Suddenly, a huge gap opened between the trees that covered the sky of the elven town, and for the first time in many centuries, the sunlight fell directly on the town.
Some elves raised their heads to look at the light that had suddenly appeared, while the more intelligent ones quickened their speed of running or flying.
Some bow-carrying elves, called protectors, hid in tree branches and secretly placed their arrows in their bows. Just then these elves heard their emperor's voice in their ears ordering them to wait.
The protectors lowered their bows at their emperor's command, but they continued to watch the clearing in the sky carefully. But at this moment a second order came from the emperor. The guards hesitated for a moment, then put their bows on their backs again and moved to guide the people running to leave the town.
