"I'm standing in front of what would resemble a sailing ship from the 1700s, well, without the sails or the cannon ports. The ship is made from elder treant wood. They've used the process of infusion to imbue it with Mithril enhance its mana conductivity. A more advanced version of infusion was likely used to create my staff. Infusion has its limits; you can only infuse with up to three materials, using one as a base. Additionally, materials that are too incompatible won't work. Elder treant wood is only a step below diamond when it comes to toughness. Its mana conductivity is already high, but infusing it with Mithril further enhances that property.
We're going to be building a space station, well, it's going to be a floating island in space. The airship naturally has a mana reactor, basically a giant mana crystal that's runedek enchanted to absorb atmospheric mana. Yes, there is mana in space, in fact, there's way more mana in space; it's called cosmic mana. The downside is, you're unable to charge a mana reactor with your own mana. Once you add this runedek enchantment, mana reactors are used only on large-scale things like castles, built that are not on Ley lines, airships, and other big projects would use a mana reactor. The reason is simple: first, giant mana crystals, or even just large ones, are exceptionally rare; and second, one wrong move and it will explode during the runedek enchanting process."
"The airship is loaded with only a handful of individuals; in fact, despite its size, there are probably at most 20, maybe 30 experts, craftsman, and of course, the captain who is skilled in operating airships. This airship is unique as it has a second mana reactor, which solely powers the life support barrier, giving it space capabilities.
The life support barrier works by combining a spatial isolation barrier that separates the outside and inside environments, so the environment inside the ship or on the ship's deck is completely unaffected by the environment outside, within the range of the barrier the environment suitable for life. It also creates oxygen, controls the temperature, and expels CO2, venting it outside the barrier. It uses an astronomical amount of mana. Each member, with the exception of myself, is also equipped with a bracelet, which is a smaller version of the life support barrier. These bracelets have many small mana stones embedded in them. When fully charged, they can last for two days without needing someone to charge them with their own mana. However, unlike the life support barrier on the ship, they also have detection magic. When they detect the environment to be unsuitable to sustain life, they will activate on their own. They will not activate on their own if they don't have any charge, which is why keeping charged is the smart thing to do.
We get loaded onto the ships, and the ship takes off. The airship proceeds at an absurdly fast speed. The ship utilizes a combination of antigravity, enabling it to float. After all, creating an antigravity field doesn't get rid of the ship's mass. As such, the antigravity field on the bottom of the airship is being propelled by Earth's gravity, but gravity still acts on the airship, meaning there will be an equalization of forces at some point. By adjusting the antigravity, we can control altitude. The ship also uses a combination of highly compressed air, naturally created through magical means, and especially designed thrusters which direct the highly compressed air, a combination of magic and technology, to create powerful thrusts. We've already reached the upper atmosphere, and the barriers are being deployed in front of the airship to shield it from the heat generated from the friction with the air
a result of the Ludacris speed the airship travels at, we have now reached orbit."
