A few monthsafter the Naboo crisis was resolved the galaxy once more returned to peace but the undercurrents suggest that not everyone was happy with the decisions that follow said crisis. Firstly, the mastermind behind the act was hand over to a mercenary organitation that had appear out of nowhere with slugthrower never seen before and a coordiation and equipment similar to that of the judicial forces of the actual Republic, clearly of military grade. Secondly, said mastermind was never brought to justice becouse that same organitation later ransom him to the Commerce Guild in Cato Neimodia with the price not having made public. And thirdly, the alleged return of the sith to the galaxy once more, but this rumor end quickly after a few weeks.
It was also leek from where this mercenary company was buying the weapons they used, forcing the Senate to propose a bill to sanction the company for not following the Rusaan Reformation which led to the resentment of various planet trying to acquire said armament to upgrade their defensive capabilities and that of the corporations that felt that this was a retaliation for the acts done in Naboo. This planet also suffer various reformations after the invasion, the first one being that Queen Amidala resing from her post and becoming the new senator of Naboo, joining in the process the peace faction of the Senate. The new Queen actions reflect the aborted crisis impact, first the naboo royal guard became the public safety police importing new equipment and recruting from the people of the planet. This duality served to criticize the peace faction in the bills that they propose in the Senate and never came to pass except for the sanctions againts the Grizzly Arms Syndicate.
This sanctions prove of little concern to the group that intensify their economic endevors all over the galaxy, arming rebels and goverments alike. This new flow of material made the Judicial Fleet operate with a very thin margin of success and more than once the Jedi Council was force to interfire in local conflict, stimullating the concept that the jedi were nothing more than dogs to the Senate and the rich worlds of the core. And becouse of this, in more than one instance, the forces of said planet didn't hesitate in shooting at them but this time it wasn't with blasters but with real ammunition from different calibers, from the 7.92×57mm Mauser to the 7.7×58mm Arisaka. This weapons prove fatal to inexperience jedi making their number a little thinner.
Meanwhile in Arkonis Beta, in the city of Arx Lumina Max was seat in his office reviewing the documents of the purchase and transport of the goods that were being deliver to each planet to make sure that everything was in order and if some irregularities where being done in the accounts.
"Silvy make sure that this papers are deliver to the Chief of the Army and the Chief of the Navy, as well as the Leader of our chamber of commerce. Also, call for Ari and Ann to come to my office after the meeting with the local governors"
"Yes mister Maximus. Should I deliver any documents to the meeting room or here at the office?"
"No, don't worry about this, all the documents that are need are already there. But please bring me lunch and a cup of coffee"
After being alone once more I focused on the reports in my hands from the Grizzly Arms Syndicate and Vespera Magna. The first talk aout the increase in orders for the outer rim galaxy, as well as the movilitation of grand company's like Kuat, the report says that the end of this movements is still unclear but I know very well what they are trying to do, this movements are preparations for the Clone Wars that will ensue in the years to come. As for Vespera Magna, the report talk about the need for more heavy machinery, troops and materials for the planned projects. Of course both were important and both were approved due to their need for our group. I also sent people to make preliminary contact with Walex Blissex rather than Lira Wessex due to her ties with Kuat Drive Yards and her father and later relationship with the Empire. Instead Walex had a rather mild demenor and his ties are more about benefit than politics at this stage, also becouse he will later betray the Empire and join the rebels in their fight againts Palpatine, but those were thought for future me.
A knock on my door made me come back to reality. "It's open" and with that two women enter my office standing at the ready, awaiting their orders. "Please seat the both of you, before I assign your mission I want to hear what two of the most promissing talents of the navy and army have to say after reading the five documents before you" I said pointing at said documents.
After both them finish reading them and the documents where once more in my desk their response end up surprising me a little.
"War" Both said in unison.
Instead of asking why they thougth that my question aim a little bit further that what most people would asume.
"Indeed, but my question remain. How would you use this opportunity?"
