Chapter 12 - Battle with the Originals (1)

Even before the griffin had the chance to move.Homura closed the distance in the blink of an eye and lashed out with a tendril of violet fire which coiled itself around it.Not wasting this chance she leapt up infront of the griffin and landed on its back, she then proceeded to inflict several injuries on its body. On all the spots her daggers brushed past, flesh split open and burst into flames.

As she was going for the finishing blow ,she suddenly jumped away dodging a torrent of flames heading her way. However, she noticed the flames we're not heading for her but the griffin she was fighting, she looked at the phoenix quizzically as she shouted out,"Hey whats with the friendly fire you overgrown chicken?" But that was when she noticed the numerous wounds she had inflicted on the griffin were healing. She shouted out in frustration as she decided to use this opportunity to finish the two of but she was interrupted by the appearance of the nine-tailed fox. She formed numerous flame daggers and sent them towards the fox but before the daggers could hit a puff of smoke appeared blocking his view but with so many daggers what would it matter. She was about to charge towards the phoenix again when the smoke cleared and to her surprise there was now not only one fox but nine of them.

They each looked exactly the same but the flame daggers had managed to hit their bodies piercing various parts. However all of them exploded into nothing but a puff of smoke. "What the hell!" She shouted out in confusion. Homura then saw a fox jumping towards her, she blocked it with one hand and with her other hand using fire for propulsion she punched it right in the stomach but this fox had also puffed into smoke as well. In the middle of punching, what Homura assumed was another fake appeared sending out an ice spear laced with lightning towards him. Homura thinking it was just another fake let it hit her but she immediately regreted her decision as she was sent crashing to the ground convulsing.
