"You may not always have only one life to start afresh. When something gets too hard and for the life in you don't see the light nor an answer before you? You can always choose to run away and it won't be because you are a coward" - Gina.
Her heart was pounding, her breath hitched and heavy, head a mess, body wounded with pain coming from everywhere but, she couldn't stop.
She actually didn't have an ounce of an idea on where to go to from there with nothing but her notebook and pen in her hand running as her life depends on it. Hoping to God or whoever's was in charge that day to show her the way out safely from the woods.
And with every desperate prayer there's always that miraculous answer that hits you out of nowhere.
"Fuck!" Cried out a boy before he got up to reach out for her fallen frail body after she bumped into him as she was running, "Are you okay?"
"Where am I?" Asked the girl desperately looking back to the rows and rows of trees behind her.
"Are you feeling dizzy? How many fingers am I holding right now?" Asked the body concerned as he put three fingers up and went to steady her but, with how she flinched and took the pen in an intention of stabbing the boy showed him the boundary line, "Stay where you are!"
"Okay! I'm sorry... And you are at Dream Art college I guess" Said the boy with a shrug but he couldn't shake the worry and pity.
"Babe? There you are!" Came a cheerful voice from behind the boy before she saw small fragile hands circling his torso. He was somebody's girlfriend so no using his pity for shelter that was clear to her.
"Yeah, everything settled in there?" Asked the boy with a boyish smile as he turned to look at her girlfriend's shy face. They were making her mentally gagging. Love? Eew.
"Like ten minutes eternity ago"
"Ready to go home?" Asked the boy who apparently forgot that there was even a person behind them till his girl nodded and noticed her.
"Who's she?" Asked the girl alarmed.
"I don't know, we have just met" Said the boy with an helpless sigh turning from his girl to the stranger.
"Are you okay, girl?" Asked the girl getting out of her boyfriend's sanctuary to walk to her with worry in her face. It was like the sight of her frightened her in a good way. If it made sense to you.
When the girlfriend got no reaction from the stranger she seemed to understand the situation so, without breaking their eye contact he called out for her boyfriend, "Leo?"
"Yeah, got it!" Said the boy in mock surrender.
"I'm really sorry honey but, I can't leave her like this. Girl energy and everything" Explained the girlfriend looking at her boyfriend with a small apologetic smile.
"I got you... Anything that you might need before I go?" Inquired the boy looking from her to the stranger.
"Not really"
"Laters babe"
"Yes"
"He's hopeless for you" Came the stranger's croacked voice and till then she didn't know she was that thirsty and tired.
"So, she can talk" Teased the girlfriend as she guided for her to follow behind her through the building halls, "What's your name stranger"
"Gina! I mean Regina but, I prefer to be called Gina" Replied the stranger with what she hoped was a warm smile.
"Well, I'm Maria but, friends calls me Raya" Said the girl with an amused expression.
"That your boyfriend?" Asked Gina curiously,
"Don't tell me you've got a crush on him?"
"Like a massive one!"
"Creepy but, I get it... He's just perfect, you know?" Said the girl after opening the house door and welcomed her in. She didn't know why she was so open and comfortable with that wounded perfect stranger but, she liked the feeling, "So, what's your story?"
"Can't I restart my story?"
"You are in Dream art college now, show us who you are" Said Raya with an excited tone.
