Before being in Endside, Eli was the only child of a lower-class noble family that wasn't well-known. However, their life was much more comfortable without having to care about the talks of other nobles, doing activities without worrying about others' opinions.
Eli, who had loved fighting since childhood, got into trouble with the children around his house who always disturbed him because he was the only one who wanted to be friends with the commoners' children. Considered strange and a sycophant, especially because he befriended one of them who, like him, was often bullied by other children for being whiny and always complaining about small things.
Not wanting to see this, Eli taught the boy their family's martial arts, which should not be shared with others, especially commoners, because they could use it against the nobles or the kingdom's soldiers. But Eli trusted him, telling him that it should only be used for self-defense, not to hurt others.
