I was falling,
That I knew, I watched as her figure grew smaller and smaller till it was covered in darkness but I had not yet hit the ground.
This had to be the most fucked up dream I have ever had cause what the actual fuck?
Yet it felt like I wasn't dreaming, the air filling my ears as I fell to what had to be my death felt real… a little too real.
And then I felt it again, the same familiar feeling I had when I had heard the impatient jiggling of my room door.
It felt like a sixth sense, I knew something bad was going to happen, the sense of dread was too strong. I reached my hands out hoping to grasp anything I could use to save myself from my early death.
Oh for gods sake
I was only nineteen, I refuse to be a human pancake on the side of the road.
Not today… actually not ever.
I whip my head around and find that I am in fact still falling in a dark abyss that seemed like it would go on forever and there was in fact nothing I could do to stop myself from falling.
But that was when I noticed it, it was still, but it was glistening, like someone had poured water on an all black ground, but before I could register the possibility of me actually living if I fell into the out of nowhere pond, I feel my body falling faster as if it was being dragged into the body of water, like i was being pulled in before i eventually hit the body of water. A stinging sensation rushing through my body as I sink further into the water, eyes closed.
It was everywhere, the water, this wasn't a dream…
"…I can't save you if you die here one more time"
my eyes snap open with the sudden realization that this was all real, I was actually going to drown if i didn't save myself.
Shit
I could feel myself panicking, my arms wiggling around the water in a bid to get me to the surface, but I swear it felt like I was being drawn back down into it….
Into my death.
No…. I refuse to die like this, looking up into the surface I see the rays of what had to be the sun. Wasting no time I swim to faster, hoping to get to the surface before I'm left with no oxygen.
I pushed forward, it drew me back,
I let out a frustrated yell watching the air bubbles float their way into the surface.
Fuck this….. fuck fuck fuck
I wouldn't make it to the surface this way.
Looking around me, I'm met with obvious darkness, there was nothing, this was my fight,
Looking back at the surface, I close my eyes and send a silent prayer to the gods, praying they let me see another day.
Opening my eyes I begin to swim again, this time a little lighter, i swam faster, my lungs burning from the lack of oxygen.
And the more I swam, the more I saw it…. The surface …..
The sun…..
My life…..
Third person's pov
They watched her like she was prey, heart in hand as murmurs of prayers left the lips of the room occupants.
She had to make it, she just had to…. They couldn't loose another. They needed men for the war that was to come.
He watched as his sister's face stayed contoured with worry and her lips seemed to never stop moving, her prayers flitting through his ears louder than everyone else's.
He knew informing her of the new potential recruit's situation was a bad idea, she was too soft.. too innocent.
Now if the woman on the bed died his sister would be haunted for days… he hated that.
Then he cast the pale woman on the bed a glance, at first he thought she was a lost cause, but as her injuries began to heal themselves, he felt, for the first time in his life; shocked. He had never seen anything like it, she healed faster than any other level he had seen.
Of course her injuries were too critical, she had been in a coma for seven days now. And he unfortunately was stuck monitoring her, watching her progress…watching her.
He couldn't deny she was quite beautiful , and he wondered what she had done to get such a brutal execution from THE CIRCLE.
By day four her wounds were all healed up,organs and everything else in place and intact, and healthy. But she still hadn't woken up.
Then the doctor broke it to them, she was in a trial coma, meaning that yes she was fine physically, but mentally and everywhere else, she was reliving the day of her death over and over again, it was a medical grace granted by the gods to fight for your chance to be alive, and each time she relived it… she died, and this did nothing good for her physical form.
And that was when the idea came to send his cousin into her head to try and warn her and save her… his cousin had gone in four time and this was the last chance they had. If she didn't save herself… there was nothing they could do to help her.
Apparently she may have just been an innocent level who had barely come to.
She was apparently 'ignorant' of her power. And the reason why she was stuck in a trial coma was because she hadn't grown into her power yet, and the gods seemed it fit to give her a chance to another life.
He called bullshit, he believed that she was just another agent from the circle sent to mess with them.
The way she healed her self while nearly dead, that had to be some level 1 type of shit. And there was no way a mere ignorant, not sure of herself level could do that.
He didn't like the thought of her being around and he didn't hide it as he glared at her pale figure lying in bed.
And that's when he noticed it, his glare dropping from his face, the constant irregular rise and fall of her chest, she was either dying or coming back to life.
And just as his eyes found her closed ones, they snapped open and she coughed up water, taking a long gasp of air as if she was drowning.
Well fuck…
She was alive after all.
