Realizing this conversation would go nowhere, Ailord pointed forward as he shouted. Glok immediately looked in that direction, concerned if the lizard was still alive. However, the last thing he could see was the beautiful blue color of the sky as darkness began to obscure the view.
Ailord didn't expect it to work. Moreover, it was the first time he had knocked out someone. He didn't want this goblin to know the location of the base. Ailord would just save him and then return him to the forest. In and out, that simple.
If only his body didn't continue to crack, he might leave him alone here. After all, the threat was gone, what else could he do here? Walker's energy was also dwindling. More than this, and Walker would truly run out of energy and there would be no way to deal with the problems that came at night.
Indeed, so far there was nothing. However, he couldn't let his guard down. Especially, with a half-dead goblin now on his shoulders, possessing great power. Although unable to face the lizard alone, he was at least stronger than Ailord, which made Ailord cautious.
Again, he had no mana. Who knows what would happen to him once this goblin regained consciousness.
"Hmm, perhaps I should continue staying inside Walker. This way, he won't realize there's no mana in the body. Or even if he does realize, he won't be able to cause trouble, understanding that Walker is equally strong," Ailord truly hoped, wishing the bad thoughts swirling in his head wouldn't come true. "He can't be that evil, can he? He was even willing to fight alongside me and not run away. He's also willing to sacrifice himself for his friends. Someone like that can't be bad."
However, Ailord still couldn't shake off the uncomfortable feeling in his heart. Therefore, after storing the meat obtained from the Overseers - What? Do you think the Overseers can only be spies?
Having so many robots and not using them to the fullest? Truly a wasted opportunity. Even if they can't attack, the Overseers can enter a monster's ear and deliver a shock attack to the brain, causing the monster to die. Even if it doesn't die, the monster will surely faint. Enough for Ailord to come to the signal's location and kill it with his own hands.
He placed the goblin on the floor, observing its form still cracking. It wasn't as fast as before, but it still continued. Making him a bit worried because the goblin might have exerted its full power, and the body couldn't handle it.
"For your friends, you're willing to suffer like this. What are you? The main character?" Ailord sighed, reluctantly realizing he had to create a medbay. He did want to make one, but not now. Moreover, he gained many points after killing three lizards.
"30,000 points! I can create my own army, make this base much bigger! Even, I can create something I've wanted for a long time," he exclaimed with sparkling eyes. However, the pitiful sight of the goblin below made him frustrated again. "Because of you, my points have to be used." He sighed, sat down, and opened Blandar on the screen. "Never mind, it's much better if I finish this quickly and kick him out of here."
Ailord began working, focusing on the screen even though the computer kept giving new notifications every minute due to the discoveries of the Overseers who could still work late into the night. Ailord still wasn't sure how much energy they had left. However, from his estimation, they could last a few more hours, if only mapping the forest. Their energy would be significantly drained when shocking the monster's brain. Afterall, to make those monsters faint or die, it required a considerable amount of energy, considering their body size was as big as a car.
He needed to find a new way to make the Overseers more efficient.
Actually, he could use Mythril as their body material. But considering the price of Walker, it's likely that he would need more points than he currently has to bring 200 Mythril Overseers into the real world.
Perhaps, he could mix Mythril with steel, creating a new material much stronger. However, it would require time and planning before he could create his tools. Even though Blandar could materialize anything created within it, Ailord still had to figure out how the object worked and what happened inside it so that the object would function as he wanted, and then Blandar would handle the other details. Something still challenging for him to work on for such a complex object as material fusion.
"I have no idea about the material fusion process. Let alone imagining it, I don't even know what form the tool should take. Like a giant blender? Grinder? Smelter?" Ailord shook his head, forcing himself to refocus on the medbay which now made him doubt because he had no idea how the medbay worked, only imagining how it might work.
Actually, Ailord already had a pretty good understanding of how Blandar worked. He was just panicking because someone's life was now in his hands, which became a deep trauma for him.
"Will this work?"
He looked at the goblin, breathing heavily, realizing that if this didn't work, the goblin would likely die. Ailord didn't want that. While he was still cautious of it, he also wanted to save it. He didn't want someone to die when he could still do something. He didn't want to repeat the same mistake as before.
"Whatever happens, I have to give it my best," he told himself, steeling his resolve and refocusing on creating the medbay.
It didn't take long for the medbay to be completed, especially when he was serious. However, he felt a slight headache coming on, with sweat starting to dampen his body. He truly strained his brain to accurately imagine how the medbay worked so that the goblin's life in front of him could be saved.
"Alright, I hope this works—no, it will work."
Ailord pressed the confirmation button, consuming a painful 15,000 points, which felt like a dagger to the heart. His eyes widened at seeing that many points. He didn't expect, once again, half of his points to be gone just like that without him being able to do anything. Ailord's dreams vanished instantly, knowing it would still take a considerable amount of time for him to create the things he desired.
The medbay appeared in front of him, just as he had imagined. A tall bed with a long glass dome covering the top. A hologram panel appeared on both sides, displaying information that was currently empty since it didn't have a patient yet.
Ailord let out a relieved sigh. At least this medbay matched his vision and seemed like it would work. However, the goblin would be the ultimate test. The final piece. If this worked, Ailord would roughly know more about Blandar's usage and would be able to use it more efficiently. He would also successfully save a life. Something he couldn't do in his previous world.
The glass dome opened, revealing a beautiful and soft white bed meticulously designed by Ailord. Anyone would surely be nervous lying on the bed under the glass dome. That's why he made sure that whoever would sleep inside would feel comfortable and at ease. The most crucial aspect of healing someone.
Glok was laid there, and the glass dome closed again. A scanning machine emerged from above the head, moving down to the feet with a bluish beam. The information screen, which was previously empty, now displayed detailed information about the goblin in front of him, far more detailed than Ailord had imagined.
Not only did the information include details like name, age, weight, daily nutrient percentages, and so on, but it also showed the quantity of each status, including skills and Talents of the goblin, which were surprisingly higher than Ailord's. Especially the Strength level, which was at 40. His mana was also not far behind, at 30, with high-level skills that were quite intimidating. Particularly when Ailord read the details of each skill.
"Who is he really? Could I have actually met a main character?" He wondered, puzzled, while continuing to examine the information, which now felt like reading a classified document.
Ailord quickly set aside his thoughts before feeling even more helpless and pressed the button to start the healing process. He thought this would take a little time. But no. Not even ten seconds and the healing was done. His body looked good, with no more cracks. He even appeared cleaner and shinier, as if he had just received a skin treatment.
"Every wound has been healed... For the price of 15,000 points, I actually feel like I've stole something," he said. It's not that he wasn't happy; who wouldn't be happy with such an extraordinary result at such a low cost?
But, at the same time, he felt unsettled.
Suddenly, Glok woke up. His eyes widened in surprise to find himself inside a glass dome that felt so comfortable that he wanted to go back to sleep. However, as a trained knight, he wasn't swayed and tried to rise, startling himself when he found his hands immobilized.
Looking down, he saw his hands bound by iron that felt surprisingly strong and sturdy. Even though he could crush iron with his bare hands.
Glok glanced towards the Construct that was also observing him, fear beginning to grip his heart. Worried that this iron Construct might turn him into a Construct as well. Or worse. Sucking out every mana from within him and stealing his strength.
