The morning sun spilled over the garden, painting everything in shades of gold. The roses swayed gently in the breeze, their sweet scent mixing with the crisp freshness of the morning.
Birds chirped above, blissfully unaware of the tension knotting in my stomach. It's funny how nature can seem so serene and calm when everything in your world feels like it's teetering on the edge of chaos.
I sat on a wooden bench in our garden, absently running my fingers over the hem of my white dress. My chestnut hair probably looked more like a bird's nest than the real thing. But who cared? It wasn't like the garden would judge me.
My eyes darted towards Theo, who was sitting under a tree, twirling a blade of grass like it held the answers to life. His off-white hair caught the sunlight, giving him this unearthly...glow.
