[Mission Completed]
Rush to Grammo's aid
[Reward]
10 Yi Power
When Patty regained consciousness after the system took control of his body, the first thing he felt was the wind blowing on his face. That was weird. Then, he heard a little bit of shouting from behind him.
'What are you doing?!'
'Hey be careful!'
That was the second weird thing. That should have tipped him off that something bad was happening to him. And it all finally made sense when he finally opened his eyes: he was only an inch away from crashing into the wall.
He didn't have any warning, he didn't have anything to hold onto, and he could do nothing to stop the speed at which he was rocketing towards the glass. Heck, he didn't even have any time to brace himself as he slammed head-first into the glass.
TKKSSHHHHH
The glass shattered easily into a million pieces as soon as it made contact with Patty's head. Being 40 times tougher than a normal human's skull, Patty wasn't hurt at all by this. In fact, he barely even felt anything at all. But that's not where the problem lies. The problem was that he was stupid enough to trust that the system would take care of his body.
"AHHH!"
If the system was careful about his body, then he wouldn't be crashing through the window glass and falling through the second floor of the building with no warning at all.
This was the first time Patty felt like he was weightless. His heart must have leapt to his throat. And seeing the ground come closer to him was not an easy thing to experience since he was not used to his body moving at all.
But instead of worrying about his body, Patty was more worried about the rolling chair he was sitting on. After all, if he landed on the floor sitting on this old-flimsy rolling chair, then it would surely be broken into two pieces. If that happened, then how would he travel the school from that point on? Through walking? Heck no. Patty got used to sitting in his rolling chair and just breezing through the hallways with little to no effort.
So, using the time slow ability from his minion, Patty quickly grabbed the seat and used both hands to pull the rolling chair up above his head. Since he only fell from the second floor, he only had a small window of time to maneuver the chair before he fell on the ground. Thankfully, with his time slow, he made it just in time.
DUGSHH
Patty landed feet first into the ground, sending cracks on the dry soil. Even though he just jumped at least 25 feet from above, Patty didn't feel any pain. It didn't even feel like he jumped at all, it only felt the same as if he was taking a step forward. Instead of breaking his feet like a normal person he only felt like he was normally walking. His 40 strength on his legs were finally showing its worth.
"Patrick. I can't believe you made it here," Griff grimaced when he saw Patty crashing through the window and landing perfectly on his feet without any pain. Just as he expected, Patty was stronger than what he made others believe.
There was no other way to reach this place other than circumventing the wall of the school and jumping through the wall. That was how Patty should have found it. Even if he knew the location, he should have spent hours trying to find a way to reach it. He didn't know that Patty would be crazy enough to crash through the glass and jump through the second floor.
"Hehe, I've been waiting for you, Patty!" Jack licked his lips.
"It's time to teach you a lesson." Buck said excitedly.
Ryan didn't even say anything and quickly rushed towards Patty. He wanted to have first crack at Patty and test his newfound strength. But of course, he won't be using his Teqx powers for now. That would be beneath him. He was confident that he could beat up Patty just using his enhanced physical strength. If he used his powers, Patty would be dead within a second; and if anyone was going to kill Patty, it would be Griff.
But instead of looking concerned that a superhuman was gunning for him, Patty simply took the rolling chair from above his head and put it back down for him to take a seat. He didn't even give Ryan the dignity of looking at him.
Just as Patty took a seat in his rolling chair, Ryan's punch barely grazed the top of Patty's head.
It was such a comical scene that Ryan and the rest of Griff's lackeys were left speechless. How could Patty be so lucky that he dodged Ryan's punch at the very last second? It looked like he didn't even see the punch coming! Was he some sort of idiot savant?
And the worst part was that Ryan fully expected his punch to connect. He didn't hold back any of his strength, so when it landed on air, his balance quickly deteriorated until he felt the world turn to its side. When he finally understood what happened, it was already too late. This was the ultimate shame for someone like Ryan.
Griff was silent when he saw Patty dodge that punch. His eyes quickly discerned what really happened. But instead of warning his friends, he simply stayed silent and continued to watch how Patty made quick work of his lackeys. It was important to remember that these guys were not simple humans with martial arts experience, they were already Teqx users whose basic physical strength was enhanced from merging with a Teqx. Their strength was already superhuman, along with their speed and senses.
In all accounts, that punch should have landed. Ryan should have seen the adjustment from Patty's head and quickly changed the trajectory of his punch. If he didn't see it, then there could only be one reason why: Patty's movement was faster than Ryan's superhuman senses.
The fact that Patty did all that without even looking at Ryan held terrifying consequences. Unfortunately, Ryan and the rest of his lackeys didn't have the experience to know that they were completely outclassed in every way possible.
Buck was next to try and put Patty back in his place. Just like Ryan, he ran towards Patty as fast as possible. His run-up allowed him to reach his fastest speed as he finally landed in front of Patty. With skillful maneuvering, he raised his leg and transferred all of his speed and strength into an explosive overhead kick.
But just as it was about to land on Patty's head, Buck quickly changed directions and appeared behind Patty's rolling chair. He learned from Ryan's mistake and made sure that Patty wouldn't be able to 'luck' his way out of this one. He positioned his kick in the middle of Patty's torso to make sure he can't duck and avoid this attack.
And just as it was about to land, Patty suddenly spoke up.
"Grammo, are you sleeping?!" Patty, at the very last second, used his legs to propel himself forward.
But he wouldn't completely avoid Buck's taekwondo kick. The kick landed on the backside of Patty's rolling chair and fortunately, it didn't do the damage that Buck wanted. In fact, it did the exact opposite. The kick landed in such a perfect way that instead of hitting Patty and hurting him, it instead hit the chair and propelled him forward at high speeds.
Buck couldn't believe what just happened. Patty was somehow able to become the luckiest person again twice in a row. How did he just use Buck's kick and used it as a jumping pad to roll away to safety. Not only that, Buck also used all of his strength on his kick. He only received his powers earlier today, so he wasn't that didn't have complete control over it yet.
With nothing to hit, Buck swirled around like a ballerina until he fell on the ground. The only thing he got from that was nausea and a headache.
The only one left was Jack. Unlike the two of them whose specialty lay on their martial arts prowess, he was the only one who was confident in his fast legs. Briefly, he was also on the varsity team of track and field where he competed against really fast sprinters. And now with enhanced strength from the Power Teqx, Jack was confident in his speed.
He couldn't let Patty reach Grammo just like that. He bent down into a runner's starting position and gathered all the strength in his body into his legs. Then, he burst forth into a sprint to chase after Patty in his rolling chair.
Within just a second, Jack finally caught up with Patty. He reached out his hand to try and catch the headrest of the rolling chair. He could touch it. He just needed to catch up a little more to finally grab hold onto Patty and finally teach him a lesson.
But just as when he was about to grasp onto the chair, Patty suddenly used his legs and casually used it to speed up his rolling chair. Jack's eyes widened as he saw the gap between them grow further and further until he couldn't even touch it anymore. He was so surprised that he lost control of his legs and he tumbled on the ground shamefully.
With just a casual leg sweep, Patty somehow sped himself up even faster than Jack's fastest speed.
Patty stopped when he finally reached Grammo. He looked fine, aside from some dirt and cuts on his clothes. Griff and his lackeys didn't go too far in beating him up. Thankfully, Grammo was still breathing.
Grammo raised his head and looked at Patty. His eyes were red and his cheeks were moist. He must have been crying all this time.
He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. His face contorted and stressed as he tried to muster up all the strength to make a sound.
"aa…."
What came out of Grammo's mouth was a low, grating voice. It was rough and raspy, like sandpaper going through stone. Hoarse wasn't the right word. No, this was something beyond that. It was unlike anything Patty ever heard of. Grammo could barely even speak out a single sentence.
"I…"
"I…c.."
A single tear drop fell from Grammo's eye.
"I…can't…sing…"
