Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: New techniques

"Oh, well, let's say that his debt was so big that he had to give me even his clothes to pay it off," Mo Fan exclaimed, while continuing to take the points, martial skills, and secret arts of all the guys just like before, as if what he had just said was completely normal.

...

"I'm rich! I'm rich!" Mo Fan, after finishing robbing Su Mu's group, was now returning home with a huge bag containing all of their possessions while singing and jumping out of joy across the Black Wind Woods. "Nobody is as rich as me!"

"I'm rich! I'm rich! Not even the sect master can rival meeee! With thirty thousand points I can buuuuuy theeeee-" but suddenly, his singing moment was interrupted by a lot of things being thrown at him by the animals of the forest, who were annoyed by his fastidious, out-of-tune voice and wanted him to immediately stop it.

But, to their displeasure, the golden-haired kid just dodged whatever they threw at him and continued to sing with his shrill voice. "With thirty thousand points I can buuuuuy theeee world! With thirty thousand points, I am the richest man on the fucking gloooooobe!"

"With thirty thousand points, I can finaaaaally buuuu-"

~OOH-OOH-AH-AH~

~OOH-OOH-AH-AH~

But the countless animals inhabiting the forest couldn't really endure his fastidious voice anymore as their eardrums started to hurt because of it, so they started to scream even louder than before and to throw even more things at him, this time Mo Fan not being able to dodge so many objects at once and thus getting finally hit in the head. "Ok, ok, guys, I won't sing anymore! Just stop throwing things at me!"

~OOH-OOH-AH-AH~

~OOH-OOH-AH-AH~

This time, the screams of the animals were of pure joy. Finally, they didn't have to hear that fastidious sound anymore!

"Fucking animals! They don't even know how to recognize true art!"

...

Returned home, Mo Fan immediately indulged in checking out all of the techniques that he took from Su Mu's group, and to his surprise, he found out that some of them were quite interesting:

The Azure Sword Art, a sword style that wasn't super powerful or anything special, the only thing piquing Mo Fan's interest being its superb footwork, relying on both speed and sheer strength, that was just perfect for him to use to complement the movement techniques of the Black & White Crane Arts, which were quite bad if he had to be honest;

The Drunken Fist was a simple yet fascinating system of fist techniques, with its peculiarity being that their movements resembled those of a drunken man, giving each attack much more unpredictability, and if Mo Fan were to learn this trick, it would be a lot helpful to him in battle;

The Heaven Splitting Whip Kick, instead, didn't have any uniqueness like the previous martial skills, as it was just the evolution of one of the sect's mandatory skills to learn, the Whip Kick, but Mo Fan could still make good use of it by simply implementing it in the Black & White Crane Arts;

The Dragon Subduing Palms was the martial skill that piqued his interest the most, as, with incredibly strong palm techniques further powered by an intriguing use of external energy, Mo Fan could have said that it was on par with the martial skill that he created by fusing the Black Crane Arts and the White Crane Arts together, the Black & White Crane Arts, but since he couldn't yet use External Qi, as he hadn't yet reached the Initial Element stage, it was slightly inferior to it, leading Mo Fan to think about fusing the two together to create something even stronger;

And, finally, the technique that intriqued Mo Fan the most of all was the Bone Forging Art. It was a technique really similar to a body refining art, with the only difference being that this technique honed one's body instead of the muscles like the other one. To strengthen the bones, this art had a really interesting method: one had to use his internal Qi to carve various holes in their skeleton and then make the energy enter inside of it, subsequently making it circulate throughout all of it. In this way, every bone of the body would slowly absorb the Qi, thus strengthening.

As they got stronger, their bones would eventually go through three evolutions, after which they would get way stronger than before and so enter three different stages: Copper Bones, Iron Bones and Jade Bones.

The only downside of this technique was the excruciating pain that the user had to experience while practicing it, but Mo Fan couldn't care less about something so trivial.

Now, with a lot of new ideas in mind, the golden-haired boy immediately started another training session to try all of them out.

...

After a couple of hours...

"Fuck!" Mo Fan cursed out loud as he fell with his butt on the green grass of his courtyard for the umpteenth time after losing his balance. "How the fuck is it possible that I keep failing to fuse them?! I integrated all of the other martial skills in the Black & White Crane Arts with ease, and yet I still keep failing at fusing it with the Dragon Subduing Palm!"

"And why did they have to be so uncompatible, their footworks are literally the opposite of each other!" The golden-haired kid vented all of his anger out by shouting in its courtyard, silence following afterwards until what he had just said made him realize something. "Opposite of each other?"

"Right! Why didn't I think of something so simple before? If two things can't be fused, I'll just have to create a footwork technique on my own that can satisfy both of their needs at the same time!"

...to be continued
