"This isn't my first life, Lily. I was shot by the police after I raped sixteen women and killed over thirty. I was a serial killer and a rapist in my past life," Ava confessed.
"You raped women? Does that mean you were a man in your past life?" Lily pressed.
"Yes, and to this day, I still can't forget the fact that I used to have a dick," Ava commented.
"Wait, you're saying this to the two of us, but you still haven't given us any proof that you're actually an otherworlder," Kaela remarked.
"Well, it's up to you girls to decide if you believe me or not. I'm not forcing you to believe me," Ava exclaimed.
As the sky began to darken, Lily was thrown back into her cell along with the others. She got bruised by the impact, as did the others.
"Are you okay, Lily?" Ava asked.
"I'm fine, thanks," Lily responded.
"You two actually got close together very easily, huh?" Kaela replied.
"I guess so," Lily replied back.
"Can I join your bond?" Kaela asked.
Lily answered silently, and Kaela replied, "I'll take that as a yes."
"Don't worry, Kaela. Lily is just missing some brain cells, that's all. She probably didn't understand what you just said," Ava exclaimed.
"That's very unlikely for me to have lost some brain cells, but maybe I did," Lily retorted.
"You girls do understand better than I do, that despite keeping your smile up, it's all sadness in the end," a boy who was chained with them commented.
"Mark, don't press them with your own problems," another boy chained with them added.
"Shut up, Khyle. This is none of your business," Mark retorted.
"You want a fight, bitch?" Khyle snapped.
"Are you showing off to these girls?" Mark asked.
"The two of you, stop this charade already!" Kaela exclaimed.
"Kaela, stay out of this. I don't want you to get involved!" Mark shouted.
"Don't act so caring in front of my sister now, since note this: I'm never giving her to you," Khyle blurted out.
"I don't need your approval to win her heart," Mark remarked.
"Oh yes, you do, unless you want me to crack your head open," Khyle threatened.
"THIS IS ENOUGH, THE TWO OF YOU!" Kaela yelled.
The two boys fell silent as they received strong slaps from Kaela, who was now in tears.
"Stop this already, the two of you!" Kaela exclaimed.
They both went silent, shifting their attention towards Kaela, feeling a flush of guilt forming within their veins.
"It seems like you two don't understand how someone feels when they're being fought over!" Kaela continued.
"Over and over, I've thought of ways to stand out to you both, how I would face the three of you without the two of you fighting!"
"I'm in tears, looking for a getaway, not wanting to get involved in both of your problems despite knowing I was the cause."
"I keep thinking inside my mind if it would be better if I were gone so the two of you could just stop fighting. Am I a burden? Am I a mistake?"
"These thoughts keep leaving me with suicidal suggestions as I try to avoid choices that could hurt you guys along with me."
"Over time, I get scared and broken, hearing the two of you yell at each other because of me, thinking and wishing it would stop one day."
"But it never did. To this day, you two keep fighting, knowing you've both already hurt me physically and mentally," Kaela concluded.
"When did he hurt you physically, Kaela?" Khyle questioned.
"One time, at the mine, Mark pulled me away from you, and you threw a rock at him," Kaela started.
"Then it began: the two of you constantly throwing rocks at each other. One of your rocks hit me in the head, and I fell unconscious."
"Of course, neither of you noticed because you were both busy fighting, until I woke up and saw blood dripping from my head."
"I immediately patched it so neither of you would realize that one of you hurt me and start fighting more violently, blaming each other," Kaela ended.
"Tsk, so you hurt him physically, Khyle?" Mark blurted out.
"One time, Mark, you pulled out a knife that you somehow managed to steal from one of the guards and attempted to strike Khyle in the chest with it," Kaela started.
"As you charged at him, attempting to stab him, I—"
"What's with all this yelling in this cell?" a guard blurted out as he opened their cell.
The guard gazed at Kaela and grinned. "So you were the one yelling this late at night? I think you deserve a punishment."
"N-No," Kaela pleaded.
Kaela was grabbed by her hair as the human dragged her out of the cell.
"LET HER GO!" Khyle shouted. "YEAH, LET HER GO! WE BOTH WERE THE ONES WHO CAUSED THIS NOISE!"
"What? Don't blame it on me! You two caused all of it!" Mark retorted, his voice trembling.
"What do you think you're doing, man?" Khyle questioned angrily.
"What are you talking about, bro?" Mark exclaimed, trying to act innocent.
Kaela was left stunned by what Mark said, while Lily and Ava remained silent in the corner of the cell.
"DON'T ACT ALL DUMB NOW, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Khyle blurted out, grabbing Mark by the collar and pressing him against the wall.
"I'm scared, bro. Please let me go. I don't want to get involved in her problems," Mark pleaded quietly, fear evident in his eyes.
"Don't 'bro' me. I thought you wanted Kaela as a bride, and now you'll let her virginity be taken by a human we hate? You really are a trash husband for her, just as I thought," Khyle whispered violently.
"All this time, we've broken her by fighting. Our always topic and reason for fighting is because you keep flirting with her."
"And I, as a protective brother, despise it. I don't want you to become her husband because of this exactly. A good husband will sacrifice his entire life just for his wife, YOU HEAR ME?" Khyle concluded.
"Let me go, bro. If you want to help her, then do it yourself. I just want to be safe," Mark commented, afraid.
Khyle sighed and then punched Mark in the face, followed by a kick to the chest and a headbutt that made Mark fall to the ground, bleeding from his head.
"Don't ever interact with my sister again," Khyle said as he turned his gaze back to the human.
"I like that. I like to see SLAVES FIGHT EACH OTHER BECAUSE OF US! AHAHAHAHAH!" The human laughed maniacally.
"Sir, if you don't mind, could I take all the punishment that Kaela is about to experience?" Khyle replied ominously.
"Big brother, d—don't!" Kaela pleaded.
"Sorry, boy, but you cannot provide my sexual desires. Though you can be a very masochistic child for me, AHAHAHAHAHA! I want to see you dance as I continuously whip you, AHAHAHAHAHA!" the man exclaimed maniacally.
"Understood, sir," Khyle accepted.
"Big brother, please. This is my fault for yelling. DON'T ACCEPT MY FREAKING PUNISHMENT, YOU IDIOT!" Kaela yelled out.
"Kaela, also, DON'T FUCKING INTERACT WITH MARK EVER AGAIN, CAUSE IF YOU DO, YOU'RE GONNA FUCKING DISAPPOINT ME." Khyle blurted out.
Kaela was thrown back inside the cell as Khyle was taken out. Mark ran towards Kaela to see if she was okay.
"Are you okay, Kaela?" Mark exclaimed, attempting to hug her to comfort her, but Kaela pushed him away and ran towards Lily and Ava, hiding behind them.
"Kaela, what are you doing..." Mark tried to get closer to Kaela, but Lily blocked his way.
"Lily, this is none of your business," Mark remarked angrily.
"Did you forget what Khyle just said?" Lily blurted out.
"What do you mean?" Mark exclaimed, tears welling up in his eyes.
"You really are hopeless. Khyle said never to interact with her again," Lily reminded.
"So what? Should I really believe him all of a sudden?" Mark asked furiously.
"Khyle ordered the same thing to Kaela. He told her never to interact with you again," Lily explained.
"So what? Why should she believe it too?" Mark blurted out.
"Didn't you see? He fucking sacrificed himself for her mental well-being," Lily started.
"What did you do? You broke her mentality. You didn't even sacrifice yourself for her. Is that what you call a trustworthy future husband?"
"I don't think so, because all you did was care about yourself more than the others you should care about."
"'I'm scared, bro. Please let me go. I don't want to get involved in her problems.' Those exact words came out of your mouth like you don't give a fuck about her," Lily concluded.
Mark felt guilty and disgusted with himself. He turned his gaze towards Kaela, who was hiding her face in Ava's chest, crying silently as Ava consoled her.
"Mark, don't you realize?" Lily questioned.
"R—realize wh—what exactly?" Mark stuttered.
"You're worser than them," Lily stated.
Mark fell silent, looking down at the ground in guilt as he cried.
Khyle didn't make it out alive, leaving Kaela devastated by the experience. She would be scarred by this for her entire life.
