At the very crack of dawn, Paris yanked up full of life. Two things will go down today: a pre-wedding photo shoot and her parents' sanity.
She took off her nightgown and slid into her bathrobe before walking into the bathroom. A gentle, warm shower to start such a day.
She walked out 30 minutes later to get dressed. A comfortable green tee shirt and matching shorts and her fluffy black slides—the perfect combination. Carefully combing out her hair, the millions of plans she had for the day unfolded in her head. She got up, applied her perfumes, wore her jewelry, grabbed her phone, and dashed out of her room.
"Up so early. What's going on?" Aurora asked immediately, and Paris walked into the living room. Aurora and Orion sat there, having their morning tea—a sight Paris hasn't seen in a while.
"Yes, I have a pre-wedding photo shoot today, so I have to get ready." Paris said, standing in the living room.
"That's the spirit, Paris." Orion laughed in his deepest tone.
"Oh, and there's a dinner party tonight, okay? Proudly sponsored by me."
"A dinner party?" Aurora queried, squinting her eyes.
"After the shoot, you know, with the Leonards, don't run late." She kissed, walking into the kitchen.
"Alright, you guys! Gather round!!" She shouted the second she shut the kitchen door, assembling all the maids. "I have a dinner party today, okay? So I need everyone to listen carefully! No messing up! I need the meals to be as peppery as hell and the drinks as cold as possible, understand?"
"Peppery? But ma-"
"I don't want to hear it! Do as I've said, understand?" She shouted again, hitting her fist against the kitchen counter.
With that, she stormed out, slamming the kitchen door behind her.
She walked across the living room to the door, attempting to leave.
"Wait, wait, wait! Where are we off to?" Aurora called, waving down Paris.
"I want to go shopping," Paris replied, dragging each word until her lie was complete.
"Shopping? For the shoot?" Orion asked.
"Yes," Paris replied sharply.
"Oh sure. You need company." Aurora asked, sipping tea.
"No, no, I'm good." She smiled before shutting the door behind her.
"Love you!" Aurora shouted seconds after Paris left.
Rushing into her car, she started the engine and zoomed off, making sure no one was following her to Stephan's apartment. If not for anything, for the sake of humanity, he deserves an apology.
Halfway there, she felt dizzy and tired, unable to concentrate on the road. The AC's air changed—seconds later, Paris fell asleep on the steering wheel.
*THREE HOURS LATER*
"Mrs Aurora,"
"Hello? Paris?"
"I am Doctor Duke."
"Where is my daughter?"
"Your daughter, Paris, has been involved in a ghastly accident."
