After eating Leo's cook, Leo and Elsa roamed the streets for a few hours while at the same time, getting to know each other more.
Laughing, joking, and sharing their own stories to the point that Leo decided to reveal a bit of his past.
"You know. Before I became...'This', I was....someone who is against the law. I'm not outright a criminal but almost a borderline one." Leo then watched Elsa's face, wanting to know what her reaction will be upon the revelation.
Instead of seeing what he expected as disgust or disappointment, Elsa just looked at him normally like someone who wants to get the end of the story.
"And?"
"....I'm what you call, a scam artist, though I preferred to be called Pretender, it's kind of an illegal job of tricking people of their money. Using words by gaining their trust and then later, break that trust and steal their money in the process." Leo continued, starting by introducing what he really does.
"That's....an interesting job. I wouldn't call it illegal though. It felt more like it was their fault for being tricked." Elsa shrugged her shoulders while Leo just stared at her in disbelief.
'Jesus, Elsa you're soon to be the Queen of Arendelle! Do you hear yourself right now? Justifying evil?' Mentally, Leo was twitching while on the outside, he maintained a poker face, showing no emotions.
"...It's....Illegal, no need to justify it just because of me." Quickly exposing her in no time, Elsa blushed and bowed her head down.
Leo was right, Elsa only justified it because of Leo. In fact, in her mind, being a scam artist does indeed sound illegal.
"Anyways. I'm a changed person now. I'm no longer a scam artist. Though it's because I got myself killed because of it." Leo resumed, though he muttered the last sentence under his breath, not letting Elsa hear that he just died because of this job.
"That sounds good to hear. But I remember you telling me you're still some kind of Pretender, right?" Elsa asked, remembering their conversation last night.
"I'm a different kind of Pretender now. I'm sure you know about the stuff I do at night right?" Leo replied.
"Oh right, your Daredevil hero thing. I'm surprised you're wearing your hero suit in daylight while being in public. Aren't you afraid people will figure out your real identity?" Elsa asked out of concern, worrying about the consequences of Leo being in his Daredevil sit while in the open.
"Let them come. It's not like I was afraid of having my identity revealed. What can they do to me? And besides, I have a specific goal, once I achieve that goal, this world won't see Daredevil anymore." Leo answered with a shrug of his shoulders, showing no care about the issue that Elsa brought up.
"Wait. What do you mean by that? You're quitting?" Elsa's face bore a shocked expression as her eyes became glued on Leo's face.
"Not totally quitting. Like I said, Daredevil will disappear only after I complete my goal."
"And that goal is?" Elsa inched closer towards Leo and asked.
"Taking down the Kingpin or you might refer to him as Wilson Fisk." Dropping the bomb, Elsa stopped in her tracks and looked at Leo confusedly.
"Wilson Fisk. Isn't he that fat merchant that claims that he pioneered today's technology? Why do you want to take him down." Hearing the question, Leo looked around and after seeing a bench in a nearby park, Leo shifted his attention back to Elsa.
"It's...a long story. How about we take a seat and I'll tell you everything about Kingpin." After speaking, Leo gestured towards the empty bench.
"Sure..."
***
"I can't believe he's that kind of person! He's pure evil!" Crossing her arms angrily, Elsa, who just recently got informed and had her eyes opened to the truth of this world, stomped her foot on the ground.
'....I don't know what to feel in destroying my other identity's image just for closure.' Leo whispered under his breath.
"That's why I vowed to take him down and vanquish the true evil in this world but it might take some time and the possibility of failure is high. After all, everyone sees him as a saint and famous inventor, it's not easy to tear up his empire." Leo leaned on the bench and said while looking up in the sky, seeming to have fallen to deep thought.
"That....that would be easy. Don't underestimate Arendelle, almost the entire world knows about us and as long as I play our cards right, we might turn that saint-like image into a devil one." Elsa confidently said, even smirking at Leo in the process.
"Are you saying....you'll help me in this goal?" Leo raised an eyebrow, to be honest he wasn't expecting any help from Elsa, after all, he's intending to manipulate things from behind the scenes where the result will be Kingpin's downfall and Daredevil's disappearance from the world.
However with Elsa joining him in this 'conquest', some things will have to be changed.
"Of course! Taking down Kingpin also falls under my hands as the Sentinel! Defeating him also means protecting the safety of Arendelle."
'Wow. Her heroism is almost blinding me.' Leo rubbed his eyes.
"Are you sure though? It is very dangerous. It might even cost you your life. Do you still want to help?" Leo decided to test her first.
"Yes." Much to his surprise, Elsa answered him without hesitation.
"Then you'll need training. Kingpin might be a normal human but he's more cunning and vicious than you think. I think I already know a perfect place and time to train you."
"How?" Elsa tilted her head in confusion, having an urge to know how Leo will help her train.
"This night we'll venture in the streets as Daredevil and Sentinel together. This time, instead of dealing with average thugs, we'll target the big ones. Outside Arendelle, there's a nearby bandits camp, numbering around 50 to 70, I just recently received this information from a contact of mine. This is a good opportunity to help you transcend your limits!"
***
Once the sun is down and the moon reaches its peak, two shadowy figures blurred through the streets of Arendelle, heading towards the large gates that lead outside.
The large gate, despite being closed, proved no hurdle to the two shadowy figures and they easily slipped through without any knight guards knowing.
Once outside, the other one took the lead and started running faster than the last one.
"Let's go, it's not that far from here." Leo said while looking back.
Elsa was already sweating heavily while trying to chase after him.
"Come on, Elsa. This is just the first part of the training. If you can't even handle something as easy as this, how will you handle the rest?" Leo shouted, trying to motivate the ice princess.
"I'm huff.... not huff...physically fit like you! I don't huff...partake too much in physical activities!" Despite ragged breaths, Elsa tried her best to complete her sentences.
"Bummer." Then much to Elsa's exhaustion, Leo's speed gained more momentum to the point that if Elsa didn't up her speed, she would lose him.
"Oh come on!"
***
"Took you long enough." Leaning against the tree, Leo was staring at the fully exhausted Elsa, laying down on the ground with a tired but satisfied gleam on her eyes.
"That.....is the most.....exhausting thing I've ever done." Elsa remarked.
"You're welcome. Let's put that aside, we're finally here at the bandit's camp." Hearing the word 'bandit's camp' Elsa became invigorated and she stood up as if she wasn't exhausted a few seconds earlier.
"So, what's the plan?" Elsa asked.
"Look there first." Technically, they were standing on a small cliff, down onwards was a small camp with a few large tents and around 3 campfires spread around.
"That's the bandit camp? So large." Elsa drew a sharp breath out of surprise.
In fact, she's no wrong as if the tents on the ground were buildings instead, Leo might mistake them for a small village without how large it is.
"And Arendelle allows these bandits to stay here? How can they even live here?" Elsa asked no one, which Leo took to answer.
"Well, if we're talking about bandits. What they do to live is to harass nearby villages or some merchants passing by. Asking for a ransom in exchange for being allowed to pass." After explaining, Elsa quickly spoke.
"Let's take them down!" Her eyes suddenly glowed in determination.
'Wow that was fast.'
***
"Scarface, what do you think about that princess's coronation? During that day, more merchants and people from all kingdoms will visit Arendelle, isn't that a good chance to rob as much as we can?" Inside the bandit's encampment, a few bandits were awake, serving their purpose as onlookers.
"I don't care. Though I do wish to see that princess for myself and if possible, have a good time with her. Too bad she's surrounded by those stupid knights as a princess." The other bandit, known as Scarface replied while licking his dried lips with lust.
"Sorry to burst your bubble but perhaps you can do that in your next life." Hearing an unknown voice a few distance away from them, all of the bandits cranked their heads towards the source and only saw a wave of ice hurling towards them.
On the other side of the encampment, a few bandits patrolling were taken down in a single second when a dark blur passed by them.
The rest of the bandits who were sound asleep, remained oblivious to this happening.
Tonight, a deadly duo of heroes set their eyes upon them!
