Chapter 1322 - 3

A Gaming Afterlife - Chapter 3 - HebisamaChapter 3: Chapter 3: BokuHero, not very academicNotes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

As I shatter the skull of a snarling Elf Spearman with my bare hands… ok, not bare, I have Engineer-crafted gauntlets that amplify my strength. And they have claws too. Retractable though, since right now it's all about that STR. Not any fancy Skill or martial arts, no, it was all about that STR.

Poor little Moonlit Forest dungeon, they are really getting it and it isn't pretty. More like Sofia-Smash! Ah well, that's what they are here for. All the wolves, bears, fairies, elves and forest spirits, all the monsters of this dungeon, are here for a singular purpose – to help me get stronger. But yeah, it isn't pretty. Maybe when I put Engineer back on tomorrow I could come up with some self-cleaning feature for my armor…

I smash my fist into a helmeted elite, getting another gory shower and a nice chunk of exp. I am getting close, I know I am getting close.

To what, one might ask. Well, that's easy - it's 131 STR. Why? Because apparently I can't read a quest properly – my quest of 'Surpass Kamui Woods' means just that, surpass, so all my getting excited when I got close to 130 STR was for nothing. It only made me feel like an idiot. So now, almost a whole Stat Point later, I am still waiting. But I was close…

So close…

So, so close…

Come on, System!

So…

Your STR has risen by 1

Theeeeere you go.

I kick off all the elves and jump up before activating my [Flight]. My Skill quickly gets me through the forest canopy and up to the clouds. From there it is a simple matter of getting out of the dungeon. It works in the air just fine, the only condition seems to be that I can't be in combat or too close to the enemy. The classic 'you cannot fast travel with enemies nearby'.

Once back in my Musutafu bedroom I grin and mentally thank the System for its great management of notifications. Really, the best – it knows when I want them up, like that STR measuring right now, and when not. Really, the perfect System.

+1 CHA

"Thanks, love"

:-)

"So, did I do it?"

Quest COMPLETE!

You have surpassed Kamui Woods in all pure base Stats

Award: 50 000 exp, 500 credits, Item [ Hashirama Cells]

My jaw drops and my eyes are immediately drawn to reward number three. Not that the two others aren't fine but 50.000 exp is a drop in the bucket now, I meant the next level requirement is in the millions range now. Credits are great but will become more relevant after I clear the World Quest. But the Item. That Item? Wow.

Almost tentatively I go into Inventory and select the [Hashirama Cells]. I confirm that yes, I do in fact want to use them.

Perk Received!

Senju Heir: You have the same kekkei genkai as the famed Senju Hashirama, the Mokuton

Oh my… I chuckle. Then I chuckle some more until it is a full-blow laugh. I have to restrain myself from singing, that hadn't gone over well last time, but damn! I can't believe it, I got the fucking mokuton, wood release, one of the two most OP blood-limits in all the Naruto anime and manga and its sequels and spin-offs.

Mokuton. Damn.

With Mokuton, Hashirama could restrain the Tailed Beasts, take out armies and control the entire battlefield, grow forests of the size of a country and be an absolute terror to fight! Not to mention the Perk is named Senju Heir, so it's not any of the Yamato's watered down version, this is Hashirama-level potential. That said, he achieved most of this potential by learning senjutsu too… Heck, if he could do it, I can do it too! With Gamer, I can do anything! Eventually.

Still, the Mokuton. I think that deserves some fangirling.

You done yet? I think the neighbors will come and complain about your yelling soon

"It's not yelling, it's celebrating!" I immediately protest but indeed stop 'celebrating' so much.

Right. I take it you like the reward?

"I love it! Druids, eat your hearts out! I got the fucking Mokuton!" I grin widely, "And I really love that you put it as a reward for surpassing Kamui Woods, that's really funny. Not that his little wooden constructs can hold the candle to Hashirama's. I mean, compared to the first Hokage, he's a cheap knock-off but a really fun association though. Kudos, System."

Thank you. I try

"Come on, tell me, you did it because you thought it would be funny too, right?"

Yep

"I really love you as my System"

You are quite tolerable for a Gamer

"Aw" I pout theatrically, "I thought we were buddies, partners! With all that CHA you keep feeding me, you must like me at least a little, right?"

A little

"Ha!"

The teeniest bit

My grin is back "I'll take it, thanks!"

Deciding to stop teasing the System, I go back to the glory of the Mokuton. This definitely deserves some attention and love in a dungeon. I have a plethora of Skills to make. Oh boy, I'm a bit excited – the dungeons kinda lost their appeal, they are repetitive and you really go there to grind and only grind. And that can be tedious. But now I have a whole new branch of Skills to master, see what I did there? And I still have the Brawler to MAX. I'm still level 41 there and I want to switch soon. Fortunately you can grow a Class through regular exp gaining too, although it isn't nearly as fast as by utilizing the special Class Skills. So win-win for trying out the Mokuton.

I think I'm going to try some stuff out on the goblins first and then go for the forest dungeon again. Seeing goblins squealing in terror when I grow a men-eating forest around them will be precious. Even funnier will be the elves - those pointy-eared bastards won't believe what is going on! Hilarious.

I will definitely have fun with that.

Which is a bit of a relief since I was getting bored. Not HotD level bored, but bored nonetheless. I'm still stoked about the Engineer, I love that despite me having it MAXed I can do so much stuff and so diverse stuff as well. The mini-quests that are my commissions are still interesting, and profitable, and my studies from books really advance everything - like my robotics Skill is really high and I have yet anything truly worthy in that field. Still, the rest has become a little bit monotone. Kaori is fun, but all that is too normal. Sure, the sex is great and the fact that she is hunting me with the police really spices things up for me, but… eh. You know? Normal. Ish. My serial-killer hobby deserves that –ish I think.

My nightly hunts are still pretty fun, but each night less and less. At first there was this big adrenaline jolt, but that has long since faded. Now it was a simple Skill/Stat collection with some sneaking around law-enforcement on the side.

Yeah, I think it's time I started to think about how to spice up my stay here. I thought to lay low and train, which I have done, but now I might go bigger and bolder. I mean, I just surpassed Kamui Woods and he is definitely one of the better heroes out there, even though he is still pretty new.

Now that I think on it, there are still months to go before the U.A. Entrance Exam – I might do something big there. Fuck with canon a bit? Make Musutafu see their vampire terror for the first time?

Yes, it's definitely the time to stretch my wings. But for that I need a plan – All Might is part of the faculty and the others are no slouches either. I already started to think about that but it kinda felt premature. Now that my timetable has been pushed up, I need something more definite.

I'm definitely ready to have fun again. But first, Mokuton.

Let's go impale some goblins.

I got all excited about having finally MAXed the Brawler that I actually forgot one really important thing – I have to chose a new Class now, and I'm pretty stumped. Sure, selecting a Class isn't that a big commitment at this point but it's still time and resources that could've been spent somewhere else if you choose wrong. Especially now that I kinda decided to accelerate my villain debut.

Nah, not debut, I got that through the news. The city is nicely primed and afraid of me, but it still doesn't know who me is. That is what I want to show. I want to show that I am even more terrifying in person than whatever they heard about me on the tv.

With all that in mind, I have to choose a Class that best suits that path. And boy, it's hard.

First I take a peek at the Fighter tab - last time I took Brawler which should mean I get two new Classes to replace that. That has been the trend so far. Only I find that I was wrong – I see three new classes instead of two.

[Knight] [Dueler] [Vanguard] [Defender] [Paladin] [Reaver] [Aerial Attacker]

Seeing the last one having a different font I easily pinpoint that as the odd man out. Plus the name is something new. I mean the Paladin is a classic, knightly type with some kind of holy magic, and Reaver I know as a kind of self-healing berserker, but Aerial Attacker? Never seen it. Sure, I can guess, but it is new.

For all that I was hyped about flying, Aerial Attacker is kind of disappointing. Especially since it is mean to be a 'special class', one that I have unlocked somehow. In this instance by having any flying Skill or own a flying mount. And finishing at least one Fighter-type Class, since this one hadn't appeared when I was looking at Brawler.

Aerial Attacker is DEX based, which I guess is nice, but doesn't really have anything much in the way of Skills. Instead it presents Perks which sounds great, but eh. I mean, being impervious to all fall damage is good but not revolutionary. Bonus to some Skills and Stats while in the air is definitely better but how often you use that. There are plenty of flying heroes but I'm sure I can handle them with other stuff.

Leaving the fighter tab I quickly check rogue and find nothing new. Then it is off to the mage tab, the one I will be most probably choosing from. All the Classes have INT as a Stat and I feel that is the most crucial Stat for me right now. The more INT I have, the more power I have in my attacks, strength in my shields, not to mention the Stat Check in the various mind domination Skills.

I know I can't beat the likes of All Might, here in BokuHero or in other worlds, but dominating them? I think I can do that. After my encounter with Kurogiri, the villain made completely out of smoke, I really doubled down on [Subjugation] – if I can't beat them or even attack them, then I'll fry their mind. It's a more abstract concept than brain. Like Kurogiri doesn't have a brain per se, but he does have a mind. And that I can crush. Boom, and he's not a danger to me anymore. I have already tested that on a civilian with a similar manifestation of his quirk and it went just fine.

So INT it is. But which way to go…

[ Elementalist ] [ Necromancer ] [ Healer ] [ Arcane Knight ] [ Druid ] [Summoner]

Elementalist is a classic and it would surely help me with leveling all those new Skills that I derived from the ones I stole. I now have all four of the main elements and I also have things a bit more esoteric, like light or darkness. A solid choice but it doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

Skipping over to Healer, I think that sooner or later I might take this, but right now… not the best choice for me. I'm a villain, and one that is pretending to be a vampire, what do I need healing for. I already have one basic Skill, I really love my stealing, but that is all I need right now.

Arcane Knight? Nah. Maybe later.

Druid is out because of the awesomeness of Mokuton. Druid might be cool but I'm already channeling Hashirama.

That leaves me with two Classes that feel a bit similar to me. Necromancer and Summoner. The Necromancer could be cool and really goes with my villain theme, but. Will it be applicable in the next world? Worlds? Do I want to spend my time traipsing through cemeteries collecting corpses? Because I checked, you do need the raw material, so to speak, to raise the dead in various forms. Not that Summoner is that much better – you don't need a corpse there but a 'soul sample'. But at least you only needed to collect that once. Also the Summoner is definitely a more friendly-looking Class.

Why am I dwelling of the two summoning classes? Because even at low level you can get pretty good results. Quantity has a quality all of its own. Even trash mobs can wreak havoc and be an excellent distraction. And that element of distraction is what makes me consider those two really seriously.

Attack or distraction?

Distraction or attack?

I mean, I already have the [Summon Wolf] I won off the Goblin King and it has definitely proven its worth. It's a fun mount to have but better yet, it is a decent tank. That said, I already have the [Summon Wolf], so do I need some more? Well, the Summoner promises more than a single wolf, it promises packs and herds and prides and… you get it.

Heck, I'll go for distraction. The INT I'll get out of it alone will up my attack power and the elemental Skills I can level any time. I prefer my Mind magic anyway.

So, Necromancer or Summoner. The Necro really goes with my character but I'm not that convinced. Sure, if the corpses from dungeons counted then of course it's necro. But they don't. Stingy Game. The materials for Summoner you collect just once and that is leagues better – and for my character I could go with bats, even those wolves might work. Look at Alucard from Hellsing, he definitely had canine aspects running around. Ok, more like hellhounds, but close enough.

Also, no one said I won't get a hellhound soul sample at some said no dungeons, but the Summoner didn't say anything on the matter…

It is that hope that makes me chose Summoner in the end. Please don't make me regret you, Summoner.

Class selected. Class equipped.

New Skills Acquired!

Collect Soul Sample (Active)[Level MAX] – Collects a 'blueprint' for future summonings. WARNING! Cannot be race, only animal or creature- 200 MP/use

Summon Animal (Active)[Level 1] – Summon the corresponding animal from its Soul Sample - 1000 MP/use + 50 MP/min

Soul Sample Acquired!

[ Wolf ] [ Falcon ]

I nod, looks good, but only time will tell.

With my new Class in mind I start on my checklist of thing to do with it. A trip to the zoo is a definite. A trip to the various dungeons is a definite too. If I were to guess, zombies are probably a no go – too necro. Goblins are probably a race which [Collect Soul Sample] does not permit. As are elves and probably fairies. Bears should be ok, maybe even that spirit-stag thing from the Forest dungeon too? Eh, I'll do a tour of all of them anyway.

Next on the list, try an actual summoning. See how does my Wolfy compare with the wolves. I peeked at the Skills tab and those two haven't merged, so it has to be some difference.

Your 'Wolfy' is a unique summon

"Unique how?" I frown.

You can summon only one at a time unlike the other wolves. He also has better Stats and a different appearance

"Huh" I hum. Then my frown returns, "Could I maybe rename the Skill?"

You can. Provided it 's not ridiculous

"Could you the change [Summon Wolf] to [Summon Wolfie]?"

I am floored by your naming skills.

Change accepted

I shrug "I already call Wolfie, Wolfie. I'm not renaming him now."

Well, at least it 's not Fenris, everybody has a Fenris

"Eh, it was considered. Along with Wolfgang, Moon Moon, …"

Wolfie it is!

"I knew you'd see it my way eventually"

Ugh

Back to my checklist. I gotta check if mass summoning is a different Skill or how to speed up the summoning if I want a pack. I also gotta check if I can Warg into the summons and if I can see through their eyes. Those two are different Skills, the warging is far more involved while the other is just a little peek. With the first I can control the animal, become the animal, while the second is far more impersonal. But both should be really useful even though it's not that combat oriented. Buuut if I can get a common animal like a dog or a cat, I could do some nice spying on the heroes… But nothing more exotic than those two, I think being a fly would be really psychedelic and I'm not sure even my Gamer Mind can handle it. That said, I am getting fly summons, because why not. Better to have it and not use it than need it and don't have it.

And locusts, I am totally getting locusts just for that fun biblical terror.

Heck, I'll be honest, I'll be taking everything. [Sin of Greed] anyone?

Considering my checklist complete, for the moment, I decide to go back to the dungeons first. Right from the first one, despite being pretty sure about zombies not working. You never know.

In a feat of excellent timing, my phone goes off. I keep it in Inventory, especially when I go into dungeons, but System is so wonderful that it makes me aware of it in a very comfortable manner.

I quickly retrieve the phone and note that it is my roommate "Hey. What's up?"

"Have you heard? Did Kaori-san say anything?"

"No and no?" I raise my eyebrows in confusion, "What's going on?"

"The police apparently has someone in custody, a suspect in the vampire killings!"

"What!"

"Yeah, it's on the news. The police though doesn't look all that happy about it being leaked out"

I hastily unequip my armor and sprint to the tv, turning it on and finding the news channel. But I am instantly disappointed when they say pretty much the same as Hisa – they have someone in custody and nothing else. No wonder Hisa fished for info I could've had from my girlfriend.

"If Kaori-san says anything, I really want to know" Hisa speaks up again once I finish listening to the blurb.

"You work at a hero agency, I think you'll have that info far sooner. If she calls or comes around, I'll ask but I'm not going to fish. She takes her job seriously"

"Spoil-sport. I've gotta go, I'm still at work. But if you get any info, definitely call me. Bye!"

"Bye" I say to the already hung up call. Not that I care, my mind is already spinning.

Well, one thing is for sure – my foray into the dungeons is postponed. I really want to know who is that guy they 'caught' and why do they think it's him, and most especially I want to know if this is a trap or not. I mean, messing with the police and kill their suspect in custody would be villain-appropriate.

Might as well try to work with my new class and do a little spying. Now, where would I get a mouse…

X

Turns out that policemen and women are really only people too, and people like to gossip. Which really works for me since I don't want to spy on the Taskforce itself, I feel like they must have some precautions in place, but the rank-and-file officers are fair game. I already know from which police station the Taskforce is operating thanks to Kaori. I found that ages ago, it seemed a smart move. So going Summoner for the first time, I nab a mouse 'soul sample' from a pet shop (I'm actually happy the Skill of collecting that soul leaves the animal alive), and try possessing her with my new [Warg].

I'm quite surprised just how well everything works, Summoner especially, and Minnie becomes my best spy girl. Nobody really pays attention to her among the normal officers and her hearing is pretty good too. Her sight is good too but she, thus I, sees color a bit differently but that is no trouble. The other senses take some time to get used to but after I learn to give Minnie more agency and only gently nudging, everything becomes rather simple.

So what do I learn from pure gossip? A lot. Like the suspect in my killings is a rather young man with a quirk 'Leech'. I know where he is being interrogated, I know where he will be temporarily held, and I know that the station is split on whether he'd done it or not. Apparently, leech boy confessed.

The gall!

I immediately want to correct that but I'm still worried about it being a trap. I mean, this is the perfect lure, no? Such a pity I can't use my [Telepathy] through a medium, like Minnie, I could simply check. I need Kaori for that. Or somehow get close enough.

But if it is not a trap… I'm gonna go in and fuck with the police a little. Embrace the drama that comes with so many vampire stories. Oh and fyi, I collected a bat soul sample, so pretty awesome avenue of distraction. Though I would prefer a clean kill that would leave everybody scratching their heads.

I think I can pull that off – over the course of my vampire career, and wow has it been only three months?, I collected some really nice Skills. Sure, many of those are attack-type but I have some very nice utility there too. Like my favorite, and MAXed, [Shadowport] that combines really well with shadow-manipulation Skills I developed from the same element. [Presence Concealment], another favorite that really gels with [Stealth], those two together are better than any run-of-the-mill invisibility. [Presence Detection] is essential for any good burglar or assassin. [Awareness] which I had System change to [Spidey Sense] – I have other Skills that let me detect stuff, but this is better, more visceral, and it is a passive so it's on all the time. And then there is this amazing burglar-type Skill, [Minimalization]. This one I stole from a fellow thief who had the bad luck of trying to steal the same thing as me one night. I took his Skill and chucked him into inventory. Nobody noticed. Anyway, like Mount Lady can grow to massive proportions, this Skill can do the opposite and shrink me. Like Ant-Man. Great form to hide in and get into hard-to-reach places. Good to partner with [Flight] or [Enhanced Movement] to speed things up.

And that are just the ones I stole, a lot of stealth stuff comes from Mind Mage and Engineer, even Assassin. I can make hallucinations – visual, auditory, heck I can even make a smell; do a 'force persuasion' – these are not the droids you are looking for; Assassin gives me various poisons and gasses with a variety of effects and Engineer gives me so. much. stuff. Like the EMP grenades and sensor mines, x-ray and infrared goggles, advanced hacking and unlocking devices. A lot.

Stealth build for the win.

I can do it. I will do it.

But first, I…

Quest Alert!

Leech the Leech

Deal with the impostor in police custody

Award: 100 000exp, 500 credits, ? , ?

… I'll ask Koari and determine if it's not a trap.

Ooops

"A little premature here, System" I chuckle.

Hence the ooops.

Nah, I 'll keep it. You're going to do it anyway, whatever the situation

I hum "That's probably a fair assessment, yes."

Well, that clinches it. I'm gonna kill leech boy, even if it is a trap. I still want to know if it is or not, keep that extra eye out.

Time to call my wonderfully heroic girlfriend.

… as expected, of course it will take her a little more time to pick up, she is busy after all… Finally! "Hey Kaori."

"Hi, sorry I'm a little rushed, it's madness over here"

"Yeah, I saw the news…"

"Fucking reporters"

I chuckle "So I wanted to ask if we are going to be celebrating?"

Kaori sighs "Not yet. Don't tell anyone but I have my doubts this is the guy. And even if he is, there is still so much work to do. Well, mostly for the police, but we pitch in too."

"Oh. Do you want to meet for a short coffee, somewhere near the precinct, to get away from it for a moment?" I ask, fingers crossed.

"Yeah, that would be actually really nice"

I execute a wild little dance that I am thankful no one but the System saw. "Great! I can meet you pretty much at any time, I'm just tinkering around today."

"I can do now if that suits?"

"Suits perfectly. Where do I pick you up, I know you're not really 'out' at work"

"Can we meet at the café? I'll text you the name, I don't remember it off-hand"

"No problem, I'll text you when I'm near"

"Thanks, I really need to get out of here for a little while"

"That's what I am here for" I smirk. Boy, this really went well. I just hope she'll be too busy to come over tonight, a proper vampire heist needs darkness after all. Eh, I can just put her to sleep with my powers and sneak out if that happens.

"You're the best. See you soon"

"See you"

I'm getting rather excited about my assassination plot, definitely no boring dungeon-delving. I totally have to do more stuff like this, I already have great Stats and even better Skills. But head in the game, let's nail this one first.

Making my way to the café Kaori indicated I can't help but grin. Kaori only raises an eyebrow at my good cheer but enjoys the exuberant hug despite the slightly scandalized citizens around us. Boo, conservative Japanese people. I should've made out with her right there and then. Kaori wouldn't have gone for it though and I do want to have her in a good mood so I can question her a little and fill in the blanks with [Telepathy].

"Hey"

"Hey" Kaori smiles a touch tiredly, a coffee already in front of her.

The waitress comes my way right away so I order something too before focusing on the Glaive Hero. "Though day, huh?"

"Yeah" Kaori sighs, "Can't really talk about it."

"I know" I smile disarmingly, "We don't need to. But if you're careful, you can rant. Then again, the weather is a bit chilly today."

The hero laughs loudly, a full-bellied laugh "Yeah, chilly indeed. You're right, it's stupid. So things at work aren't going all that well."

"How come?"

"I thought we'd get to finish a project today but I don't think we will"

I nod "You mentioned that on the phone. That sucks, but you'll get it soon. And maybe the things today can help move things along."

"Yeah, that is what I proposed too, use this failure to our advantage"

"Smart" I say approvingly, my [Telepathy] peering deeper. Huh, she actually was the first one to present the idea of a trap. My gf is really out to get me, fun. Anyway, it looks like the trap was only brought up since leech boy fell through, he was a serious suspect but the task-force is already sure about him being innocent. So they're using him as bait now.

"Heh, thanks"

"You think it'll work? I mean, if I were your 'competitor' I'd just leave it be. You know, hope you just waste time and let me do my thing longer"

Kaori frowns and slowly shakes her head "It's certainly an option, but people like that usually like to show off."

"You think he's a showoff?" I hum, actually quite interested.

"Staying in one town, even as big as this one isn't smart" the hero explains, "You only stay if you have something to prove."

"You're the expert" I hum acquiescently, "I hope it all works out. What do your colleagues think?"

"We're pinning a lot of hope on this one. I'm going to stay at work tonight, and tomorrow too. If we don't move along by then, we change strategies"

"Don't worry, it's gonna work out one way or the other, and I'll be giving you a big reward after. Not that I won't cheer you up in the meantime" I wink, enjoying the slight flush on the hero's face.

"Anyway" Kaori coughs, "Things are hectic now, everybody's arguing about what to do exactly, if we should involve the press, who's going where, stuff like that. It's exhausting."

"Huh, I would've thought you people were more… organized"

"We usually work in smaller groups, there is a lot of ego going around right now, so…"

"I get it" I nod, understanding perfectly, especially seeing it play in her mind. Still, a pity they don't have a definite plan yet, I could've used it. Ah well, I'll wing it with my vast array of Skills. Minnie is going to do some more recon work to get the layout and I'll see how things look around two, three o'clock.

"How was your day?" Kaori changes the topic, eyeing my newly arrived tea, deciding to go for another coffee for herself.

"Good actually" I grin, getting a new Class is always nice, "Got a new project in mind, pretty excited about it."

"What is it?" Kaori brightens up.

"Don't wanna say either" I make a little show of looking around, "Besides, this project can be a little sensitive so better to see if it's workable first. It should be though."

"I'm glad, you look excited about it"

"I am. Though I might get a little busier? I tend to really dive in when I think of new stuff" I smile sheepishly.

Kaori laughs "I get that, you should see me when I try to master a new move. I don't leave the gym until I am satisfied."

"That'd be hot to see" I smirk.

"Well, the is a lot of sweat"

"Hot" I mouth.

Kaori grins smugly "I'll keep that in mind. Maybe we could train together sometime?"

"Against someone of your caliber, nah. We can run together, I'm pretty confident there" I shrug, not wanting to show my true abilities.

"Alright, I'll take you up on that" Kaori acquiesces easily, "But be warned, I am known for my agility."

"Oh, I know" I smile lasciviously, "But I'm not just a nerdy engineer."

"Oh, I know" Kaori parrots in the same tone.

"Just be careful with your own project, yeah? I want to go on that run"

The hero sighs, her face falling a little, "Yeah, I figure I have to go back in a little while."

"Don't worry, I'll pay, you sprint off whenever you have to. But before that… huh, now that I think about it, it's weird Hisa isn't spamming me with texts"

"Oh, how many it's been so far?"

"Just one call" I hum, "She's the one that made me turn on the tv, I was tinkering."

"No surprise there" Kaori chuckles, "Takes a lot to tear you off from your projects. You have to admit you obsess a little."

"A lot actually" I shrug unrepentantly.

"Big of you to admit that"

"I know my faults" Yep, [Sin of Greed], I got it on my Profile black on white.

"Pity I don't have you on my team right now" Kaori makes a sour face, "Some people over there really need a reality check, that they really aren't god's gift to mankind."

"Some of those, huh" I commiserate, those people suck. Sure, I probably suck too but hey, I am Game's gift to the NPCs over here.

"Yeah, and I have to go talk to them again. Sorry, but I really have to go now"

"Go ahead. Good luck"

Kaori hesitates, clearly wanting to kiss me goodbye, but then she just gives me a quick hug and jogs away.

I settle back into my seat, enjoying my tea. When the waitress comes over again, I decide to order some ice-cream and do some spying right from here. I've got Minnie in my pocket already so it is a matter of nudging her to the police station. It's not about eavesdropping this time, it's about mapping out the layout. I sincerely hope they won't be moving leech boy for the night. I think they won't since that would defeat the purpose of the trap, but it is still an option.

Once more I lament the absence of a mini-map. Right now it would come in really handy.

'I got good Stats, they would need to really go all out right from the beginning and they'll try to catch me first. I mean the Taskforce has good heroes but they are no All Might or Endeavour.'

You're Lucky Endeavour did not take over the Taskforce

'Oh? Nice! He's an ass'

Strong though, and ruthless

'I know, I know. Thank Luck'

With the System as company I let Minnie do her job, jotting some notes onto my phone. I'm feeling pretty confident, a plan already formulated in my mind. Now it's just the matter of any additional measures and guards.

I leave Minnie in place, ordering her to hold tight, and I eventually head home. It would be suspicious to stay longer and besides, I want to see if I can build something for the heist. I don't have that much time but time enough. I'm thinking going about midnight – I think they're expecting me later, usually the best time for this is from 2am to 3.30am.

Better set an alarm, just in case. Can't miss it, right? After all, I am expected. It would be rude not to show up.

X

I don't like using [Minimalization] all that much, movement takes ages and everything is weird from this height. But it's an awesome infiltration tool. Really awesome – you don't trigger anything movement or weight related, to catch you on camera is super-hard, humans don't pick you up unless somehow really enhanced, and that is just the beginning. And for this particular quest? The best Skill to use to bypass most of the guards.

As an homage to Ant-Man, I have an ant mount – no need to waste my energy in the beginning. Time to move in.

Paradoxically, the atrium of the police station is my first destination – all the windows are shut tight and rigged from the inside. So front entrance it is.

Small as I am, I am confident nobody can take notice. I also have my [Observe] fired up and my [Spidey Sense] as a last resort. They only have normal officers and one hero here, a really big guy that is all about strength. There are several cameras but nothing really tight, it's an atrium for cryin' out loud. Still, I take the longer route and avoid all cameras, using my absolutely brilliant goggles that help me see the line of sight of the cameras – just like in a stealth video game. I'm loving it. And I am especially proud for making them, doubly so that they have a few more functions that will come in handy.

All right, first room cleared. The real challenge starts now.

The corridors are next, leading to the non-public area of the station. Mostly just cameras here and one or two watchful officers. That said, even though they aren't pro-heroes, they too have quirks and aren't anything to sneeze at.

Hank the ant is slowly but steadily carrying me forward, meanwhile I do some more recon with all the Skills that I have at my disposal. [Telepathy] is once again really useful, helping me avoid a tech-savvy pro-hero that lays in wait. He would've not picked up on me but better be safe than sorry.

I abandon Hank when I reach the stairs. I would've loved to use the elevator shaft but the doors to the levels are really tight. Instead I head to the stairs, flying up to the ceiling because of more cameras but more importantly a rather clever chameleon pro-hero waiting for me on the mezzanine. This girl has goggles similar to mine, looking in infra-red for any intruder. Too bad for her that I am doing a mosquito impersonation and easily fly over her head.

Down two levels, completely ignoring the small huddle of heroes on level B1 – the police has part of their car park there which means it's another exit/entrance. Fun fact, Kaori is stationed there, I'm guessing because she needs a little more space to fight in at her best. There is another hero there with a pretty good awareness quirk but it only works one room at a time so he's a non-entity for me.

Finally the cells, here I actually have to do some more thinking, and working. Four heroes here, two right next to the stairs and two at the cell where my objective is. I already confirmed that the good guys did not pull a switcheroo, which kind of surprised me. I would've tried to use a shape-shifter to take his place or something along those lines. But they didn't. Leech boy is there.

I could probably just go around the two forward guards but I don't want to leave anything to chance. Using [Force Persuasion], god I love Mind Mage, I suggest to them that everything is completely fine. Naturally they don't question it, they can't see me so it's easy. Plus neither has a higher INT than me so suck it Stat Checks.

Cameras here are tight but my ceiling run is pretty safe. The true challenge of tonight will be the cell. Two hero guards, leech-boy himself, and a forcefield adding to the bars making the entrance air-tight. Well, not air tight, leech boy can breathe, but tight enough that I can't pass in this form.

I'll have to grow anyway to disable the force-field. Especially since that force-field is connected to an alarm. I have a nice device to bypass that forcefield but I'll have to fiddle with it on the spot to avoid that means the two heroes need to be neutralized.

There are two heroes, a man and a girl. The man can make barriers using his spit (eeeew) and the girl is some kind of werewolf with a physique to match. And senses. Her sense of smell is apparently amazing according to my [Observe] but it should go ok since I got a full armor on. So just metal and rubber and nothing really organic. But yeah, she's a threat.

I swap [Force Persuasion] for [Hallucination] which holds better. The first one is just for small stuff and the target can still overpower it if enough suspicious activity is going on, [Hallucination] is more controlled and far stronger. And right now I am making werewolf girl ignore my smell, just in case.

So, what now. I've got a camera pointed at the cell and the two goons.

Well, camera first for sure. I land on it, getting a nice vintage point of my objective. The two heroes are pretty relaxed, wolf-girl doesn't seem to suspect anything, and leech-boy is in the well-lit cell looking exhausted and a little frightened.

Wait, well-lit cell. With a bed in it. Under which bed is a shadow. Did I just find a short-cut?

I [Observe] the cell, particularly the force-field device. There isn't any nullification technology on it. Besides, my Skills aren't quirks so maybe that wouldn't work either.

Yeah, I'll be going for it. Looks like I over-thought the forcefield. So, my only problem is the camera since [Force Persuasion] should be just enough for the heroes to ignore the little noise I might make when dealing with leech-boy.

I've got just the thing but there is a slight problem – anything I take out of my Inventory is as small as I am and it doesn't grow. I want to freeze the camera, getting the image stuck in that one shot but I don't think I have enough power for it. Looks like I'll have to sacrifice my prototype amplifier.

Or… I mean, there isn't any reason why I couldn't just collect my stuff on the way back. I don't need to self-destruct it. That might actually be a small trace for the heroes. I really want them to be absolutely gob smacked on how I'd done it. Sure, I could've just razed this entire station to the ground but that would've been too easy. This is classy and way harder.

Ok, Inventory, just like we practiced.

Like in my experiments, my gear comes out bite-sized and I gently affix everything to the camera. I'll have to activate it here since I might not have enough range on my trigger from inside the cell. Also, the force-field dampens the signal too.

Aaaand now! I've got about a minute before anyone watching the cameras notices the weirdness of the guards or the leech not moving an inch.

[Shadowport] goes off without a hitch. Still in my small form I fly behind the leech and cast once more, this time it's [Mind Thief]. Good thing Skills don't lose power when I'm like this.

Leech-boy's quirk is predictably 'leech', and that left him with a very unfortunate mouth and teeth. His ability is to drink blood and inject a paralytic at very impressive speeds if you take into account how much time that actually takes via conventional methods. Nothing else - the blood for him is nothing but food, which I guess is interesting on its own. I'm still taking the Skill, if Luck lets me, it will help sell my vampire character when I do my public debut.

New Skill Acquired!

Blood Drain (Active)[Level 1] – Enables draining and eating blood like a leech- 100 MP/sec, applies [Weakened], target dies after 50% of blood volume drained.

Awesome!

Leech boy starts to crumple down, his life already drained with the Skill, so I have to catch him quickly. I grow into my normal size and grab onto him.

The heroes did not notice a thing. [Force Persuasion] for the win.

I use my brand new Skill and start to drain his blood via a very dramatic bite in his jugular. I'll have to disinfect that after, no DNA left behind.

Blood is surprisingly tasty but I'm attributing that to the Skill. When my meal is almost done I stop and clean the neck thoroughly. With [Telekinesis] I pump the remaining blood and use it for two things. One is smearing it on the clean neck for effect, and two, leave something behind for the heroes.

Depositing leech boy onto his bed I shrink back down and [Shadowport] under the camera. I quickly fly up and turn off my devices, hoping nobody noticed anything during the short time they were active.

Sitting comfortably on the camera I peer down to admire my handiwork.

The two heroes are nice and relaxed, utterly oblivious to the corpse a meter behind them. They will look really dumb when they finally notice the bright red writing of ' thanks for the meal' I wrote on the back wall of the cell.

+1 CHA

I like your style

'Hah! Thanks, System!'

But enough of admiring my handiwork, it's time to leave.

In my nice and compact insect form I just fly out the same way I flew in. Still careful, of course, but yeah, a bit more relaxed. Really, I was only having this good of a run only because I have an amazing Mana capacity, I mean, my small form is expensive. Sure, getting cheaper with every level but it is still noticeable. But it looks like I'll manage everything without needing to touch any of my Mana potions I got in my Inventory.

A few meters more. A bit more… and clear!

I swallow my laugh and I keep flying, keeping an eye on my Mana. Only when I am a good way away I regain my normal vampire form. I won't change back until later. Taking a little breather, letting my Mana regenerate a little, I finally let myself grin.

Quest Complete!

Leech the Leech

You dealt with the impostor in police custody

Award: 100 000 exp, 500 credits, Race Change: [ Vampire ] , Item: [Impaling Spear]

The usual rewards are always nice to see but it is the special ones hidden behind the question marks that get the most love. And this time I got two.

[Race Change: Vampire] is a fun one to be sure, but I'm not using that anytime soon. Though I guess it would be pretty funny to go to the Twilight world and show them what a true Dracula-like vampire can do.

'System?'

Yes?

'That race change is one-way only or you can switch between what I have?'

You can switch it around, like a Class or a Title

'That's great, thanks'

Huh, I might try it in that case. Make Maledicta a real vampire. But then again, real vampires have far too many known weaknesses. I'll have to check.

Anyway, reward number two, the [Impaling Spear]. Nice throwback to Vlad the Impaler, System.

:-)

I [Observe] my new weapon and can't help but think that I have seen its properties somewhere before… It's a short-ish spear, light-blue with a very comfortable texture all around for a perfect grip, but her properties are pretty awesome. The spear can elongate itself on command and retract as well, presumably at phenomenal speeds. Which makes it an extremely versatile weapon and a hidden ace. Nobody will expect the short weapon to suddenly shoot out and impale you. Very cool. Very cool indeed.

Huh, will have to raise my [Polearms Proficiency] up, I have that at level 15 right now.

HA! I got it! I remember where I saw that spear before! Well, it was a sword, but the properties are the same. It's the sword of Ichimaru Gin from Bleach! An awesome villain/anti-hero. I really liked him. A good reward.

But enough dawdling, I'm kinda tired and it's time to go home.

Still, I can't wait to hear from Kaori about the heroes' reaction. But that is for tomorrow. Well, later today.

I really hope the press gets the wind of what I'd done.

Shoot, I should've taken a photo myself and maybe leak it. Oh well, the press must have an informant inside the police or the Taskforce anyway. We'll see tomorrow. Today.

"…drop the ball as their primary suspect, Watanabe Shinichiro, is killed in custody. The vampire killer struck again, leaving behind a taunting message. Please be advised, this picture might be a little gruesome for younger viewers."

Really? I though it rather clean? And they literally just show the empty cell, no body, with the message. Wow, this news channel really has some connections to get it.

"We eagerly await the spokesman of either the police or the pro-heroes explaining this failure to not only protect a suspect but also not catching the true perpetrator as he or she walked right into their house."

"What will it take to…"

My phone ringing interrupts the newscasters. I don't mind, my ego is already well-stroked. I too only wait for a spokesperson to say something about me.

"Hey, Kaori" I greet, forcefully showing all my pride and happiness down and out of my voice.

"You hear the news this time?"

"Yeah, it's on right now actually"

"Great" Kaori growls, "Fucking vultures. But I guess they aren't wrong, we fucked up. Anyway, I wanted to ask if you're free tonight, I'd really like to come over."

"You won't be at work?" I blink, surprised.

"No" Kaori replies bitterly, "We are under investigation. We already had round one of interrogations and they'll continue tomorrow. But we're free to go home."

"Of course you can come. Even right now if you want"

"I'll be free in about an hour, that ok?"

"Yep. Just ring the bell"

"Thanks. Really. See you soon"

"Bye"

I put down the phone and refocus on the tv. All the shit they're shoveling at the police and the pro-heroes involved is rather impressive. Poor Kaori.

My grin belays my thoughts. She'll recover, she isn't even mentioned by name.

I laugh again, damn I am really proud of myself. I crushed it yesterday and I had so much fun doing it too. Yep, Maledicta will definitely make another appearance, one even more dramatic than this one.

The hour, or what time it takes, really flies and I hear the doorbell.

"Hey, Kaori"

"Hey, Sofia" the hero greets back sullenly, a storm on her face.

Normally this would be the perfect time to break out the ice-cream but I kinda have a different agenda. I blame Hisa, my roommate called to discuss the vampire killer and she really hyped me up. I'm practically busting with pride and… that makes me horny.

Kaori is really surprised when I push her against the barely closed door. But hey, it's better to get some endorphins in her so she doesn't mope all evening.

I zero right at Kaori's very delectable collarbone, the off duty shirt she has on showcasing it extremely well. Letting my lips roam up there my hands find her neck, sides, back, hips and eventually her ass. She's wonderfully warm and even more responsive. Soon that is not enough, I want more to explore so I unbutton the pale blue shirt. Finding the surprisingly lacy bra underneath I leave the shirt on, liking the picture in its entirety even as I go back up to give some attention to the hero's lips. Kaori lets out a quiet whine before I stifle it. In response her left hand buries itself into my hair as the other one circles my neck, trying to bring me closer even though there is no space between us. I'm normally not one for rush and frenzy, liking taking my time and tease, but with the rush of victory over the heroes I want to achieve that victory anew, even over this one lone hero.

As soon as Kaori bring us one of her rather muscled hero legs over my hip I decide not to risk my HP and decide to exercise that STR of mine by picking her up and walking us the short way to the sofa. Make a show of being fatigued by the action but that doesn't stop me from pinning her down again.

My aggressive approach is clearly working for Kaori but in a very misguided attempt she tries to assert herself by rolling us over. Can't have that, tonight she's going to stay down and take it. And then take my direction on how to best please me.

A moan seals the tacit agreement and Kaori's body loses most of its lingering tension, surrendering onto me. I revel in it, the big bad hero freely giving power to a villain, one that bested her once already tonight.

I can't resist marking this occasion, taking off her bra my teeth lightly but firmly close over the skin of her side. Not quite breast but close enough. I grin when I note the red impression.

"Sofia" Kaori keens desperately, pain for pain as her nails bite into my back in revenge.

Much more softly this time I move my lips and teeth to work on the nipple on the other side of the bite, lavishing it with attention.

This time Kaori whines in protest, I know well that she prefers the harshness of before. To both her surprise and my own I oblige, my impatience making itself known again. Already the pads of my fingers trail over the well-defined abs of the melee-oriented hero, their destination rather obvious.

"Please" Kaori claws at my back again, face flush and pupils wide, "Please, please, please!"

The begging elicits a delightful shiver, Gamer body or no. I make quick work of the jeans that stand in my way, Kaori eagerly helping me. Soon my fingers can go further south than before, swiping though copious wetness, making Kaori dig into my back once again. To the hero's vocal approval I dive right in, one digit to start. One becomes two after a single thrust, Kaori more than ready enough. Two turn into three, I have a point to prove.

Kaori welcomes the pace I set but I want more, I want to push her to her limit.

The hero takes it so beautifully, the flush on her face deepening and pupils wide enough to make her eyes look black. The visual is exquisite but I indulge in softness instead, returning my mouth to Kaori's rather generous tits. Such a pity she usually binds them firmly when in costume.

"Come… on…, please" Kaori whimpers, tugging at my hair, her leg urging me as well.

I enjoy her rhythm for a little bit more and then decide to oblige her, after all this is only round one. And I'm not settling just for one today. Perhaps the next one could be with me riding her face?

Suddenly excited for my turn I release Kaori's stiff nipple from my lips and with a grin I shuffle down to engage my mouth in a different manner. The first contact of my tongue on her so-far mostly neglected clit makes the hero buck. I bring my unoccupied hand over her hips with a taunting chuckle.

From there it only takes a few swipes of my tongue, and here I was looking forward to increasing my tempo and to suck harshly just how she likes.

Kaori's body goes from all-encompassing tension to boneless heap, a rather demented smile making its way on her lips. I draw myself up, sitting on the hero's stomach, waiting for her to come around. When Kaori looks coherent enough, and about to speak, I make my intentions clear by going further up.

This time it's Kaori's time to grin, eagerly urging me to complete my journey. Time for my treat, not that having a well-regarded hero quivering before me is any less of a treat.

Kaori is truly skilled in this department and I let myself grin widely and oh so smugly now that she can't see me. I would love to let out a truly villainous laugh, like the ones from Sunday morning cartoons of old, but the hero is not distracted enough for that. Pity.

Ah well, I'll just enjoy this instead.

Mhm. Enjoy it indeed.

Summoner proved to be a good decision in the end, if only for that INT points it gives me, especially since it levels so fast. I credit my Mana reserve and regen for that – if I started on Summoner then I'd get tired quickly but right now, at more than 6M of Mana, it's a breeze. I can have up and running multiple summons and keep them around me for ages, all that slowly but surely adding Class exp. I keep my summons running around me in the dungeon but also at the apartment. Sure, I limit myself to small animal summons there despite giving less exp than the bigger ones, but that is just common sense.

So, only four days after choosing my new Class, I'm already level 18 in it. And since every level of Summoner gives me 2 INT and 1 CHA, my most precious Stat skyrockets again and is now over 300. Amazing, right? More than three hundred in INT, that really packs a punch as far as all spells are considered. No Perk though. Sad face.

At least WIS, now freshly over 200, got me the [Mana Surge] Perk. An absolutely brilliant thing that instantly restores my MP gauge should it hit 0 by 1/1000 of my overall MP. A good save that would help me get off one last attack. Plus, the better my overall MP, the better this emergency boost.

I sincerely hope the same will happen for my HP when I get enough VIT. That would be a lifesaver. Literally.

The Wisdom Perk did cheer me up from the slight disappointment at 200 DEX where I got a small and simple boost to my overall speed. Not that that is bad, no way, I just expected something cooler.

And I'm also kinda curious what the threshold in STR will bring, not that I expect to get it anytime soon. I'd need another STR Class for that which right now isn't the priority. Oh, I have some Stat Stones in that I can use. Eh, we'll see how it goes first.

Aaaaanyway.

While all of Musutafu is still stuck on the vampire murders and the death of leech boy, I've already moved on. What to do next in my villain persona is still undecided so I once again concentrate on my engineer work, both for sale and for me, and delving into the dungeons. I'm so over the Moonlit Forest but it still is the highest-yielding exp dungeon. At least I got around to finishing it, slaying the King of the Forest, another stag with really cool lightening magic.

Which reminds me, I got a gacha out of him which I didn't spin, opting to take a nap instead.

"System, be so kind"

Item Acquired!

Skill Book [ Form IV: Ataru ]

The Star Wars sword style? Cool! Surely it can be adapted to normal swords rather than lightsabers, so yeah, that's a nice reward to pull. I'm interested to see how that jives with the plain old vanilla [Sword Proficiency]. Maybe this is an Active Skill? I'll test that in a dungeon.

So that's the gacha which is only the first of my rewards. I still got a regular reward for killing that king. The first regular reward was actually a [Hide Vest] with a pretty respectable 35% resistance to magic, the second was an [Antler Bow] which is really good if you're into bows, something I am not all that much, and then reward number three – an [Elven Amulet] that boosts CHA and LCK by 10. Always useful that I guess. Though now I'm curious – if I put together all three dungeons I've got open, then I obtained a boost to every Stat. [Knight's Ring] boosts STR and VIT, [Bone Circlet] for INT and WIS and now the Amulet for CHA and LCK. So, what will that mean for dungeon number four? Hopefully something great.

So, all in all, a good haul but nothing groundbreaking. Still, the forest is a good exp farm, especially now that I have both Summoner and Mokuton. I can literally sit down on a stump at spawn point and let my friends do the rest, herding my enemies into the waiting jaws of my various Mokuton Skills. And if any enemy by some miracle makes it to me, I just impale him with my new spear, not needing to get up in the least.

At least that is today's plan. Just farming, hoping to raise my level.

To be perfectly honest, I have one more tactics in mind, but that somehow feels dirty. I mean, using my summons to carry out explosives throughout the entire dungeon and detonate them? That is some mean thinking.

Which naturally means I'm doing it. It won't help leveling my Skills but it will get me really quick exp.

Yeah, thank Game the dungeons reset after each use.

Or maybe I could do some orbital bombardment? Nah, my [Flight] is already MAXed, I'll use my summons.

Come forth, my darlings, let's destroy this forest.

+1 INT

It 's a smart plan but I don't like it. Cheater.

"Hey, if it works…"

Enemies spawn as you go so don 't expect that a big of a harvest

"Really? Is that new or did you just add it to mess with my plan?"

"Gee, thanks"

I did not add the elves that snipe anything suspicious such as animal carrying odd packages around

"My kamikaze summons will take them out"

One word: snipers

"Eh, we'll see how they do"

True

"Come to think of it…"

Another weapon of mass destruction?

Ignoring the bitter undertone of the System, I grin "Yes actually."

What abomination have you thought of now?

I gasp "Moi? Abomination is a strong word, I'm a Gamer."

Same difference

"True enough. Anyway, I was thinking Naruto. Amaterasu to be precise"

"The undying fire. It destroys everything and can't be extinguished by normal means Or fiendfire, that works too"

Gamers are a really destructive breed

"Like it's not in the gacha reservoir somewhere"

it is

"See, it's some pretty fire"

Have fun working it out

I frown "I have plenty of fire spells, it can't be that hard. Right?"

With System not responding, or ignoring me, I set to the task. My summons are making progress and they have their orders, so I don't have to pay much attention to them. I can concentrate on making an undying flame.

What do normal flame spells feed on. Easy, Mana, no other fuel needed, just good old oxygen in the air. So how to make it not need Mana aside the starter cost. Amaterasu is theoretically divine in origin, and stuff like hellfire is demonic or something along those lines. Those two categories can bullshit. How to do it without bullshitting.

I guess brute-forcing it is an option. Just feed it so much Mana at the beginning that is can burn for a looong time. Hardly undying though.

Hm.

Hmm.

Hmmm.

Not easy, huh

Brute force it is. I can make another, better, later. When I figure it out.

Heh, heh, heh

Come on napalm, come on greek fire. Which base did those two have? Think, you learned that in school once upon a time.

You have created a new skill!

Fool's Fire (Active)[Level 1] – An irrationally strong and wasteful fire that cannot be put out by normal means and burns for a full day – 5.000.000 MP/use, 10.000 dmg/sec

"5 million? Very funny, System"

Heh, Heh, Heh

I'm so taking Alchemist soon and making Wildfire or something. This cannot stand.

Now that is a good idea

I'm still casting [Fool's Fire] on my next dungeon run. Which is going to come soon.

Let's detonate the Moonlit Forest!

The noise is deafening and the lightshow really impressive. And the remaining forest catches fire anyway.

"Pretty good, huh, System?" I ask, trying not to let my smugness show.

+ 990 000 exp

Huh, that is a lot less than my usual run. But it was done in a fraction of the time. I think that went really well actually. Wait…

"No drops?"

No

"Not even the usual potions and stuff?

No

"Alright" I sigh in resignation. Well, no big loss. The exp is what today it's all about anyway. Though the Stat Stones are really handy. Not that I have used any outside of the Luck ones so far… And the elves here actually drop good arrows and even a bow or two. Ah, well. Still worth it.

[ID Escape]

The image of the charred forest shatters and I'm back in my apartment. But this time, there is no time to rest. I've got a point to prove.

[ID Create: Moonlit Forest]

Are you going to…

"Fool's Fire!"

You are

"MweheheheheehehahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Moron

I observe my handiwork with glee. Well worth the Mana Points, even if it's a million. A million, really.

Perk [Pyromaniac] acquired

Pyromaniac: +15% damage to all fire-related Skills

"I knew you liked me!"

Don 't. Just don't

"I looooooove you too!"

Moron

You know that feeling when you plan to do something but then someone tells you to do it and you get kinda angry and you really want to be contrary?

Yeah, so Tomura from the League of Villains called, bastard, and asked me to pretty please do a distraction for him. Now, a week and change after my assassination of leech boy, I have been planning my first public appearance soon, but I'm still a little pissed off.

I really don't like being told what to do. But… I have been planning to do it anyway and it will get him off my back for a while. Plus I'm definitely stealing Kurogiri's quirk at some point so revenge will be served.

So, right now I have about two days to finalize my plan. Tomura just said 'soon', so this is my timetable. If he had set the time I'd have told him to fuck off, so good move on his part.

I still have only vague outline of my plan but there is one thing I know for sure - I'm going to face some pro-heroes so I gotta be sure I'm up to it.

Awesome, right? But is it awesome enough? Everything tells me that yeah, this is mighty impressive, but against the top heroes? Kaori said that the faculty of U.A. has promised to lend a hand, Best Jeanist took the vampire personally, and that it has been hinted that even All Might could make an appearance.

I'm good, but this is not All Might ready. I mean, I could probably kill him… We'll see who shows up at my debut. I don't want that A-rank just yet. Right now I'm aiming for a B, though I'm not really sure how the ranking works. Even Kaori couldn't be specific, said it's just decided by the top pro-heroes.

Still, going against such good enemies gets my blood pumping. I kept my [Battle Lust] on a tight leash but with an opportunity like this… Yeah, I'm excited.

Excited but not stupid. I have some of those Stat Stones just sitting in my Inventory, but now I think it's the time to use them. I saved them up so that I have an easier time leveling those Stats the old-fashioned way, but the gains are quite slow now. Still good with all that effort I'm putting in, but nothing like they have been before. Thank Game for the Class system.

Opening my Inventory I scroll to the 'Boosts Tab'. I've got five STR stones, two VIT stones, four DEX, four INT, eight WIS, one CHA and one LCK. At this point in time, I have no regret using them. I also have a lot of Stat Points, gaining five every player level, but those I will save. Except those four to round up my LCK again.

No, let's see.

Available Stat Points – 115

Every little bit helps. At those high numbers, points like this are precious and save so much time and effort. And I instantly feel calmer when I see those SP right at the bottom. It's an emergency reserve, one I can use to boost any Stat by more than a hundred points should I need it. Put those in DEX and with the massive acceleration I get I could flee from almost anything, especially if they think they know my limits already. Or put those points into INT for one attack of epic proportions to get enemies off my back.

And let's not forget, I've got that nifty Villain title, so against heroes I'm even stronger.

Still, this is still subject to change since I'm not sure what equipment I'll use. For example the choice for the mission's head gear is between my amazing goggles, [Thief's Cowl], my Mark VIII helmet or the [Bone Circlet]. Choices, choices.

Maybe I could build something new too, I've got two days. That said, I've got an eye on an amazing vampire-like quirk I really want to complete my character – mist form. The quirk allows its owner to make his body dissolve into mist, move around, and coalesce again. So vampiric, I want it.

Yeah, that is the plan for tonight. Since I was dungeoning for a bit, and working on my engineering projects, I let Maledicta rest for a little. If a single kill after leech-boy is considered such. The Skill I got was [Automatic Reload], not exactly what I was going for but great to have if I get around to using guns – instant bullet creation in the chamber is no joke. Fun fact, the man I got it from was a cop so the force is absolutely furious. I did show them that not only they can't catch me, or protect people in custody, but also that they can't protect themselves.

I kinda wanted to have another Class to take on the heroes but I'll just be switching back to Mind Mage. Summoner levels fast, especially now that I figured out how to boost my summons, making them stronger, faster, more durable and ferocious. And let me tell you, nobody can really stop an angry speeding rhino that doesn't care about being injured – the look on the dungeon's elves' faces was hilarious. Can dungeon monsters piss themselves?

But there will be no rhino in my vampire attack. No, definitely something better.

Hmmmm.

Points spent on Luck are never wasted. Really, can't stress that enough. Definitely bringing that up to 50 when I get out of this World and into the next. Anyway, my delicious Luck has brought me an idea for my debut and outlined my evil plan. How so? Well, Hisa mentioned that apparently her boss is going to be out of town for a little while because of some expo.

With Ryukyu, the number nine hero, out, and me knowing Hisa's coworkers and many of the side-kicks, as well as the layout of the building… You can see where my mind went. Oh yeah, I will be assaulting a Hero Agency!

Which means, I'm definitely going for this:
