Verna, although hurt by the criticism, tried to explain more patiently, "I did the best I could, Kyle. Those spells take concentration and time to cast properly."However, Kyle continued to maintain his views. "We don't have time for mistakes like that, Verna!"
The young man who works as a courier felt caught in doubt. He felt like he didn't know what to do in an increasingly tense situation like this. Even though he had tried to help in his capacity as a courier, he felt like he was just a burden to his fellow party members.
As he stood at the back, trying to help the middle-aged man referred to as "old man" in guarding the rear lines, the young man felt hopeless. He realized that he did not have enough strength or skills to make a significant contribution in battle.
However, when he saw the old man fighting alone, the young man felt guilty. He felt like he was just letting the old man fight by himself, without doing anything to help. It felt like he was simply a burden to the old man, rather than a useful member of their party.
In his confusion and feeling of helplessness, the young courier man tried to find a way to be useful in this difficult situation. He knew he had to find a way to make a contribution, even though it might feel difficult or even impossible. However, he promised himself that he would no longer let his feelings of helplessness stop him from trying to help his party mates in the upcoming battle.
"AND YOU!" Kyle shouted, pointing at the figure of a robed person who had the profession of assassin.
The figure, who had been in the shadows throughout the battle, flinched at Kyle's call. He moved closer, showing a hint of confusion on his face at suddenly being the center of attention.
"What have you been doing all this time?!" Kyle blamed, his eyes flashed with deep dissatisfaction. "We need you on the front lines, not hiding in the shadows!"
The assassin, who usually worked in silence and secrecy, fell silent for a moment. He felt pressured by Kyle's anger, but remained calm in his judgment.
"I did what I could, Kyle," he answered in a low voice, but filled with confidence. "My ability is clever tactics and strategy. I try to maintain balance and exploit the enemy's weaknesses."
However, Kyle was not satisfied with that answer. "We don't need tactics right now, we need your presence in battle!" he insisted loudly.
"Damn! There's no way I can get a promotion with a trash party like this!" Kyle said in an annoyed tone.
"Hey, calm down for a moment." Suddenly, the middle-aged man moved closer to Kyle, trying to calm the young man down.
Kyle turned towards the middle-aged man, his expression still filled with frustration and annoyance. He felt like all his hopes for progress in his adventure rankings were dashed because of the incompetence of his party members.
The middle-aged man placed his hand gently on Kyle's shoulder, trying to provide a little warmth and support. "We're all in a tough situation, Kyle. But getting angry won't help. We have to stick together and work together to get to the 25th floor."
Kyle looked at the middle-aged man, his eyes still flashed with anger but also with doubt. He felt touched by the man's words of wisdom, although it was difficult to compose himself amidst his deep disappointment.
Slowly, Kyle started to feel a little calm under the guidance of the middle-aged man. He realizes that they must overcome their internal conflicts and reunite as one if they are to successfully overcome the trials faced in this dungeon.
"Hey, courier kid," Kyle called to the courier kid.
"Y-yes..." replied the young man who is a courier in a trembling voice, still sounding doubtful and unsure.
"Get my armor set in that bag," Kyle ordered the young courier kid.
The young man who is a courier swallowed hard, but then quickly obeyed Kyle's orders. Carefully, he opened the large bag he was carrying and began searching for the armor set in question. After a while, he found the armor and took it out of the bag.
"Here you are, Kyle," he said as he handed the armor set to Kyle carefully.
"What you say is true, old man. "There's no point in us lingering in this place," said Kyle as he put on his new set of armor.
The old man nodded in agreement. "We must immediately continue our journey. The longer we stay here, the more likely we are to be hit by enemy attacks."
Thus, Kyle and his party members immediately continued their journey through the dark corridors of the dungeon.
They descended the large stairs to go to the 22nd floor of this dungeon. As they descended, the air began to feel more humid and the atmosphere began to turn darker. A dim light began to envelop the alleys and paths they were walking through.
It's a strange phenomenon, indeed, that this dungeon seems to violate known natural laws. From the outside, this dungeon looks like a tower soaring into the sky, but inside, adventurers feel the sensation of climbing or descending endless stairs.
This makes the dungeon even more mysterious for those who try to understand it. Whether it was an unfathomable magic power or a natural phenomenon that was yet to be understood, none of them could provide a definite answer.
However, amidst their confusion, one thing is certain: they must continue to move forward. With strong determination and a fiery spirit of adventure, they continued their exploration to the 22nd floor.
Not long after that, they saw a bright light emitting from a distance.
"That light... what is that?" asked Verna, her eyes focused on the light that was getting closer.
"We have to be careful," Kyle said seriously, his eyes shining with caution. "That could be a sign of something dangerous or there could be a way out of this floor."
The old man nodded in agreement. "Whatever it is, we must be prepared for any possibility. Prepare yourselves, we will soon find out what awaits behind that light."
They continued their journey towards the bright light, impatient to find out what awaited them at the end of this mysterious dungeon's dark passage.
"Uwaah…" They were amazed when they entered the bright light. A new world was visible as far as their eyes could see.
