"Fuck! I'm going to kill that idiot!"Homura shouted out her voice full of anger as she killed the last beast effortlessly. "What's the problem?" Ruin asked her with an inquisitive look as he wondered what has gotten her so worked up. "It's that sketchy old man who told me to come here, he promised me an exciting and dangerous journey if I took on this stupid quest!" She continued venting.Ruin looked at her with a dumbfounded look wondering who on earth would get angry at getting an easier job than the one they were promised."Whatever, let's just get this shit over with so I can...."Homura stopped in the middle of her sentence as immediately they set foot on the mountain top their scenery completely changed leaving them star struck wondering what had happened. They tried looking back from where they came but all that faced them was a stone wall. The air was thick with ancient dust and the scent of forgotten times as Ruin and Homura materialized in the heart of an unknown dungeon. Blue torches flickered along the walls, casting an otherworldly glow that danced across the stone floor and the faces of the two bewildered travelers.
Ruin's eyes darted around the chamber, taking in the four colossal statues that stood guard at each corner. A majestic phoenix with feathers ablaze in sculpted fire, a kirin with scales shimmering like precious gems, a nine-tailed fox, its tails fanning out in elegant arcs, and a griffin, proud and regal with its wings unfurled. At the center of the room, an empty pedestal seemed to await something—or someone with three circles surrounding it increasing in size outwards.Ruin then suddenly screamed out of nowhere. "What is it you chicken?"Homura asked Ruin. "That..that griffin just looked at me,"Ruin said in a shaky voice. "Come on,grow a pair for once," homura told him in a mocking tone.
Homura's gaze followed Ruin's, and her breath caught in her throat. "Do those beasts look familiar to you?," she whispered, her voice a mix of awe and excitement. "Oh , actually now that you ask they do look like the original beasts."He replied .These were the creatures of legend, the ancient creatures that were said to have roamed the earth before the dawn of man, now thought to be nothing more than myths.
"But where is the d...."Ruin was cut off by Homura's incessant laughter." Hahaha ,finally something exciting, I almost died of boredom."Homura said ,her warrior spirit ignited by the chance of adventure. She had grown weary of the mundane, the predictable.
"I'm still wondering how the fuck your brain works! You do realize were stuck here with no way out!" Ruin shouted at Homura fed up of her carefree behavior however Homura turned to him, her smile broadening. "But isn't that the thrill of it all?" she replied, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "What fun would it be if we could simply walk away?"
With a determined stride, she moved toward the pedestal at the center of the chamber. Ruin was left almost vomiting blood due to Homura's answer but though every fiber of his being urged him to flee, he found himself following her. There was no turning back now.
