That morning, Axel woke up early and realized that he had fallen asleep on the sofa in the living room. "I fell asleep, huh..." he muttered while looking at the blanket covering him.
He got up slowly, stretching his body which still felt stiff after yesterday's long adventure. The blanket, he knew, must have been laid by Hana. A small smile appeared on his face when he thought about how caring his little sister was.
Axel walked into the kitchen, making a cup of coffee to wake himself up completely. While sipping hot coffee, his mind returned to the tasks that still awaited them. The huge monster on the 30th floor, the threat of Ground Zero, and the expedition planning by the adventurer association—all required serious attention.
After finishing his coffee, Axel decided to make a simple breakfast. He wanted to make sure Hana had nutritious food before going to school. While he was busy in the kitchen, Hana appeared, her hair still messy from sleep.
