"Owen, sorry. I can't cook breakfast today, I'm late."
"Ah, that's okay. Do you want me to drive you?"
"I'm okay… and you're not even dressed yet." She points out his clothes.
"I don't have anything for today so I can take you." Lie. It was another day in the gym for him but judging how Lucy was moving hastily, he knew that the woman would leave him if he said otherwise.
Both already acknowledged that an imbalanced relationship would lead to a disaster but maybe the imbalance had already set in but they failed to realize it.
Owen follows Lucy as she makes her way towards the front door.
Lucy initially didn't want to disturb Owen's day off but she was running late and a car ride instead of the bus would surely cut off some valuable minutes from her travel time.
She didn't have to express her agreement looking at Owen's determination to be her chauffeur for the morning.
