Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Scene Change):

When Trunks, Sasuke and Navigator arrived back in the director's office, they were met with silence. Kakashi was the more level-headed person among them. He looked at Trunks and shared his disappointment, not just because of what happened today, but he was also disappointed at Sasuke. He understands why he had to do it. If he didn't, someone else had to, but he also knows Sasuke and he doesn't do anything like that out of the kindness of his heart. If he does something that even remotely looks like it, it means he has another reason why. A more selfish one. That is the only thing that disappoints him the most about his former student.

Piccolo was barely keeping himself together, while he shared the same sentiment as Kakashi, what he really wanted to do was knock that selfish ninja's head off. However on the scale of level-headedness, you have the two instructors on the one side, who are the most sensible, but then you have the other two in the room who represented the hotheads. One especially. Luffy did not waste any time to attack Sasuke with a powerful, stretchy punch aimed to the face. However Sasuke ducked underneath and the punch broke one of the monitors behind him. When he looked up, with both his Sharingan and Rinnegan ready, this was the point where something had to be done.

And something did happen. "THAT IS ENOUGH!" Glover's voice boomed. "I will not have ANY fights in my office! Luffy, I understand your anger, but if Sasuke hadn't stepped in then Mr. Nelson would have probably been killed, if his rampage went on. Now be glad that hasn't happened! Am I clear?!"

Luffy didn't respond, instead he just pulled his hat down over his eyes, and walked towards the stairs. When he reached the point where he would disappear behind the wall, he stopped, and looked back specifically at Sasuke. "Hey, duckhead." Sasuke only made a side-eye glance at the pirate captain, who looked at him with such intensity, Sasuke couldn't help but feel impressed. "If you hurt one of my friends again. I'm gonna kick your ass. Got it?" Luffy said. It may have sounded normal, but everyone in that room felt the anger behind that tone. He didn't even give him a chance to respond, before he disappeared behind the wall.

Sasuke didn't take that threat seriously. He didn't even react in any way. "Whatever, I got better things to do." Sasuke said, before he vanished in a blink of an eye. The next one to leave was Jason. Without a word, he walked up the stairs, but before he disappeared behind the wall, the director stopped him. "Mr. Williams, don't leave just yet. I believe it is time for us to have our talk."

"Later." That was all Jason said, but before he could take that next step, the director stopped him again.

"No, I'm sorry, but there won't be a 'later'." Jason tried to give the director a look that communicated a mix of annoyance and frustration, but the director acted like he didn't notice it. "I apologize for what you saw. The method was indeed extreme, but I'm sure you can see the reason behind it."

"Sasuke Uchiha just put a sword through my best-friend's chest. I don't give a crap about the reason, at all." Every word, felt like it was dripping venom. Everyone in the office felt varying degrees of symphony for Jason, but if they were being honest they wanted him to leave the room as quickly as possible and that's why they didn't voice any opinions.

But the director wasn't done yet, so when Jason wanted to leave again, he was stopped once more: "Do you want to prevent that from happening again?" Jason stopped his leg from stepping on the step and he just stood there confused.

"What did you say?"

"It's a pretty simple question, Mr. Williams and I do believe you know the answer to that." Jason just looked at the director, like he grew a second head.

"Look! I don't have time for your funny business, all right?! So, let's just talk later." Jason said. To which, Glover only sighed, not in frustration but in disappointment. Rather than talking, the director decided on a different approach for him. He walked over to his desk and opened the top drawer on the right side. He rummaged for a bit before he pulled out what he was looking for, but when he pulled it out, it brought different reactions from everyone in the room.

Jason was confused, seeing the strange looking object in the director's hand. Trunks and Kakashi looked shocked at the sight of it, while Piccolo shared Jason's confusion. The object of everyone's shock and confusion was a green, pineapple-looking fruit, with swirls covering the surface.

"Wait that's-" Trunks couldn't finish before the director tossed it to Jason, who caught it.

Jason looked it over but nothing about this fruit explained anything to him. "Okay, what's this supposed to be? Cause, this is the suckiest joke I've ever seen." Jason said.

"I promise this isn't a joke in any way. In fact, what you hold in your hands is more than just a chance but an opportunity." The director said, the vagueness catching everyone off guard.

"Alright, I've had just about enough of this! What's your game, Director?!" Piccolo said. "First you send Nelson on a dangerous mission and now this! Just what are you playing at?!"

"I agree with Piccolo, sir. I could understand a lot of things you did earlier, but this is different. What's going on?" Trunks asked, while Kakashi stared at the director more intently.

The director saw the tension in the room and breathed a sigh out of his nose. "I would like to hear your answer by tomorrow morning at the latest, Mr. Williams. Go on, I wouldn't want to keep you from your friend."

Still confused but relieved, Jason silently left the office with only a little bit of hesitation, leaving the rest alone in the room.

"Now spill it! What are you hiding?!"

"I'm not hiding anything Mr. Piccolo." Glover said trying to diffuse the situation. "But now that we are alone, I want to know, have any of you noticed how many heroes we have on the base?"

The question caught everyone off guard. "What are you talking about?" Piccolo asked and everyone else eyed the director.

Before he answered, the director pressed a button on his desk that turned off all the small monitors, and then he pressed another button to bring up a chart on the big one. It was titled: Hero Numbers. "The answer is simple Mr. Piccolo. Ever since we arrived in this world, three months ago, we have lost nearly thirty percent of our overall fighting force. The last fifteen percent died in battle in the last month alone and the other fifteen, simply vanished without a trace."

Kakashi, Trunks and Piccolo went quiet after director Glover explained that part. They've noticed how the numbers have been dwindling bit by bit when the fight came to this new world, and they understood why, after all this is war and people, soldiers and civilians, always die in war. However, these numbers somehow made that reality even more dark and gritty. Both Kakashi and Piccolo were strangers to this part of life, and they accepted it but that didn't mean they liked it.

"I've analyzed every battle report that landed on my desk and after calculating the numbers and analyzing the situations, I have arrived at two possible reasons. Number one, at the start of the war, the Venoms were working alone. They attacked each world with the sole motivation to just destroy it. But that all changed when Frieza attacked this world alongside the Venoms."

What the director said, slowly came together in the minds of everyone there. They did notice that the Venoms pattern only consisted of aimless destruction, to everyone and everything that moved, but then slowly of the course of the war, they started to change, becoming more methodical and calculating. Creating strategies that would almost annihilate many Jump Force teams.

But now they seemed to change once again. "That made me realize, that our common enemy... have joined forces with your individual ones. Their army has grown." Piccolo and Trunks paled when they heard that and Kakashi one eye nearly popped out. This was indeed bad news, in every sense of it. The director then brought up another chart, which was titled: Enemy's Predicted Numbers. "Far larger than we can handle, which is in part because of the second reason." All three perked up again.

"The second reason is because we are recruiting heroes far too slowly, to keep up with their growing numbers. Our process to cleanse an Umbras cube of its malice takes too long. Months in fact and by then, our enemies' numbers have grown once more." That also makes sense. Trunks noticed how there were seemingly not enough new members joining the teams, despite the fact that he has given a generous amount of cubes to many new recruits. He thought they were just dying too fast.

"That is why I've given Mr. Williams that fruit. It might just be the answer we need, in this dilemma." All three heroes immediately understood what the director was saying, however they didn't know how they should feel about this idea.

(Scene change):

Jason felt his bare feet slide over the floor, as he walked through the crowds. He did his best not to hit anyone he passed, but there were a few people that he had to apologize to, like the man he bumped into after dodging a mother pushing a baby carriage. He continued his course, until he found himself in the tunnel leading down to the lower levels of the base. He remembers this route from when he left the hospital after his discharge.

But he never thought he would be going back there so soon after the last follow up. As he walked down the tunnel, he felt his chest tighten up and he felt his nose work overtime to get oxygen into his body. He thoughts couldn't be contained. They couldn't be reigned in.

'Zac's gonna okay. There's nothing that can make him stay down. The guy's as tough as nails.' The image of the blade through Zac's chest nearly made him throw up. 'I never liked Sasuke. Even in the anime, but what he did just proves it. No matter what, he can't be trusted. Naruto can trust him all he wants, but he can leave me out of it.' Soon enough, while his mind was having its inner dialogue, he found himself in the lower levels and a few moments later, stood in front of the very same doors of the infirmary.

It opened up and revealed the familiar setting he woke up in, but he didn't care about that. He ignored the discomfort in his stomach and walked straight towards the receptionist. "Hi."

"Hello, sir." The kind lady said. "How can I help you?"

"Uh yeah, my friend was brought in here earlier. Zachery Nelson."

The receptionist then pulled up a list of names on the screen in front of her. "Zachery... Zac... Yes, he was brought in earlier via a Navigator droid. The doctors managed to stabilize him."

He didn't even know he was holding his breath, until he sighed. Jason was relieved to hear that. "Can I see him?"

"Are you a friend or family member?"

That struck Jason hard, but he kept it together. "A friend."

"Okay, he's down the hall to my right, when you reach the end, turn right. You'll find him in room 110." Jason nodded and walked towards the target room.

(Scene Change): Zac's P.O.V.

Why does everything hurt?

My whole body feels like it was put through the ringer. My legs and arms feel like they've put squeezed like a tube of toothpaste. My chest has this weird sting sensation that comes and goes and my head feels like an elephant used my skull as a springboard at the pool. What happened to me?

Everything just feels hazy. I remember I was on a mission in New York. I was fighting Venoms. I took one down before fighting another one, but I'm not sure what happened after that. Did that Venom knock me out? That could explain why I'm so tired. But who got me out of there? Did I even get out of there?

Ah man! Piccolo's not gonna take that lightly. I can already see my training getting harder because of this!

Great.

Just great!

Wait a minute, what am I hearing? Are those voices? Is that Trunks? Oh man, I hope it's Trunks, otherwise I'm screwed!

Shit! My eyes feel so heavy. Come on Zac, you can do it. On three, force them open.

Okay, one, two, three!

I then forced my eyes open and was met with an extremely bright light, then even hurt the back of brain. "Yeowch!" I screamed before shutting my eyes again, but I still see it with my eyelids closed. The headache is still here, but at the same time it got even worse!

"Ok that hurt. Ow!"

Then I heard: "Oh, doctor he's awake." And I heard their footsteps walk all the way to my bed. However one sounded normal and light. I think that was the nurse, but the second set sounded so tiny. Like they belong to a child, wearing shoes with squeaky soles.

I struggled to open my eyes and when I did, I saw double of everything. The nurse looked exactly like that same one I met when Jason was in the hospital, and the doctor was Chopper! "Chopper?"

"Zac, thank goodness you're awake." He said that as he jumped on my bed. "I thought you were going to die, but you were lucky." Wow okay, that sounded a little weird.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. "What happened?"

Chopper looked visibly uncomfortable. Almost like he was searching for the right words. "Zac, you were stabbed... in the chest." It suddenly felt like everything is growing dead silent, my vision is clearing up and everything is coming into focus.

"What?" Was the only thing I could utter.

Chopper then nodded, as if he was reading my mind and confirming it. I, unconsciously felt my chest, and felt the bandage which caused me to look down at it, however the more I stared at it, the more it felt real and the final nail in the coffin, was the sudden, stinging pain. But that pain had a domino affect, that pushed open the door to my subconscious.

And the next second, I was in a different place. All I remember was anger and I saw a blade sticking out of my chest. But who is that, standing right in front of me? The face is blurry, but I can make out two distinct colours, where the eyes are supposed to be. Red on the right and grey on the left. Who would have eyes like that?

The red eye then became clearer and then it hit me. It was a Sharingan!

"Sasuke." I muttered, but it was still loud enough for Chopper to hear.

"Wait, who's that? Is that the guy who helped you?" Chopper asked.

"No, he's-" I couldn't finish before I heard a knock at the door. When I looked over to see who it was, I saw Jason standing in the doorway, looking happy, but it was weird kind of happy, especially with the bags under his eyes. Is he getting enough sleep? But before I could say anything, he walked into the room.

"Boy am I glad to see you're awake. You know you scared the shit out of me, right?" Jason said. I knew exactly where this was going and I struggled to hold my in a chuckle, but I let a snort slip out. "So I was thinking, you owe me a weekend at a bar, filled to the brim with the hottest girls and the strongest booze. You're buying. What do you say?"

I snorted again, while looking at him like he was an idiot. "Yeah right, not happening, okay? Go mooch off someone else."

Jason acted like he was hurt, with his mouth wide open and his hand placed on his chest in a dramatic way. "How... dare you say that? What about all the times I helped you get over your fear of girls? All those double dates I dragged you too. Admit you man, you owe me."

I didn't laugh this time. There was no good memory from those so-called double dates at all. "Okay first of all, 'dragged' would be an understatement, considering all the blackmail and threats you came up with." I said, while cringing at those crappy memories.

Once again Jason acted like he was hurt. "I have no idea what you're talking bout."

"You said I'd be gay, if I didn't!" The annoyance came out in every word, from my mouth.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad, was it?"

"You said, you'd tell everybody at school!"

Jason then grew a contemplating look on his face, that obviously looks fake. I don't think he was even trying to hide it. "Hmm. Oh yeah, I did do that." Okay now I'm fuming! "But hey! Aren't you glad we sorted that out? I mean, I'm glad."

This only made me grind my teeth and I'm sure a massive tick mark appeared on my forehead. "Oh yeah, I'm so glad, I'll smack yeah just to show it. GET OVER HERE!" I said, getting ready to stand up, and the look Jason had quickly changed to an 'oh shit!' one, and he was about to run for his life, but I then felt another weight land on stomach. I realised it was Chopper, but before I could ask anything, I felt his hooves grab my cheeks, which honestly felt a little weird.

"No! You're not leaving until you heal up completely! And you, stop causing him to move around so much!" Chopper chastised both of us. It was actually scary to look at. Seriously, it looked like he was going to gore us with those little antlers.

"Alright I'll stop." Jason said, but for some reason, I noticed he looked more uncomfortable. No wait uncomfortable, he kind off looks he's getting angry. Honestly, that's a look I've rarely seen. It was a long while back when I saw it, I think it was like four years ago.

"But seriously dude, as much as I'm happy to see you're okay, I gotta ask. What the hell happened back there?" I heard Jason turn serious and it surprised me.

"What do you mean?"

"Kak man! (Bullshit!)" Nope I was wrong, he's pissed. "One minute, you're this close to kicking the bucket and the next, you're thrashing the guy into next week! What the hell is going on?!"

"Dude what are you talking about? How do you even know about that?!" I asked, because it did sound like he was watching my mission, but how could he even do that? However, before I could find an answer to that, I suddenly felt something stab my head. My whole upper body bent forward and ears were ringing. It got so bad it felt like a knife was poking my eye from inside my brain.

But just like that, the pain vanished and felt my body plump back down on the bed. My ears were still ringing but it didn't hurt anymore, but I suddenly felt really tired and I just wanted to go to sleep.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Jason looked at the situation once again feeling shocked. The sight of Zac falling back on the bed and falling asleep made his mind go a million miles per hour. No, it's not just that, it's the whole situation, that making his mind go ballistic.

"Sir, please leave, the doctor needs the room." He heard the nurse say, but he didn't register it. While his mind was going haywire, the whole world around him slowed down to a snail's pace. But at the same time, it felt he couldn't breathe.

He couldn't take it anymore, he had to leave. He turned and basically leapt out of the room. Jason's back was against the wall as he watched the nurse pull a blue curtain around Zac's bed. His legs started to shake and his knees began to buckle until it felt like he couldn't hold his own weight anymore and slide down the wall. But before his butt could touch the floor, he felt a bump hit the left side of the hip.

'Oh... right' He fished that weird fruit out of his jacket pocket and just stares at it. He remembered what the director said earlier, but he still doesn't understand what he meant.

He wished he was somewhere else now, like a club, where he and Zac could just enjoy their time, drinking, talking about random crap and dance to the music. The silence in these halls were killing him.

He couldn't contemplate any longer before he heard the curtain move and when he looked up, he saw Chopper walking over to him. "It's okay. Zac's going to be alright. Whatever he did must have been exhausting, because he's sleeping now." But Chopper noticed what he was saying wasn't reaching him. "Jason, what's wrong?"

Jason met Chopper's concerned look with his hesitant one. "Nothing. Just peachy."

Chopper didn't buy that at all and with a closer look he diagnosed the actual problem. "Hey, it's okay to feel sad about your friend. You don't have hide it." Jason was conflicted when he heard that, because it that even what he was feeling right now? There was anger, he'll admit to that, but he'll talk about anything else.

"I'm not sad about Zac. I mean, that's not the only reason." Chopper perked his ears a little bit, waiting for more. But Jason was struggling to find the right words. "I'm serious, Zac can get back up from anything."

Jason then remembered his school days and a somber feeling washed over him at the thought of those memories.

"You know, me and Zac go way back. We met in the first grade, and we got off on the wrong foot. I remembered him being this lonely, quiet kid, that let everyone walk all over him. I thought he was loser, a guy that only liked to feel sorry for himself. So one day, when I called him out on that, he let it slide and it just pissed me off." Chopper listened attentively, while Jason was looking into Zac's room, not really focusing on anything.

"But one day, I pissed off the wrong guy at school. He was this big, wanna-be tough guy. Everybody knew him and all of them didn't like him one bit. He and his friends jumped me outside the gate, I tried to fend them off, but I couldn't. Before I knew those guys knocked me out. Then Zac jumped in and broke that moron's nose and they ran away. He helped to the school nurse, afterward." Chopper looked kind of entranced when he heard that.

"Wow, he sounds like a nice person."

"Yeah, sure." Jason sighed. "Bottom line is, after that day I owed him, so I decided to have his back and I did. Later on, we became friends." Those memories were about to make him cry, but he fought back the tears. "But now, I don't think I can do that anymore."

Chopper looked at him confused. "Why do you say that?"

"Just look at him. He's not that same quiet guy anymore. Every day he goes off to train with an alien, all to fight other aliens trying to destroy the world. How am I supposed to have his back against that? Seriously, look at him. I'm just a normal guy with a stump and he's almost superman." Jason felt a little sting in his stump, almost like his phantom arm wanted to strangle him. Chopper looked at him, not with contempt, confusion or even outright hostility, instead it was the opposite.

"I get it." Chopper simply said. "Before we came here, I was the doctor back on the Sunny. But you see, the thing is, it's not easy. I have friends that aren't afraid of fighting and they always get hurt and it's my job to heal their injuries or cure their diseases." Chopper could see that Jason was struggling to understand what he was saying. "But you know, before I met them, I stayed with a man, named Dr. Hiriluk. It was after my family chased me away." Jason had a visible reaction, and Chopper noticed it.

"It was after I ate my devil fruit. I was already hated by them and after eating the fruit, it just got worse and they chased me away." Jason felt his heart ache at that. "I tried to live among the humans, but they saw me as a monster and chased me away too. They even shot me." Jason was horrified at that. He can still understand why though, after all, he got scared the first time they met, but in that short time when he was healing up, he got to know him, so hearing this just made him mad.

"But I was found my Dr. Hiriluk and he patched me up. Not just that, he also let me stay with him. If it wasn't for him, I don't know where I'd be." Chopper felt the rush of memories surfacing and he was glad. He was afraid of him in the beginning, but that fear changed the more time he spent with him. However, those happy memories then turned sad. "But later on he got sick. I tried to help, by giving him a mushroom I found in the forest. I thought it would cure him but in the end, I just ended up poisoning him. He died after that." That time he got so angry he nearly went on a rampage. If it weren't for Dalton, he might have.

Jason didn't understand what he meant, but he didn't interrupt. "After that I studied medicine and trained under Dr. Kureha, promising that I would become a great doctor, that can cure any anything."

"My point is, being the ship's doctor is my job. My part. Sure, I could hold my own in a fight, but in the end the role of the strongest in the crew, goes to the others. I don't have to be the strongest, to help my friends. You understand?"

There has been a few times in Jason's life where he was forced to think things through. Where to take his first girlfriend on a date. How he could buy his first car. In fact, you can count all those times on one hand. But this moment takes up another finger. However, as much as he wants to agree with Chopper, there is still too much doubt in the way. "But how do I know, I won't fail again?"

Chopper was confused when Jason asked that. "Zac told you about New York right? Well, did he also tell you that I just stood there while he was trying to smash the window. You know, while he was trying to get his father out, I just stood there like an idiot! How am I supposed to look him in the eye after that, much less have his back?"

Chopper looked at him for a while, letting everything he said be absorbed. Honestly he understands what he's saying, but it's hard to find the right words. He stood still for another minute before saying: "You won't. That's the thing you won't ever know if you're going to fail or succeed. That's why you should give it your all every time you try."

That did it! Jason felt those words knock down any doubt that was built up. Why was he so scared in the first place? He knows Zac! He won't just abandon someone, especially his friends, no matter how bad they are or how much they screwed up. Not that easily. It was also at that moment when he thought he felt that distinct lump in his pocket. Those spiky leaves managed to pinch and stab through his jacket and shirt, almost like the fruit wanted to help to bring him back to reality.

Jason reached into his pocket and pulled it out. Chopper felt his eyes pop out at the sight of it. "What?! How did you get a Devil Fruit?!" He yelled, seemingly forgetting where he is in that moment.

"The devil's what now?" Jason asked incredulously.

"A Devil Fruit. How do you get it?" Chopper asked.

"The director gave it to me." Jason answered.

"Why?!"

"I don't know why?! He just tried to sound cool and mysterious before he chucked it at me!" Jason yelled, also forgetting where he was.

Chopper managed to calm himself down, but he was still concerned about what Jason said. 'Why did the director do that?! Nami said that fruit was practically worthless. She may have gotten a good price for it, but it wasn't as much as she wanted. I need to tell him before he-" Chopper suddenly heard a munch and someone choking. He looked and saw Jason making the most disgusting face he's ever seen. It frightened him so much he screamed.

"Ahhh! WHY DID YOU EAT IT?!" Chopper yelled again.

Jason looked around to see a trash can or something to spit it out, but there wasn't one. He never liked throwing up or spitting out his food, so through sheer grit, he swallowed the most disgusting thing he's ever tasted, hoping it won't come back up. "Oh my God, that was gross! That egghead seriously gave me a rotten fruit?! When I get my hand on him, I swear I'll-" But he couldn't finish before he felt tiny hooves grabbing his collar.

"WHY DID YOU SWALLOW?! YOU SHOULD HAVE SPIT THAT OUT!" Jason tried to shove him off, but he discovered it was difficult to get the little reindeer off him with only one arm.

"Hey, back off!"

"No, I won't! Do you know what you done?!" Chopper asked, after letting go of him.

"Yeah, I ate a rotten pineapple."

"No! It's much worse than that!"

"Like what, food poisoning? Cause I can feel that happening."

*RUMBLE*

It's true, his stomach did start to rumble and hurt, but that wasn't the only thing he felt happening. Soon his right stump started to twitch, but he didn't acknowledge it. Chopper noticed how this was happening and he started to back away. Who knows what's going to happen to him? He imagined different scenarios, but the most prevalent one could be it turning into a giraffe head. That last part could definitely happen thanks to all the adventures Chopper has been on, but who knows, it could even be rhino this time.

Jason would have noticed it, if he didn't have a raging bull destroying his stomach, like it was a China shop. His stump also got crazier and Chopper's eyes were glued to it hoping it wouldn't be something weird or scary. But suddenly just as quick as it came, the pain stopped. Jason was confused, because for a moment he was contemplating, whether or not to just book it to nearest restroom and pray he'll make it before he would regret not putting on brown pants for today, but instead he's fine.

However Chopper wasn't confused. No, instead the only thing he was feeling was fear. The reason was found where Jason's stump was. "J-Jason."

"Yikes, that could have been bad. Not really the best way to end a day with a chocolate waterfall, am I right?" Jason said while rubbing his stomach, but his quip didn't get the laughter he was expecting.

"J-J-Jason..." Chopper wanted to say more, but the words wouldn't come out.

"What? Bad timing? Was it too inappropriate? Sorry couldn't think of anything... Huh? Wait, what's wrong with your face?" Jason was confused, once again when he looked Chopper's trembling demeanor.

"L-L-Look... your... arm." Chopper said, pointing at his torso.

"What are you talking abou-" The rest of that sentence died immediately when Jason looked and two limbs holding his stomach. He blinked an infinite amount of times, but his brain finally caught up with reality, his eyeballs were showing.

With a violent jerk, he yanked both limbs off his body to inspect them. The right arm was its usual, normal self but that wasn't the issue right now. Jason's left arm was the problem, simply because it didn't look like a normal arm at all. It was a greyish, blue colour that did not resemble normal human skin at all. When he clenched his hand into a fist, he didn't feel his skin, he didn't feel anything at all. He also could swore, he was seeing tiny specks of light reflecting in the arm.

Unfortunately, the weirdness didn't end there as the arm suddenly colour. It went from greyish blue to green, to purple, to red until it became greyish blue again. Then it looked like it was starting to melt and little drops fell on the floor. Both Jason and Chopper were staring at this with mouths wide open, but nothing came out. After a while, the arm suddenly lost all its form and fell off Jason's stump, landing with a splat on the floor next to him. But, once again the weirdness didn't end there.

The gel-like mass started moving back to Jason, like it had a mind of its own. Unexpectedly, the mass jumped into Jason's body and in a split second, the arm was back. 'WTF?!' Jason thought and Chopper's face mirrored that thought.

Both then looked at each other with there shocked faces before both did the most logical thing, anyone would do in that situation:

"AHHHHHHHHHH!"

TO BE CONTINUED.
