"I remember how you complained you didn't want him, now you are free to be with me." Bluce muttered his eyes flashing with a glint of possessiveness in them.
He had always loved Maria, right from high school till this present moment. He had waited for her all these years, when he thought he had lost her, the universe and fate were working in his favor she didn't get married.
The universe was giving him a second chance that could not be wasted and he was not going to let it go to waste. Standing up, Bluce went on his knees holding onto Maria's hands.
Maria gulped in fear, she shouldn't have come here. Bluce was behaving like a crazy man, she tried to pull her hand away but his grip was not only tight, it was also firm and he didn't let go.
"Let go of me Bluce, you are scaring me" Maria muttered her lips shivering from fear, tears formed in her eyes.
Bluce sighed, "I love you so much Maria, I am willing to do anything and everything for you. Just tell me you love me and I am willing to do anything just to make you happy."
"Please Maria, please don't leave me. I will get rich soon and then we can live together." Bluce pleaded sinking his face into her hands.
Maria felt multiple shivers run up her body, it was a red sign. Even if she tried to make him understand he wouldn't listen, she had to find a way to make him keep calm and get away from safely.
"Fine, fine. Calm down Bluce, now that I am single I can introduce you to my parents and if they like you then we can get engaged and later get married. You just need to meet them first." Maria coaxed in a soft tone but her heart was beating like there was a race competition going on.
Bluce raised his head at her words, his dim eyes sparkled like stars when he heard her words. Excitement was visible in his eyes, he was excited like a little child would be.
"Really? I can go see your parents?"
"Yes of course, they will be going on a trip soon though, but once they are back I can take you to go see them." Maria remarked with a smile on her lips.
Bluce nodded his head in happiness but the next moment he frowned, "Are you saying this because you are scared I won't let you leave from here?"
Maria stifled a smile, "Of course not, you have done so much for me. It's better to have a supportive partner who will love and care for me, I can't say I love you now but gradually we will build up the feelings and I'm sure I will learn to love you."
Bluce nodded his head, he was convinced. She was right, he knew she wouldn't forsake him if he kept helping her.
"That's great, I will start preparing to meet your parents. You should go home now, we can't let them find out you stayed out late. I will take you back." Bluce remarked standing up on his feet.
He let go of Maria's and picked up his jacket and wore them. He gestured towards the door for Maria to go on. Maria smiled, she picked up her purse and cellphone and walked out of the door.
They left from the club with Bluce giving her a lift in his car, soon they arrived at Maria's house. Maria got out of the car.
"Thank you for giving me a lift, goodnight." Maria remarked with a smile.
"You are always welcome babe, goodnight, have good dreams. Love ya." Bluce replied before driving out of there.
When he finally left, Maria released the breath she had been holding in for long. The smile fell from her lips and a frown settled on her face, "What a motherfucker!"
"What does he think about me? He thinks he can get me so easily because he did little favors for me? What a joker he is." Maria muttered gritting her teeth.
"You want to marry me so much don't you? Well then let's go get married in the realm of the ghosts." Maria cursed trying to come up with a plan in her head.
Absentmindedly Maria walked into the house through the main door forgetting she jumped out the window. When Maria walked in, her mother spotted her from the couch. Her eyes widened in shock.
She quickly turned to look at her husband and he was sleeping. She released a sigh of relief and stood up on her feet, gently walking towards Maria.
Maria frowned when she heard footsteps, her eyes fell upon her mother walking towards her and then her father, her eyes contracted in fear.
Before Maria could react, her mother pulled her arm and dragged her out of the living room. "Mommmmmmmmmmm"
"Shut up! Where did you run off to Maria? It's 11pm for God's sake! Your dad will cut your head off if he finds out about this!" Maria's mom scolded harshly letting go of Maria's hand.
"Mom! I went out for a walk. What's so bad going out for exercise or clearing my mind? Should 1 die of suffocation in this house?" Maria questioned pissed off at her mother's attitude.
Maria's mom gave her the mocking eyes look, "Who goes out for a walk dressed in a club clothing? Or goes out for a walk and comes back reeking of alcohol?"
"Do you think I am dumb?" Does it look like I am dumb?" .
Maria cleared her throat awkwardly at her mother's words, she was embarrassed for being caught at lying, she didn't want to apologize but she had been caught already.
"Mom see there's no more news about me out there, I can go out freely too. Also, someone did me a favour. I had to repay him."
"You always say to repay the favour of others, so we can get more next time without asking." Maria remarked smiling sheepishly.
"You are a smart girl, I will forgive you for not including me in your plan this time. Next time let me know of your plans."
"I will mom. I want to sleep now, good night mom." Maria remarked placing a peck on her mother's lips before leaving from there.
Watching her daughter leave from there, Maria's mother shook her head in worry. She didn't want her child making any mistake that would put her at stake, it lied with her now to protect her child at all means.
