And at Mo Fan's swing, the giant ice blue Qi Phoenix flew at max speed at towards the Red Hind Bear, instantly freezing it together with its flames before completely disappearing in the air.
"Wow..."
...
"That's... awesome!" Su Yan's eyes couldn't help but shine even more at such a sight, her usual cold behavior being instantly replaced by an amazed and excited one. "That's just what I was looking for! That power... that ice! That's just what I always dreamt about!"
"Pant... yeah... well, it did... pant... take a lot of efforts for me to make it..." Mo Fan began, out of breath, barely able to even sheathe the sword back in its into its sheath of black iron. Well, after all, he had just used nearly all of his Qi and strengths just to show off the true power of Yin Phoenix Sword to Su Yan, and so it was quite normal that he was that exhausted now, but he had to say that by her reaction, it had definitely been worth it. He had never seen her so enthusiastic over anything! Well, to be honest, he had never seen her show so many of her emotions at once! She was so cute! "So... pant... I'm glad that you like it."
"Here! Take some Qi Replenishing Pills, they'll help you recover a bit!" Su Yan quickly rushed at Mo Fan, rapidly swapping the Yin Phoenix Sword in his hands with the pills."Then while you absorb the pills, I'll take a good look at this sword!"
"Yeah... thanks, Su Yan..." Mo Fan said, quite surprised by her behavior. He was so used to seeing her being cold all of the time that seeing her like this was just... strange.
'Sigh... guess that she's human like everyone else after all...' the golden-haired guy sighed inwardly before sitting in a lotus position and ingering a Qi Replenishing Pill.
The pill instantly melted into his mouth and a huge amount of Qi was immediately released, instantly going down of his throat and then reaching the whole body, thus quickly reinvigorating Mo Fan's forces and replenishing his Internal Qi reserves. 'Wow... these pills are really as awesome as they say... I always imagined how powerful they would be... but I never expected them to be this strong... a single pill was enough to remove all of my fatigue and to replenish my entire Qi! They're really awesome! I should get a manual about alchemy when I return... I'm dying to know how they wor-'
Suddenly, a loud thud rumbled throught the forest, immediately interrupting Mo Fan and making him turn towards its direction, only for him to see a colossal mountain of ice. "Senior sister Su Yan! What the fuck's happening?!"
"Ehm, well... I think that using all of my power to try the sword wasn't that good of an idea..." Su Yan replied, quite shocked herself. She had done it without thinking much out of sheer excitement but she hadn't expected that with a single swing she would be able to do something like that! That was completely out of her expectations! How had been Mo Fan even able to forge something like that?
"Yeah... I think that it wasn't a good idea as well, senior sister..." Mo Fan was even more shocked than her. He had expected the power of the sword to be much more powerful in her hand, but not to this extent! That power was comparable to a Peak Immortal Ascension expert's one, and Su Yan was currently just at the first True Element stage!
How could the sword even be capable of enduring the pressure of releasing and creating such power? The materials he had used were good, but not that good! Were maybe the old man's forging techniques the ones that had this effect? Were the Harmonious Hammer Technique and the Harmonious Artifact Refining Arts actually godly techniques? 'Nah, that old man was just a Tempered Body cultivator... he couldn't possibly have had such powerful techniques... or he wouldn't have died because of those 1st Order spiders even if they were a lo-'
"Ehm, junior brother Mo Fan..." Su Yan called for him, making him immediately snap from his thoughts. "We should go now before the monsters of the forest come here to see what happened..."
"Senior sister Su Yan..." Mo Fan began, looking at her straight in the eyes as if she had said some kind of bullshit. "I don't think that any monsters will dare to even think about coming here..."
"Oh, yeah... you're right..." Su Yan muttered at his words, the moment in that instant being rather awkward... both of them didn't know what to say.
...
On the way back to the workshop...
"Junior brother Mo Fan, isn't that quite heavy?" Su Yan asked to the golden-haired boy, who was struggling even to walk because of the massive dead Red Hind Bear he was carrying on his back. "No... pant... don't worry, senior sister... pant... I... can take it! It's just... pant... another form of training! And besides..."
"...the Red Hind Bear's bones and fur are exceptional to make artifacts! I couldn't absolutely let such precious material go to waste!"
"Wow... I thought that Su Mu was exaggerating when he said that you were a greedy demon, but I guess that he wasn't so wrong after all!" Su Yan exclaimed, quickly walking in front of Mo Fan and warmly smiling at him. She didn't know why... but she felt quite comfortable around him! He matched her energy so well.
"Hehe... it's truly a blessing that... pant... you've warmed up around... pant... me a little, senior sister... otherwise... pant... I wouldn't have able to see your beautiful smile so often!"
"Hmpf... don't get over yourself so quickly..." Su Yan, hearing his words, immediately stopped smiling and returned to her usual behaviour, but, unknown to her, Mo Fan could still see that she was blushing a little bit. "I just see you as a friend, that's all..."
"Ouch, you're... pant... hurting my heart..."
"Don't care!"
