Observing the moment between the mother and son, Olbrunah couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. It was understandable, after all, he hadn't seen his daughter since she began her secluded training 110 years ago. For a man who cherished his family above all else, this separation was akin to torture. The day she left for her training, even the mighty Dragon Emperor couldn't suppress the tears that fell from his eyes.
After allowing them a few moments, he cleared his throat with a fake cough, "Ahem..." In order to regain their attention, now that mother and son had reconciled, it was time to proceed. "So, Lilith" he continued, "as I mentioned, I've come to inform you that we'll be leaving in 7 days. We're embarking on an adventure for a vacation."
Now that her thoughts were collected, she said, "Oh, that's right, you mentioned something fun when you entered the room. Where are we going?"
"So, you'll be joining us?" Olbrunah inquired.
"Yes, it's been quite some time since I left this place. A change of scenery after all these emotional ups and downs would be refreshing" she replied. Then, with a hint of nostalgia, she added, "And it's been too long since I last saw for the baby princess. I miss her so much !"
"Good" Olbrunah continued "I still don't know where we'll be going, but one thing's for sure, we won't be venturing into any of the highest level galaxies. If we do, we'll have every being in those galaxies trying to approach us, which would spoil the fun." He then added, "As for the vacation activities, it'll be up to my daughter and wife to decide."
"Be prepared before I test her power in 6 days, we'll depart the following day" Olbrunah instructed "So, gather everything you'll need for our vacation and ensure you're prepared to take care of my baby if needed."
Lilith nodded and asked her son to stay and help her. Olbrunah didn't need the help of his right-hand man for the rest of the visits, so he authorized Herzal to assist his mother and left them together.
He walked slowly through the garden of the palace, making his way to the giant pond at the front. There, he released some of his Natural Energy into the air. Within moments, a colossal creature emerged from the depths of the pond, a creature resembling a massive black serpent with dark blue reflections. Its scales glistened like those of a dragon, and it sported two wings near its head and four legs on its body, each adorned with sharp claws. Even with only half of its body visible, the creature was already as tall as the doors behind him. This creature was Leviathan, born from the energy of the universe, raised by Olbrunah as his adopted father and Rei as his adopted mother.
Suddenly, an ancient and respectful voice could be heard, "Father, what can I do for you ?"
Olbrunah looked into the eyes of his adopted son and said, "My son, when your sister completes her training, we'll be leaving on a vacation. I know you would rather not leave, especially since your wife is pregnant. That's why I came to give you this." He revealed a small ring and a box and continued "The ring is a gift for your future child. When your wife goes into labor, make sure to give her this ring. It will protect both her and the baby. Once your child is born, place it on them immediately. That way, I'll know they've arrived safely, and I'll teleport to you." Despite Leviathan's stoic expression, those who knew him well could see the happiness in his eyes at his father's concern for his wife and future child. "Thank you, father" he responded.
"It's nothing, son. Now, for the box. Inside, you'll find plenty of resources to help care for your wife after the birth. Strong women are often extremely weakened after childbirth, so you need to take good care of her" said Olbrunah "You'll also find a communicator. With it, I'll be able to contact you if we find a suitable place to stay during our journey. Mabel will be able to teleport you and your family to us."
"I will do it, father" Leviathan assured.
"Now it's time for me to leave, son. I need to speak with Lady Death before we depart. Since she's the one taking care of this dimension, I have to inform her" Olbrunah explained. Before he left, he added, "Take good care of your family, my son. Never forget that when you're down, the ones who will support you won't be your friends or allies, it will always be your family."
Leviathan watched his father leave with a respectful gaze and replied, "Goodbye, father" before returning to the pond to join his wife and futur child.
Olbrunah couldn't help but smile as he heard his son's voice. No matter how old Leviathan got or how many children he had, to Olbrunah, he would always be the little kid he found lost in space. "Now, one last stop before going to see my wife" he said while looking at the sky. To others, there was nothing in the sky, but for him, thanks to his eyes that could see the truth of the world, he could see the hidden floating island above his palace. This was the residence of the woman known as Lady Death, one of the primordial entities of the universe.
Primordial beings have existed since the birth of the universe, each representing and controlling a fundamental concept of reality. Among those known are Death, Life, Infinity, Space, Time, and Balance. While others exist, they are not interested in interacting with beings besides the primordials themselves.
After contemplating for a few moments, two magnificent black wings began to materialize on his back. With a single powerful flap, he launched himself into the air, causing the ground beneath him to be obliterated. Yet, as if the fabric of reality itself were rewinding, the ground began to reconstruct itself. With another beat of his wings, he soared effortlessly towards the hidden island, located hundreds of kilometers above the ground.
Arriving before the protective barrier, he effortlessly traversed it as if it didn't exist. Suddenly, a beautiful island came into view, with mystical beasts roaming freely and majestic mountains with rivers cascading down. At the base of one of the mountains stood a towering white castle, reminiscent of a scene from a fairy tale.
The first time Olbrunah had come to this island, he thought he arrived at the domain of Lady Death's brother, Lord Life. In his mind, Lady Death's realm would be a nightmarish landscape of hellfire, rivers of blood, and tormented souls. However, reality proved quite different. Lady Death valued life above all else. Most of the creatures and plants on the island were considered extinct in the universe, and Lady Death provided sanctuary to the last of their kinds, allowing them to live eternally. That's why her island was called "Sanctuary" by those who knew her.
After surveying the area for a moment, he began flying towards the white castle. Within seconds, he landed gracefully in front of the main door. As he approached, two black circles of corruption materialized on each side of the entrance. From them emerged two Death Kings, their towering skeletal forms adorned with black helmets and imposing plate armor. Each wielded a giant sword and shield, standing over five meters tall. They blocked Olbrunah's path, dutifully protecting the place where their lord rested.
Olbrunah observed the spectacle with a faint smile, knowing that Lady Death was watching from afar with a smug expression. He patiently waited for a few moments until a majestic voice echoed through the air "You may enter, Dragon Emperor Olbrunah Draconis" With those words, the two Death Kings parted, allowing Olbrunah to pass. With a smile lingering on his face, he stepped forward and proceeded into the dark corridor that would lead him to the presence of Lady Death.
