The young girl hissed in pain as the heavy leather boot planted itself in her stomach, sending her rolling down the alley. Ignoring the heckles from the small group of hoodlums as they watched her slowly rise to her feet, the girl attempted her best glare.
"This wasn't part of the deal," She snarled, "I knew you were an idiot, I just didn't take you for a cheat!"
The plump man and his lackeys stopped laughing, but their faces remained in a perpetual state of cruel giddiness. In fact, it was reminiscent to a flock of vultures waiting patiently for the wildebeest to die so they could ravage it. Except, of course, she just a poor girl dressed in rags and certainly no powerful animal.
"Stupid?" Heckled the plump man, "But I managed to fool you, did I not little piper?"
