Lilith's POV
As we stepped out of the quiet sanctuary, the bustling energy of the market greeted us with an entirely different atmosphere. The stone archway framed the shift in scenery, from the calm, secluded garden to the vibrant streets lined with stalls and colorful banners fluttering in the breeze.
The air was thick with the mingling scents of spices, fresh bread, and the faint tang of incense burning somewhere nearby.
I walked beside Theo, my heart racing slightly as I caught sight of him in his black robe. I had insisted he change after his duel with my grandfather.
He looked every bit the warrior, with his greyish-silvery hair catching the light and framing his face, highlighting those hazel eyes that seemed to glimmer with a hint of mischief. Although he was shorter than me, he carried himself with a quiet confidence, a stark contrast to the playful tension that hung between us.
