Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

After resting for ten minutes, the guy and girl began to get ready for the journey again. Aya did not show an ounce of dissatisfaction, completely obeying Kenshin, following him without a second thought, without thinking about how they would survive in the mountains. The young man, in turn, promised himself that he would take care of her at all costs and would not allow her to starve.

After an hour and a half, they reached the base of the first mountain, but Kenshin didn't like the terrain, so they moved a little deeper into the mountains, and about fifteen minutes later they found a large network of caves, and the young man decided that this was what he needed.

Leaving Aya outside, he grabbed a pre-prepared torch, lit it, and entered the cave. 20 meters from the entrance, the tunnel split into two passages, Kenshin decided to check both. He reached the end of the left tunnel in about 2 minutes, and the passage again divided into two parts. Deciding not to risk going deep into the unexplored caves, Kenshin returned and checked the second tunnel, finding that after about 50 meters it ended in a dead end.

Deciding that this was the right place, he focused on an ability he only had superficial information about. The young man mentally activated "Create Shelter", and his consciousness seemed to leave his head. He saw the nearest area within a radius of about 150 meters and was shocked. Although he knew approximately how the "Creation of Shelter" occurs, knowing and experiencing are not the same thing.

For the next hour, the young man built the "drawings" in the designated area; after finishing the "setting up," he mentally approved everything, confirmed the creation of the shelter, and then fell exhausted against the nearest wall. Sweat poured from his face, and his head was pounding ungodly.

The dead end in front of him glowed with a blue glow, and this lasted for about five minutes, and then everything became silent. Kenshin walked up to the wall of the "dead end" on shaky legs and put his hand into a small, almost invisible recess. A second later, the wall thundered and slowly moved to the side, ceasing to be a wall, and becoming a door. The door of his new home.

"Happened! And it really worked!" - Kenshin thought and couldn't help but smile. All of his tiredness instantly disappeared, and he quickly went inside and quickly walked around his new "home". Making sure that everything was as he had planned, the young man hurried to the exit, where Aya was waiting for him.

Hearing footsteps coming from the depths of the cave, Aya became wary, and as soon as Kenshin had time to emerge into the world, a fragile blue-eyed brunette rushed into his arms and began to kiss him.

- God, Kenshin, thank God you're okay! I was so worried... - the girl said in a trembling voice, her tender face was framed by two stripes of tears.

- Shh, it's okay, I'm okay, see? "He said with a smile, hugging her and pressing her to him.

- Where have you been? I've already thought of this for myself... - Aya said sobbing, afraid to return to what she was thinking about until Kenshin returned.

- Built our new house. – He answered with a smile.

- House? Built? – Aya asked again without understanding.

- Let's go, I'll show you everything! "Kenshin said cheerfully, kissing her on the lips, and then grabbed the bags of things.

When they reached a "dead end," Aya glanced at Kenshin in disbelief, not understanding how anyone could call a damp cave home, but then Kenshin opened the door, and the girl's jaw almost dropped. The young man pulled the frozen girl by the hand, and they went inside.

There was no lighting inside their new "home" yet, but Kenshin was going to fix that soon. The "Create Shelter" ability was only level 1, so the resulting "house" was not so vast and magnificent. But he was not small either.

The prototype of Kenshin's "shelter" was partly a very prestigious four-room apartment, but he added some changes of his own and created almost a copy of the apartment from his past world. The system was very generous in its options for furnishing the shelter, and allowed Kenshin to create parquet floors, carpets, beautiful concrete walls, varnished wood, and more. As a result, the young man seemed to return to his world. The only thing that reminded him of where he was was his rustic outfit, and a homemade torch in his hand, which mercilessly smoked the beautiful ceiling of his new apartment.

The young man was upset at first, but then remembered that for the convenience of the "Patriarch", his shelter would self-clean every 2 days and return to its original state, restoring some damaged parts, but if more than 40% of the shelter was damaged, it would become unusable and stop restoring its integrity.

Kenshin looked at the "Create Shelter" ability and saw on the right a timer counting down the time until the ability could be used again, and realized that he would be able to remake this shelter or create a new one no sooner than in seven days, while it was impossible to create two shelters at the same time , the old one will immediately fall into disrepair and turn into an unremarkable cave.

Kenshin's "new house" had 4 rooms. One large living room, and 3 bedrooms. There were separate bathrooms and toilets, as well as a kitchen, and one large training room, the size of a school gym. It was made in a completely different style. Thick concrete walls, a thick bare floor, a small tatami mat at the far end of the training room, several makiwaras, two punching bags, and a hardware corner that held a barbell with a set of weights and several different dumbbells. Kenshin did not know that a shinobi was required for training, but he believed that this equipment would be very useful for the first time, at least for himself.

The only thing that the system did not allow to create was electronics or any other technological things, so Kenshin built a "gas" stove vaguely similar to those that were in his home world, wanting in the future to draw the necessary formation for heating. The system created pipes, as well as a reservoir with water, but refused to heat this water, and Kenshin had to deal with it.

The reservoir from which the water was supplied filled itself, apparently from a mountain river, and was filtered by the system itself, eliminating the possibility of poisoning. The sewer drain went deep down.
