Chapter 51 - Chapter 50

The little child could be heard crying more heavily. Daniel rushed out of the tent in a hurry, his heart pounding as he sprinted toward the direction of the cries. The night was dark and cold, the air thick with tension as he pushed through the underbrush, desperate to find the source of the sound.

Susan, holding her child tightly while hiding inside a box, could hear the child crying. Her face was etched with worry as she thought to herself, "Is that a child crying? This is bad." Helen, beside her, whispered with concern, trying to lift the lid of the box just enough to see outside.

As she peeked out, Helen's heart nearly stopped. Zombies were right in front of them, their grotesque forms shuffling eerily close. Fear gripped her heart, but she remembered Victor's warning about the zombies' sensitivity to sound. She held her breath and gently placed her hand over her daughter's mouth, ensuring the little girl stayed silent.
