"You probably don't recognize it, right? This is Celebi, and it's just visiting Rex Farm for a while. You all need to take good care of it," Rex introduced Celebi to the girls with a smile.
He planned to explain later that Celebi was a mythical Pokémon, knowing that it would be hard for ordinary people to immediately accept the reality of encountering such a Pokémon. This gradual approach would help facilitate their interactions with Celebi.
"Hello, Celebi."
"Welcome to Rex Farm."
"What kind of food do you like?"
Yuli and the others greeted Celebi warmly, clearly charmed by the cute little creature before them.
Celebi, in a good mood, flew off Rex's shoulder and began interacting with the girls, occasionally landing on someone's head.
"Hello, Officer Jenny. I've found and dealt with the source of the strange aura. The wild Pokémon gathered on the western side of Jade Moon Lake have started returning to the forest. Fallarbor Town should stabilize soon."
Rex took this opportunity to call Officer Jenny and report the situation, hoping to ease her concerns.
"Really? That's fantastic. No wonder the number of emergency calls from residents has been decreasing since just now." Officer Jenny was relieved after hearing Rex's report. Although there were still follow-up matters to handle, they could be resolved quickly.
Over the past few days, only Officer Jenny knew the immense pressure she had been under. Now that the issue was resolved, she could finally return to her more relaxed duties.
During the call, Officer Jenny asked about the cause of the disturbance, but Rex didn't mention Celebi. He didn't want to cause trouble for it.
Rex simply explained that a powerful Pokémon had temporarily passed through the area, causing the panic. Now that it had left, the forest had returned to its usual tranquility.
Officer Jenny didn't doubt Rex's explanation, as it aligned with her own suspicions. Only legendary Pokémon could cause such a significant upheaval, especially one that even her Arcanine couldn't withstand.
After reporting to Officer Jenny, Rex finally felt relieved. After all, the root cause of the issue was now peacefully staying at his farm.
Back in the living room, Rex turned on the TV to watch the live broadcast of the Ever Grande Conference. The current match was between his acquaintances, Ash and Tobias, in the quarterfinals.
Their battle was nearing its end, with each trainer down to their last Pokémon. Ash's Pikachu was fiercely battling Tobias' Meowth in Boots.
This scene also caught Celebi's attention. It unceremoniously perched on Rex's head to watch the match.
Tobias' Meowth used Thunderbolt to counter Pikachu's Thunder attack, preventing it from causing damage. In the end, the two Pokémon clashed with Iron Tail, and Meowth emerged victorious, securing Tobias' place in the semifinals and eliminating Ash.
Rex felt a bit disappointed, not because he couldn't win the Ever Grande Conference but because he missed the chance to have a proper battle with Ash and Tobias.
However, Rex quickly moved past his regret, knowing not everything could go as planned.
With some free time, Rex responded to the well-wishes from his friends, assuring them of his safety.
After finishing these tasks, Rex finally had some leisure time and decided to check the damage caused by the wild Pokémon on his farm.
First, Rex went to the backyard and found everything as usual. The Hoppip were happily playing, seemingly unaffected by recent events.
Celebi felt very comfortable in the backyard, especially seeing so many Hoppip. It joyfully flew among them.
To show off their work, the Hoppip began using Grassy Terrain, filling the backyard with abundant life energy. This greatly increased the concentration of life energy in the area.
Celebi, finding it interesting, also used Grassy Terrain. Its skill was far more potent, infused with a mysterious power that greatly benefited everyone present.
An idea struck Rex, and he released Machoke.
Machoke, not yet understanding the situation, was soon immersed in the dense life energy. It felt a tingling sensation in its broken right arm.
To Machoke's shock, its right arm began to grow back. Although the process was itchy and sore, it watched in awe as its arm regenerated.
"Is this Celebi's power?" Rex was equally astonished, murmuring to himself.
Rex had tried everything to heal Machoke's arm without success. Yet Celebi's casual use of Grassy Terrain had accomplished what Rex couldn't.
Soon, Machoke's right arm fully regrew. Though smaller than its left arm, Machoke looked at it like a treasured possession, knowing the value of what it had regained.
"Congratulations, Machoke. Your body is finally healed. But you'll need to train your right arm to match the left one in size, or it'll look odd," Rex playfully teased Machoke, patting its shoulder.
Machoke pounded its chest, vowing to train harder and strengthen its right arm.
"Thank you for healing Machoke, Celebi." Rex bowed to Celebi, expressing his sincere gratitude. Machoke followed suit.
Celebi simply smiled and rejoined the Hoppip, clearly enjoying playing with other Pokémon.
