Chapter 2 - System, Mother

Ah, come on, you can't be serious.

I can't believe I've fallen into such a cliché.

Still, I need to keep up in order to survive.

"What's your function, system?" I asked.

[!DING YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS A STUDENT OF THE NOBLE DRAGONS, DESCENDANTS OF PRIMORDIAL VOID, HOST.]

Ah, I must have been cursed; how am I going to grow faster?

Anyway, I should spend this time getting to know my family. I haven't even seen my father yet.

*DOOR OPENS*

"Hello, young master, I've come to take you to your mother," said a sweet maid.

Why is she trying to talk to me? Doesn't she know that a baby like me won't understand what she says, or is she crazy?

The maid approached, allowing me to see her more clearly.

Brown hair and eyes the same color as her hair, a sweet curved woman.

She smiled like a little child, and her smile made her look even sweeter.

When I looked more closely, I noticed two small purple horns coming out from the corners of her forehead.

I guess I'll be seeing more of her in the future.

She walked very fast, but even after a 5-minute walk, we still couldn't reach my mother's room.

She walks fast, but she still can't get to my mother's room after a 5-minute walk.

Seriously, how big is this place?

The corridors are at least 50 meters high.

After walking for another 5 minutes, we finally reached the door of my mother's room.

"May I come in, madam?" the maid asked.

"Of course, Laura, I was expecting you," my mother said.

As we entered, my mother didn't look like a woman who had just given birth.

She was examining the papers on the table in her huge room.

Describing my mother's beauty might take more than a few words, but I'll try to give you an idea.

Now, I noticed the two noble horns coming out of her head, snow-white hair as precious as silk, eyes brighter than the sky, a face that seemed to have makeup on even though there was none, porcelain-like skin, and body measurements that could be considered perfect for almost anyone.

I'm not saying this because she's my mother, but I don't know a single man who wouldn't fall in love with her.

My god, my mother is like a goddess.

W-Wait a minute, why am I calling her my mother? How did I accept this so quickly? I've only met her once.

[!DING SYSTEM ACTIVATED.]

[!DING THE REASON FOR THIS IS THE MERGING OF YOUR SOUL WITH THE SOUL OF YOUR ANCESTOR AND THE TRANSFER OF MOTHERLY LOVE TO YOU. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, HOST.]

[!DING SYSTEM OFF.]

How does the troubled system just answer one thing and leave?

Don't you need to give me cheats?

Forget it, at least it answers some things and doesn't say you're not strong enough to learn this.

"My dear son, even though he's a baby, he's so sweet," said my mother.

"Give me Aldrich, Laura," my mother said to the maid.

"Of course, madam," Laura said.

"My handsome son, you really kept me waiting for a long time," my mother said with great affection.

She took me from Laura's arms and hugged me.

It was evident that I was bigger than a normal baby, almost the size of a 1-year-old baby.

I also had small horns starting to grow on my head.

"Aldrich, let's start with you, we are Dragons," my mother said.

I was expecting something like this, but learning that I was a dragon surprised me.

"We are not just any dragons, Aldrich, we come from the lineage of the primordial void dragon," my mother said.

I didn't pay much attention to what a primordial void dragon was, so I didn't dwell on it too much and continued to listen to my mother.

"We are different from other races, Aldrich. Even among dragons, no one can insult us or demean us," my mother said, with authority in her voice.

"Humans gain energy at 13, elves at 10, demons at 7, and dragons at the earliest at 4. But we, primordial void dragons, gain energy access at the age of 1," my mother said.

This explanation introduced me to the other races in the world, and hearing about these races made me associate this world more with cliché novels in my mind.

"You will go through the same awakening, my son, and we will use many elixirs to strengthen you until then, so that you may have a better awakening," my mother said.

"Now let's start with the milk from my mother, a young primordial void dragon," my mother said.

After saying this, a huge milk bucket appeared in her hand.

She put the bucket on the ground and then pulled out a slightly larger bottle and poured the milk into it.

"This bucket is your milk for the week, sweetheart," my mother said.

I didn't know why she was telling me all this, but I had seen it in many stories and novels.

A mother tells her child about the world, about their future life, about what she will give them, and prepares the main character for the world.

I might have fallen into a cliché story, but I have to try hard not to let this story become cliché. I can't live my life like those cliché stories.

"Come on, Al," she said, putting the bottle to my mouth.

"Mhmm," I made a slight noise.

This milk is really delicious, my god, how can it be so delicious?

I'm saying this as someone who hates milk.

Believe me, this milk is really delicious.

"This milk will make your body immune to all poisons," my mother said.

HOW CAN A MILK HAVE SUCH AN EFFECT?

"Although we dragons are almost born immune to all poisons, there's no harm in taking such precautions," my mother said.

Hearing this surprised me even more; how can a race be

 so confident?

"You will drink two more bottles from this bottle today, and I will give you two different medicines," my mother said.

"Rest for a while, and then I'll ask Laura to bring you to give you your medicine," my mother said.

After a while, Laura came and took me to my room, but I fell asleep on the long walk to the room.

When I woke up again, I was in Laura's arms again, and she was taking me somewhere.

"So, you're awake, young master. Don't worry, I'm taking you to Lady Alberta," Laura said, letting me know where we were going.

After a long walk, we reached the door of another room, but this was not the same place we had been before.
