Ruin opened his eyes, disoriented. "Please let me just wake somewhere normal," he muttered a short prayer as his vision adjusted to the light but Instead of another goddess or mythical beast, he was met with something far more terrifying, Kimiko, glaring at him with eyes full of fury.
"You disappear for a week! A whole week! And when I finally find you, you're alone in a forest with a naked woman!" Kimiko's said her voice laced with anger.
Ruin's was about to answer her but suddenly stopped as memories of what had just transpired before he woke up flooded back. "Wait, where is Ragnarok? What did he mean by 'fail'? How am I even back here? Was all of that just a dream?" he murmured to himself. but suddenly turned to Kimiko as her words registered. "Wait, did you say naked lady?" he asked brushing off Ragnarok as things to deal with later.
He followed Kimiko's pointing finger to see Zayd sprawled on the ground, barely covered by a coat. Ruin couldn't help but stare, but a sharp kick to his shin from Kimiko snapped him back to reality.
"Men are so shameless," she snorted, disgust evident on her face. "I was worried sick about you! Everyone in town was. We conducted search parties day and night, thinking you were in serious danger. But no, I find you here, alone with this woman!"
Kimiko's rant was interrupted by Zayd stirring as they bith turned to kook at her. As she stood, the coat slipped, revealing her naked body. Ruin's cheeks turned bright red, and he almost started nosebleeding, but another painful kick from Kimiko brought him to his knees and his senses.
"And you, don't you have any decency? Cover yourself up!" Kimiko shouted at Zayd, who seemed disoriented.
"Oh, no need to get so worked up, it's but a trivial matter," Zayd said, flicking her finger to summon white clothes that adorned her instantly , "dammit!" the words slipped out of Ruin's mouth unintentionally promting another kick from Kimiko. "Wait, where am I?" Zayd suddenly asked as panic crept into her voice.
"I know, it's you! You brought me here!" Zayd's panic and anger were now directed at Ruin, who was still on the ground. She seemed ready to continue her tirade but suddenly regained her composure. "No worries, I'll just go back," she said, waving her hand in the air.
Ruin expected a bright light to envelop her and teleporting her back to that white place, but nothing happened. She tried a few more times, but still, nothing. Panic returned to her face as she knelt, clutching her hair and screaming, tears streaming down her face. "I've… I've lost my connection to the celestial space!" she sobbed.
"This… This is all your fault! I'm going to kill you!" Zayd shouted, pulling a crystal dagger out of thin air and charging at Ruin. But she stopped abruptly as she plopped to the ground and started sobbing again.
