With quick steps, Axel immediately lunged towards the Razorback Troll which was still busy eating Zephyrak's body. He knew that the element of surprise was the only advantage he had right now.
As he approached, Axel focused on his target, namely the back of the monster's neck. With all the strength he could muster, he leapt into the air, aiming his dagger at the vital point he believed could provide the greatest impact.
The Razorback Troll also noticed the thirst for killing coming out of Axel. Swiftly, the monster suddenly disappeared from Axel's sight, moving at a surprising speed for a creature of that size.
"Where is he going?" Axel muttered, trying to calm himself and sharpen his senses.
Inside the large hall filled with shadows and remnants of battle, Axel listened carefully, trying to catch the sound of footsteps or heavy breathing from the Razorback Troll. The darkness around made the situation even more tense, every shadow and faint sound made Axel even more alert.
Suddenly, a roar sounded from behind him. Axel quickly turned around, but it was too late. The Razorback Troll, with an unexpected movement, attacked from the shadows, its large and sharp claws aimed straight at Axel.
Axel only had time to raise his dagger to block the attack, but the monster's strength sent him flying into the stone wall across the room. Pain shot through his body as he tried to get up, blood flowing from the fresh wound on his arm.
"Damn... It hurts so much..." Axel muttered, sitting down helplessly. He looked at his right arm and realized that his hand did not have the strength to lift the dagger in his palm.
Axel turned his gaze, which was starting to become blurry, and saw the figure of a Razorback Troll walking towards him. The monster seemed to be smiling, enjoying the sight of its helpless prey.
"Don't give up, Axel," he whispered to himself, trying to dig out any remaining strength. However, his body felt heavy and difficult to move. The wounds all over his body throbbed painfully, and more and more blood flowed out.
The Razorback Troll approached as its eyes flashed with ferocity. Her heavy steps echoed throughout the room, making Axel's heart beat even faster. The monster raised its claws, ready to deliver the final blow.
With the last of his strength, Axel tried to get up. Despite stumbling, he managed to stand on shaky knees. His right hand still gripped the dagger tightly. "I won't die here," he muttered hoarsely.
His eyes still seemed filled with the determination to survive. Even though his body was tired and covered in wounds, Axel showed no signs of giving up. In front of him, the figure of the Razorback Troll, which was still alive but badly injured, looked at him in annoyance. The monster seemed angry that its supposedly defenseless prey still showed resistance.
Axel took a deep breath, trying to gather the last strength he had. His trembling hand still held the dagger, even though every movement was painful. He knew that he had to end this now or he wouldn't have another chance.
"Damn... I won't let you win," Axel muttered in a determined voice.
The Razorback Troll groaned angrily, blood flowing freely from its wounds. With shuffling steps, the monster tried to approach Axel again with its claws raised ready to attack. With all his might, he forced himself up, even though his legs felt weak and his body was shaking.
As the monster approached, Axel jumped to the side, avoiding its deadly claw attack. In the same motion, he swung his dagger with all the strength he had left, aiming for the Razorback Troll's eyes. The attack hit its target, making the monster roar in pain and take several steps back.
But, something strange happened. Instantly the area around the monster's eyes smoked and slowly began to regenerate back to normal.
"R-regeneration ability..." Axel was surprised to see this. The wounds caused by Axel slowly began to disappear, making his efforts seem in vain.
The Razorback Troll, which should have been defeated, was now back on its feet with full strength. The monster let out a roar that echoed throughout the hall, indicating that its regeneration was almost complete.
Axel felt despair starting to creep into his heart. He knew that he did not have enough energy to launch another attack like before. Every wound he had caused was now gone, as if it had never existed.
"Impossible..." he muttered in a voice that was almost desperate. "How am I supposed to beat him if he can recover like this?"
"Is that so… So, this is the end…" Axel muttered, feeling a sense of resignation overcome him. Slowly, the dagger in his hand fell to the ground with a barely audible sound.
The Razorback Troll smiled broadly, a terrifying laugh that echoed throughout the boss's room on the 50th floor. The monster seemed to enjoy Axel's suffering, his eyes flashed with triumph.
Axel, with his body barely able to move, could only stare at the monster. His consciousness was starting to fade, and he felt that the end was very near. The Razorback Troll's laughter grew louder, as if celebrating its imminent victory.
He slowly started to close his eyes when he saw the sharp claws of the Razorback Troll about to hit him.
"CLIING!!"
A sound of friction between metal could be heard echoing on the 50th floor. Axel slowly opened his eyes and saw silver hair flowing in front of his eyes. In front of him, a silver-haired girl stood resolutely, sword in hand, blocking the monster's deadly attack.
"Are you okay?" asked the silver-haired girl, her voice soft but full of courage.
Axel recognized the girl's figure. With his eyes wide open, he saw clearly that this girl was someone very famous. Known as the 'Sword Princess', this girl earned this nickname because every movement in swinging her katana looked like she was dancing, full of grace and precision.
"A-Alicia..." said Axel in a low tone.
Alicia turned to him, giving him a reassuring smile. "I won't let you face this alone."
With one graceful movement, Alicia pushed the Razorback Troll backwards, creating some distance between them. The monster growled angrily, but Alicia showed no signs of fear. He advanced with sure steps, swinging his sword with extraordinary skill.
Axel saw Alicia who was fighting, then picked up the dagger he had originally dropped on the floor and gripped it tightly in his right hand.
"You idiot... Why would I even give up at a time like this..." said Axel to himself.
With new determination, Axel got up from the ground, even though his body still felt weak and covered in wounds. He knew that he couldn't let Alicia fight alone. Taking a deep breath, he concentrated all his courage and charged forward, joining Alicia in battle.
"I won't let you face this alone, Alicia," he said in a determined voice.
Alicia turned her head for a moment, smiling faintly. "Good, let's defeat this monster."
By combining their abilities, Axel and Alicia attacked the Razorback Troll with extraordinary skill and courage. Alicia attacks with graceful and fast movements, while Axel delivers powerful and precise attacks. Every attack they launch aims to weaken the monster's regeneration ability. Anyone who sees this scene will think it is like a black and white dance illuminated by the reflection of light from the minerals on the 50th floor. Alicia, with her silver hair sparkling like moonlight looked so elegant.
The fight was intense. The Razorback Troll tried to fight back with all its might, but Axel and Alicia's combined attacks were starting to take effect. The wounds on the monster were increasing, and its ability to recover couldn't keep up with the damage they continued to deal.
"Alicia, attack the spot on his neck!" Axel shouted, realizing the weakness they could exploit.
Alicia nodded, changing the direction of her attack and targeting the Razorback Troll's neck. With a fast and precise attack, She managed to injure the monster's neck, causing blood to flow profusely. The Razorback Troll let out a pained roar, and its regeneration stopped for a moment.
"Hey do it, now!" Alicia shouted.
With his remaining strength, Axel swung his dagger with all his strength, piercing the Razorback Troll's heart.
"H-human…"
Instantly the attack failed to hit the monster's heart. Both Axel and Alicia were shocked, not because the last attack didn't work, but because the monster figure held Axel's dagger tightly and started talking like a human.
"He...talked?" Alicia muttered, her eyes wide in surprise.
"How could that be...?" Axel gaped, his hands shaking as he tried to pull his dagger back, but the monster's grip was too strong.
The Razorback Troll laughed in a hoarse, booming voice, its glowing red eyes looking at them with hatred and disdain. "You stupid humans. You think you can defeat me so easily? I'm more than just a monster. I'm something you can't understand."
With terrifying force, the Razorback Troll threw Axel to the side, sending him flying several meters and crashing hard into the wall. Alicia immediately stepped forward, trying to protect Axel, but the monster attacked her with full force.
Alicia dodged with agile movements, but the monster's attack was too fast. The Razorback Troll lashed out with sharp claws, grazing Alicia's arm and causing her to fall.
"ALICIA!!!" Axel shouted, who was trying to get back to his feet.
