Reality hit him like a brick. Spinning, he hurried out of the room in chase of Fay.
He caught a hold of her just before she could close the door. Pushing himself into the room, he backed up against the door that had closed with a force, and drew her to his body.
"You're not going anywhere!" He yelled. "We'll have to talk about this once and for all."
"Talk about what?!" She questioned with a heaving chest, as she dragged her body away from him.
"About what you think you saw. Me kissing a girl."
She whipped her head behind, and scoffed in disbelief. "It's one thing to lie, and another to lie so brazenly. What does it even matter? Why don't you just leave me alone?" She asked in a lower tone.
She had gone off more than she ever expected she could. The after effect just started to tell on her. Weariness, exhaustion and a big need to immerse herself in water.
