Chapter 191 - Chapter 191: Championship Tournament (Part 2)

At this moment, Roserade, surrounded by several water tornadoes, had a look of despair on its face. With no land around, it had no idea where to dodge. Before it could contemplate further, the water tornadoes engulfed it. The tornadoes then merged into a colossal vortex, causing the water level of the field to drop by half.

After a while, when Gyarados voluntarily dispersed the tornado, Roserade's body was seen floating on the water surface, clearly having lost its ability to fight.

After recalling Roserade, Rina sent out her third Pokémon, Magnezone.

Magnezone is a rare Pokémon. Though its pre-evolution form, Magneton, is quite common, evolving Magneton into Magnezone requires a special magnetic field, which is often found in obscure locations, making Magnezone rare.

As a Water/Flying type Pokémon, Gyarados was at a complete disadvantage against an Electric-type. Hence, Rex intended to recall Gyarados and send out another Pokémon.

However, Rina seemed to have anticipated this and had Magnezone intercept the recall beam from the Poké Ball.

Seeing that switching Pokémon was not an option, Rex had Gyarados counterattack. Gyarados gathered a large amount of energy in its mouth and shot it towards Magnezone.

Rina had Magnezone use Thunderbolt to intercept the Hyper Beam. The collision resulted in a massive explosion. Taking advantage of the distraction, Magnezone began charging its Electric-type energy, while Gyarados, due to the aftereffects of Hyper Beam, couldn't counter.

Magnezone quickly unleashed a Thunder attack at Gyarados, causing bolts of lightning to strike Gyarados.

"Roar!"

Gyarados roared in pain from the lightning but did not yield. It charged at Magnezone, enduring the electric shocks, and rammed it, sending Magnezone flying. However, Gyarados also reached its limit and lost consciousness.

Rex was impressed by Gyarados's resilience, noting its remarkable willpower to counterattack despite immense pain.

After recalling Gyarados, Rex sent out Machoke. Though Machoke had only fought once in the conference, neither Rina nor the audience underestimated it.

As the battle began, Magnezone continuously used Thunderbolt to attack Machoke. Machoke, with its superior physical prowess, kept dodging the attacks by jumping between platforms.

Despite the speed of the electric attacks, which occasionally hit Machoke, the damage was not significant enough to threaten it.

Feeling that the attacks were ineffective, Rina had Magnezone use Lock-On to target Machoke, then began gathering a massive amount of electric energy for a Zap Cannon.

Once locked on, Rex had Machoke use Bulk Up to strengthen itself. After two rounds of Bulk Up, Magnezone's Zap Cannon was ready and launched at Machoke, hitting it instantly with immense power.

Machoke crossed its arms in defense. As the energy dissipated, it was evident that Machamp had withstood the attack, though it was paralyzed and scorched.Machoke

Despite being the attacker, Magnezone was exhausted from expending so much energy and began to pant.

To quickly regain energy, Magnezone started using Charge. At this moment, Machoke tensed its legs and, like a cannonball, propelled itself towards Magnezone, delivering a powerful Dynamic Punch. Magnezone, unable to stop charging in time, took the full brunt of the attack, resulting in a significant dent in its steel body and loss of consciousness.

Given Machoke's Guts ability activated by its paralyzed state, combined with its Black Belt, the power of its punch was undeniable, particularly against the Steel-type Magnezone.

Machoke's successive one-hit knockouts earned it much applause. The audience was captivated by Machoke's resilience and indomitable spirit.

With Rina's three Pokémon out, the match entered a halftime break, and the battlefield was re-randomized.

The second half was set on a grass field, which was neutral for both sides.

Rina's fourth Pokémon was Froslass, an Ice/Ghost type. Upon entering, Froslass used Hail, turning the sunny weather into a snowstorm, with Froslass's form blending into the snowy background due to its Snow Cloak ability.

After a brief rest, Froslass reappeared and unleashed a Blizzard at Machoke, attempting to freeze it.

Undeterred by the icy onslaught, Machamp charged towards Froslass. As it neared, Froslass vanished into the snowstorm, clearly planning to wear down Machoke.

Froslass reappeared in another spot and continued its attacks. Machoke chased but to no avail, its body gradually stiffening and slowing under the continuous barrage.

Rex considered recalling Machoke but was met with a firm refusal from Machoke, determined to keep fighting.

Frustrated by its inability to counter, Machoke's anger grew. Its heartbeat slowed, almost to a halt, as its body froze further.

At this moment, Machoke felt a connection with the earth and instinctively stomped with all its might. The ground shook violently.

"Earthquake!"

Rex was astonished as Machoke executed a large-scale Earthquake attack, revealing Froslass and causing it significant pain.

Seeing an opening, Machoke didn't hesitate. Its left hand gathered fiery energy, and it charged at Froslass.

Froslass, recovering, tried to use Destiny Bond to take Machoke down with it. However, Machoke's Fire Punch struck first, knocking Froslass out, and Machoke also fainted due to Destiny Bond's effect.
