Black was all around me. dark, shadows from the unknown..
I slowly gained consciousness, my body sluggish and uncooperative as the world around me came into focus. But instead of the familiar surroundings I expected, I was greeted by an all-encompassing darkness.
It was as if shadows had crawled out of the corners of the world and taken over, smothering the light. I blinked, trying to move, but my limbs felt heavy, like I was pinned down by the weight of the dark.
Something stirred, a presence so close I could feel it, but it was hidden, lurking behind the void. My breath quickened, the panic rising in my chest, and the feeling of being trapped overwhelmed me.
I fought against the binds that seemed to cover my eyes, my instincts screaming at me to break free. I was used to controlling things—blood, fire, life. But here, in this inky nothingness, I was powerless.
