February 10th, in the vibrant city of New York, the sun illuminated the streets, bringing life to its inhabitants. Stella Athanasiou, a young woman with orange-golden eyes and long yellow-golden hair, walked through the bustling city, feeling a sense of boredom.
She wore a tailored and custom black suit that has golden accents and accessories, fitting to her overall esthetic, but might have embraced her feminine features a bit too much as one could say. Beautiful as she is, a yellow halo always followed behind her head, making her look angelic to most.
"Nothing interesting as always...", she said in a very unamused tone. Her eyes half open, trying not to observe the boring surroundings she deemed boring.
She said to herself with a sigh.
As she made her way to the park, she was interrupted by someone calling her name.
The figure running towards her turned out to be her childhood friend, Jake Miracle. With phantom black eyes and short white hair, Jake exuded enthusiasm and greeted Stella with a big smile. "Stella!!", he said loudly.
Stella: can you keep quiet, Jake. Why are you even here? I thought you went to Finland for a vacation to your parents.
Jake: "I did but the C.O.R.E assigned me to a mission and you are needed in the operation."
Surprisingly, the council had instructed Stella to join Jake on this mission. Stella wondered why she was specifically chosen, considering the other members of the Demon Cadres.
"Why me? Why not the other members?", Stella asked with a questioned yet stoic look.
Jake: "Yeah but D-3, D-7, and D-4 were already occupied, D-8 remained mostly stationed at headquarters, D-2 required D-1's presence, and D-1's whereabouts were unknown even to the council."
Feeling overwhelmed by the situation, Stella sighed and asked Jake to reveal the details of their mission.
Stella: "what's it about?"
Jake: we have to kill the "limitless user".
Stella began to sink in the gravity of the task, questioning in her thoughts on why they would send ony them to kill that thing.
"Only the two of us? Against that thing? What were they thinking?", she replied, her eyes were shaking a little.
Jake: "it's fine, stel. Don't you have the power to take him down?
Stella: "I do, but that doesn't guarantee anything. We are up against a being that is relative to the 'concepts' in power."
Jake: "relax, we have a high percentage of failure and likelyhood of possible death but we do have a low possibility of winning. That's better than having no chance at all."
She replied in a very disapproving tone "that did not help, Jake. Not one bit", Jake however clinged to that low percentage of victory.
Fate has been twisted for them to cross paths in the narrow choices of life. Dancing in the stage to play their given roles by those above them. What shall destiny bring to them?
