Mankew's POV
The boy was an enigma. From the moment he stepped into this forsaken land, something about him made me suspicious—something dangerous, something far beyond what met the eye.
When I had caught him into a corner in the domain of trade, I thought it was over. That we had finally captured him. But we were wrong.
I had found almost all of the people I brought to capture him kneeling, not out of reverence or worship but pain.
I barely fared better, feeling my insides twist, as if something painful was pulling at my gut. His powers had never seemed to amaze us in the last 3 years. That's how long we've been hunting him under Noble Alex's orders.
