Both of them kept running, traversing the long road with so many twists and turns. The Dread Viper members chased not far behind, climbing and jumping over rooftops, trying to cut off their path at every turn. However, Ailord was quick-witted, using anything around to break through even though his chest felt like something was trying to tear from within.
He had no idea what was happening and should have been able to face them all even if it meant getting hurt. But not running like this while constantly protecting Therlina as if they were being hunted.
When the Dread Viper members suddenly attacked, Ailord managed to fight back for a while and inflicted some serious injuries. But in the midst of it all, his chest suddenly hurt so badly, giving them a chance to land some hard punches and kicks until now his face was bruised with blood starting to dry on the side of his mouth.
