LOVE.
Humans can do anything for love.
They can make the whole world their enemy, all for the sake of love.
They can even give their lives for love.
Love is the only feeling that can transform the bad into good and the good into bad.
KARIN CITY, 2003
A heavy crowd gathered outside the Mansuta Concert Hall, where Nancy handed out flowers to everyone passing by.
Nancy – a flower seller and friend of LGT.
Everyone was there to witness the grand performance of the Magical Donkeys, set to begin in an hour.
The host announced the arrival of Baba Ji, who would take the stage next.
Baba – a mystic who predicts the future through riddles.
Baba Ji took the stage and began his monotonous lecture on God and yoga. After a lengthy discourse, it was finally time for the highlight of his performance—future predictions.
He proclaimed,
"The one who falls for love
will not wait for tomorrow,
They'll want to do it today, for the sake of God.
But haste is the work of a demon, who will lose everything,
A loss that even God cannot save."
"Your possessions are precious,
You must keep them safe.
Love, pain, happiness—
They will all be seen together,
And miracles will happen without a hitch."
This riddle was one of Baba Ji's most cryptic, leaving the audience perplexed. Did you understand it?
Finally, the moment arrived for the grand performance. The host called the Magical Donkeys to the stage.
A voice echoed through the speakers,
"We will make you laugh like a baby monkey,
To show the magic, here come the Magical Donkeys!"
The audience erupted in cheers.
Justin turned to Stella, asking if everything was ready. She nodded affirmatively.
"Are you ready?" he called to the audience.
"YEAHHHH!!!" they cheered in response.
"Then let's begin our performance!"
The Magical Donkeys launched into their classic comedy skit.
A dedicated fan shouted,
"It's the same as before! What's grand about this performance?"
Justin took the mic, grinning.
"Today's magic will be so grand that no one in history has ever witnessed it, nor will they in the future."
Pablo handed Justin his stick and hat, and Justin chanted,
"Black Magic Huhu Jhggh Wroom Kra!"
As he finished the incantation, the lights abruptly turned off. You can imagine what happened next.
When the lights returned, Justin smiled.
"So, how did you like our magic?"
"Where's the magic?" a voice cried from the audience.
Pablo chimed in,
"You'll see it soon enough."
Justin gestured for Stella to sing the outro song.
"We're leaving now, singing a song.
Nothing is right, and nothing is wrong.
For the sake of the people, we stea—"
Suddenly, a stranger girl burst onto the stage, snatching the mic from Stella's hand.
"I know their magic! They're thieves. They steal people's stuff after turning off the lights!"
Everyone checked their belongings. Of course, they were all missing.
"This girl is right! Our stuff is gone!"
"Yeah!"
"Give us our stuff back!"
"Give it back!"
Stella reclaimed the mic and confronted the audience, while Pablo worked to keep everyone back. The girl continued shouting from the stage. But where was Justin?
He hadn't gone anywhere; he stood there, transfixed by the stranger, lost in her gaze.
Why? Because Justin had fallen in love. It was love at first sight—a moment frozen in time.
"Justin, let's go."
"Justin, the police have arrived."
"Justin, run!"
"Justin!"
Pablo finally punched Justin's arm.
"Oi, Justin! The police are here. Let's run!"
With that, Justin, Stella, and Pablo fled the scene, as if they were truly being chased by the police.
In the aftermath of this scandal, LGT's performances faced a sharp decline in government support.
But what happened a month later was nothing short of hilarious...
