Ailord looked down, gauging how high he was from the ground, which would surely break his legs if he fell. He checked the batteries in both gloves, nodded in satisfaction, and prepared to descend closer to leader Nicholas's office window, hoping it wasn't protected by a magical seal; otherwise, he'd be in grave danger.
He surveyed the kingdom once more, noticing how much it had changed. He took a deep breath, exhaled, and vowed to save Copperhaven.
Although his heart was pounding, Ailord jumped down, immediately pressing both palms against the wall, which slammed his body into it hard enough to make him wince in pain. He was sure those spots would be blue and bruised afterward.
At least now he's safe, slowly moving closer to a nearby window on the right, with its lights still on—a sign that someone still inside.
"Don't rush, or he'll sense your presence."
