A few days after the Red Gate Incident had happened, Kenjaku started feeling a familiar call to the palace of the Absolute.
The same 'voice' he heard the first time that drew him towards the Absolute Being.
Only this time, it came from his new 'heart' instead.
Finding a hidden alley to open the gate, Kenjaku walked through and found himself in a strange place.
It wasn't the main hall of the palace, but he could feel that he was still inside the building. Where this area was located was somewhere he had never seen within the palace.
'Is this spatial magic? If it is...then the caster must be at a high level.'
Kenjaku had found himself in a place that couldn't be explained by normal terms.
Although he was still in the palace, there was a giant red eye in the sky, with flames and red lightning surging rampantly around it.
The moment Kenjaku had appeared in the area, the eye locked onto his figure, it's gaze refusing to even move.
Under the sky, seemingly separated by a spatial barrier, was a completely calm ocean, devoid of any type of ripples or waves.
The contrast between them was staggering.
What Kenjaku was paying attention though, was the cause of these strange environmental effects.
In the sky above, hovering just below the massive eye, was a long golden spear covered in red lightning and fire.
Sticking out from the waters below, was a small land mass. On this land mass, a black and gold trident complete with a red cloth cloth and gold chain wrapped around it was stuck firmly in the ground.
WHOOSH!
Longinus suddenly appeared by Kenjaku's side, firmly within his grip, without his command. While he was surprised, when Kenjaku noticed how much the spear was vibrating, he slowly started to understand what was going on here.
"Longinus...you sound excited. Like you're reunited with old friends. I wonder, what are these weapons?"
Suddenly, Kenjaku's body started emitting a silver light, causing the Absolute Being to appear next to him, in his smaller, human-like form, unannounced.
Again, Kenjaku was surprised. Especially since he had already absorbed the Absolute's soul. There was no way he could just reappear here.
"How did you do this?"
Seemingly ignoring his question, the Absolute clasped his hands behind his back and said, "Before I split the light and darkness to create the Rulers and Monarchs...I created these weapons. Each weapon was meant for a champion from my creations."
Now that he heard him talk, Kenjaku started to understand what was going on here. This wasn't the Absolute Being just manifesting on his own. This was a 'recording' left behind within the Heart that probably revealed itself when he entered this area.
Understanding this, Kenjaku made sure to listen to what was being said. But his eyes could not leave the sight of those weapons. They gave him the same feeling that Longinus did...the feeling that they contained absolute power.
"The spear in the sky, was meant to be given to Antares, the strongest Monarch after his war with the Rulers. Likewise, the trident in the ocean was meant for Ashborn, the strongest Ruler, my loyal companion. These weapons would be their reward when they killed the rest of their respective opposing sides. But...I'm sure whoever I brought here knew what happened to me before then."
Kenjaku listened closely as he stood next to the Absolute, his mind racing at the new information.
'How did I not get these memories when I absorbed him? This...is a first. Maybe his soul was just that strong...or it was incomplete when I met him. Hm...'
Continuing his exposition on the area, a look of anger started to appear on the Absolute's face.
"Those ungrateful dogs took the life of their creator because of a short war. They fought for eons...hmph. Eons are like minutes to gods. They barely just started. But, I'm getting ahead of myself."
Suddenly turning towards Kenjaku, the Absolute shouted, "Champion, my new vessel, these weapons are now yours! They are a set! When we met, I might have convinced you that the Longinus was a new spear I forged just for you...but that was only a half-truth. Longinus was a weapon from 'my realm', these two were just formed from fragments of it. You need to put them together again, restoring Longinus to it's true form. A form that will show you why I called named myself the Absolute. So, I want you to understand this, my new vessel."
The ocean started to rage and the eye in the sky cried tears of fire as the Absolute's voice took on a more somber tone.
"If the Rulers and the Monarchs were the only ones that deserved my vengeance, then Longinus in it's current form would've been enough. Let me tell you the truth. I belong to a race of beings called the Itarim. We are cruel, warmongering gods that have no loyalties to each other. When they eventually figure out that I'm dead...they will send their apostles to pillage my creations, my children."
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Longinus flew out of Kenjaku's grip, flying into the sky, stopping in the space between the domains of the two weapons. The other weapons moved on their own, soon joining Longinus in the same space, rotating slowly around it.
"I'm giving you this weapon to make sure that those fools don't even take a sliver of mana from this word. Destroy them, erase my entire race if you have to. I picked you as my champion, so I expect you to be that strong. I expect you to live up to the name of the Absolute. Take this as my official handover. You are now the Absolute. Take my power and bring them down to their knees."
Kenjaku felt his body being dragged towards the weapons as they fused together, using his body as point of focus.
Space warped as the domain's belonging to both weapons started surging into Kenjaku's body.
An impossible sight to be sure.
The domain containing the eye in the sky primarily surged into his forehead, reaching his mind.
The ocean domain took up the rest of his body and soul, it's strange power pouring into every part of his body.
His black hair grew a bit more and now turned silver, while his eyes, that were usually red or orange, lost their pupils, leaving just blank yellow irises.
Even the tattoos he gained when he absorbed Sukuna disappeared. It was as if he was being reborn.
"It is complete. Try to not be as naive as I was in your rule, my successor. I will leave you to it."
With that, the spirit of the Absolute flew back into Kenjaku's body, taking its place in his Heart.
[An unknown amount of time later.]
"Hm?"
Kenjaku suddenly found himself waking up from what seemed to be a deep slumber. He sat on the throne of the Absolute, which had now become smaller to fit his human frame perfectly.
The man was back in the throne room, sitting on the throne as if nothing had happened.
Kneeling in front of him was Mei Mei and Nagi, who took her rightful place in the body of Han-Song Yi.
"Master Ji...I mean, Kenjaku...what happened?"
Nagi, still struggling to use his new name, looked on in awe as she laid her eyes on Kenjaku's form.
Getting up from his chair, Kenjaku outstretched his hand, causing a black and gold trident wrapped in a red cloth to appear within his grip in a flash of silver light.
"Longinus, so this was your true form. You're not as...ornate as before. But, now I could feel you even more. We've really become one."
Kenjaku was muttering to himself as he stared at the trident, running his hands over every crevice of it.
It was as if he was in love with the weapon.
"Master Kenjaku. Is it really you? Your soul, doesn't feel the same anymore."
The voice broke him out of his own thoughts, causing him to turn his gaze towards the women.
"Don't worry, Nagi. I am...me. My soul just had a change in it's nature, that's all. Stand up, you two."
Mei Mei, speechless at this turn of events, chuckled a bit when she thought about the reactions of the humans back on Earth.
After all, he didn't go through a simple change.
"Hm...what day is it?"
Mei Mei, confused about why he was asking this question, responded, "It's Wednesday, the 12th. Only about two weeks passed since you appeared on the throne, your body unconcious. Why, Ken?"
Kenjaku formed his signature outfit out of his biomass, caused Longinus to disappear, and opened a gate, preparing to return to Seoul.
"It's about time I take my place as an offical S-rank hunter. I promised Woo Jinchul I would be there two weeks ago. You two, stay here and keep training. You both need to catch up."
Kenjaku left just as Mei Mei was about to tell him something, causing her to sigh in resignation.
"I wanted to tell him about that Jeju Island rumor that's floating around...well, it's not like some flying ants are gonna harm him anyway.~"

[A/N: Wanted to try a trident since I've never used that weapon in any of my fics. Some of you might hate it lol, but it's just an experiment for now. And I know that the 'plot' is a little slow right now, my bad. We're finally starting to start to get to the good parts. Thanks for reading.]
