"Ace! Are you not going to tell Fay to come with us? What if she ends up stranded?" Sophie moved closer to Ace, to ask him.
"No," he brusquely replied.
Stunned at his sharp response, even without giving space to think about it, she frowned.
"But what if she ends up stranded, and the rain starts to fall again?"
Ace had begun walking to his car, leaving Sophia hurrying behind him.
The twins were behind the both of them, plotting in whispers.
"Let it go, Sophie. I'm not giving her a lift," he responded stubbornly.
He opened the back doors, and waited for the girls to get in first, before he closed the door.
As he made for his door, he couldn't help but to look towards Fay's car.
The car didn't seem like it would be moving anytime soon. A quick trip to his wristwatch showed it was getting late.
