leo yelled, though he knew where Helen was hiding, he wanted Elsa to see Helen for herself by not exposing her as if she's some kind of criminal.
With that signal from Leo, Helen inhaled and exhaled a few times before separating the two barrels in front of her.
She quickly got the attention of the pretty woman and they both stared at each other's eyes.
They both remained still for a few minutes and when Leo felt like things were getting intense, he was about to lighten it up by speaking up when Helen finally initiated the conversation.
"I'm Helen, what's your name?"
"….I'm Queen Elsa of Arendelle." Raising her head in pride, Elsa also introduced hersler except hers had a few titles to brag about.
"I-I'm uh…" Helen was speechless, not knowing how to reply and at least try to match her words.
However, she's not a Queen, hence she has nothing to brag about except that she's a Superhero. Hold on a second. She can use that!
"Well, I'm a Superhero of Metroville City! I protect it from harm while some people with 'power' sit behind the sidelines." Crossing her arms, Helen raised her head as if she had already won against Elsa.
"Really? I might have forgotten to include that I was also a Hero of my very own Kingdom under the alias of Sentinel. I protect my own people, my own streets, and everything. Oh and also, it was thanks to me being a hero that I met the love of my life, right Leo?" As if to add more pain to Helen's already aching heart, Elsa's last words just made her almost lose control over her knees.
"Now now. How about we relax and calm down?" Leo tried to diffuse the situation as he interrupted the both of them.
However, he was met with two glares from the both of them, as if threatening him to not interfere with their business.
Raising his hand in surrender, Leo shook his head and decided to leave them be, finding a small crate to use as his chair and sitting while watching them glare at each other.
***
For the next few hours, the two women bantered against each other, throwing insults upon insults that Leo grows bored and almost falls asleep if it wasn't for him remembering that Elsa was supposed to be back in her room before daytime.
"Elsa. Elsa. Listen here. You need to go back now. You remember right? You can't get caught." Interrupting Elsa who seemed to be as if she was about to throw another insult to Helen.
"Go back? Go ba-…Oh no! It's almost morning! Kai usually wakes me up at this time! Leo! Take me ba-"
Fwoosh!
"-ck!…?" Before Elsa could even finish her sentence, she already found herself lying on the bed back in Arendelle with Leo nowhere to be found.
"Leo?" Elsa was about to search for Leo around the room when her door was suddenly knocked on.
Knock! x2
"Elsa! Come on, wake up! It's your first day as the new Queen!" Instead of Kai, it turns out to be her sister, Anna who was knocking at the door.
"Anna? Come in!" Sighing in relief that it was not Kai who was usually observant and attentive to little details that he might notice she did not sleep in the room.
Thud!
"Let's go, Elsa. Mom and Dad are wai- wait a minute, did you not get a wink? You don't look like someone who just woke up."
"I…It's a long story…" Elsa was about to tell her a lie however, seeing the look on her face made her think otherwise. She doesn't like lying to her sister as it reminds her of the countless years she lied to her just to keep her powers from harming her again.
"Oohh~ I like stories, especially the spooky ones. So what's the story? Let me guess, it has something to do with Leo."
"You…You're right."
"Hah! Knew it! So what is it?" Anna slapped her knees in victory.
"Sigh…If somehow you found out that Leo was with another woman who also loves him. What's your reaction?"
"What!? You two just got together and he cheated on you!? That guy is dead!" Pulling the sleeves of her shirt, Anna was prepared for battle when Elsa pulled her back.
"It's not what you think it is. Leo just told me the truth about him and it's so complicated. I just want to know what you will do in that situation."
"Hmm….If this woman really loves Leo, then why not? It's not like it's uncommon for men to have other wives right? And besides, since this woman loves Leo and Leo loves her, I say, I'll go and get to know her. Listen to her story and how she and Leo met. It's all about staying positive. Him having another woman is not the end of the world. He must've had his reasons." Anna placed her finger under her chin and took a few seconds to come up with a good answer that made Elsa think about her encounter with Helen earlier.
"Get to know her better," Elsa whispered under her breath as her next action was finally decided thanks to her sister.
