When she heard the old man's words she remembered the mystery of her mother's death which put her father in a deep depression until Anastasia appeared and charmed the broken man.
This annoyed Artemis but when her Grandfathers next words shocked her, ''Your mother was killed by the enemy your lover is going up against, you will need the power of the Titans to be able to stand against them.''
